A one year course consisting of 2 semesters covering formal coaching and on-job training. Eligibility:
The candidates who have obtained B.E./B.Sc. (Engg.) A.M.I.E. or equivalent degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Control & Instrumentation/ Power Engineering are eligible to apply for admission to this Post Graduate diploma Course. Those appearing in their final year examination may also apply. However, they must submit their result at the time of counseling.

Selection Criteria:
The Admission to this P.G. Diploma will be done by NPTI Nagpur on the basis of Merit based on COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CET) followed by counseling at NPTI Nagpur. CET will be held on 20.06.2010 at 8 centres i.e. Delhi, Nagpur, Bangalore, Durgapur, Faridabad, Guwahati, Nangal and Neyveli. A candidate who is allotted a seat during counseling will be required to pay the 1ST installment of fee (Rs. 30,000/- for non sponsored candidate and Rs. 40,000/- for sponsored candidate) immediately without which the admission will not be confirmed. The payment of fees is only through Demand Draft in favour of "NPTI Nagpur". No other mode of payment is acceptable.

Applications are to be filled online from www.nptinagpur.com or www.npti.in. The registration fee is Rs.800/- to be paid in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of NPTI Nagpur payable at Nagpur and the details of the demand draft to be given while filling online application. Each applicant will be given a unique ID on successful registration at site. Delhi Technological University, Delhi will hold an Entrance Examination for admission to first year of the four year BTech (Part-Time) Degree evening programme for employed diploma holders in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic & Communication engineering for the year 2010-2011 on 20th June 2010 (Sunday).

New Delhi; April 15, 2010: Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly Delhi College of Engineering, has announced the admissions for its BTech. Part-Time programs in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics & Communication Engineering, with an intake of 32 each (total 128 seats on offer) for the 2010-11 academic session. The part-time courses are of four years duration, where classes are held six days a week in the evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm. These courses are meant for practicing Diploma engineers, working in the NCT of Delhi. 
 
Eligibility: The admissions will be made on the basis of entrance examination, which will be conducted by the University on June 20, 2010. Those who have passed State Diploma Examination in Engineering of three years with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) and have served for a period of not less than one year as on October 1, 2010 in an established engineering works/ organization, located in the NCT of Delhi and contiguous industrial areas shall be eligible to appear in the entrance examination.

Eligibility: The candidate must be an Indian national. The candidate should be less than 28 years of age as on 01.07. 2010 (date of birth 1st July 1982 or later). A relaxation of up to 3 years in age can be given in the case of Other Backward Class applicants.

Selection Procedure: Applications will be scrutinized and suitability of candidates will be decided on the basis of their
academic performance. In each discipline, depending upon the number of applicants, candidates with marks above a cut-off will be called for WRITTEN TEST. For candidates under Category A or B percent marks of each previous semester/year of the qualifying degree will be used to decide the cutoff. For candidates under Category-C the percent marks of each previous semester/year of the qualifying degree will be used to decide the cut-off. Hence, candidates are advised to attach copies of all necessary mark sheets along with calculation showing the average marks scored.

Fellowship & Tenure: The selected candidates will be initially taken as Junior Research Fellows (JRF) and will be paid a stipend of Rs.12,000/- per month (consolidated). The fellowship will be provided initially for a period of two years. Continuation of the fellowship is subject to satisfactory performance and review at the end of each year. On satisfactory performance, the tenure of Fellowship will be further extended and upgraded to Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) from the third year onwards with a stipend of Rs.14,000/- per month (consolidated). The total period of the fellowship shall in no case exceed five years. They are entitled for contingency grant including book allowance of Rs.15,000/- per year.

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi has invited applications in the prescribed form for admission to the LL.M. Degree Course in (1) International Trade Law; and (2) Constitutional and Administrative Law.

There will be 6 seats each for the course. The course will be spread over a period of two academic years (4 Semesters) and will be offered under the credit and semester system. The minimum qualification for admission shall be a pass in the 5 year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Degree Examination of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50 % of the total marks in the aggregate. However, those who have appeared/are appearing for the final  year/ semester examination shall be eligible to submit application for admission. They shall have to produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination, before or at the time of interview, along with the detailed mark sheets.

Admission shall be based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (Maximum 50 marks) the performance in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the University (Maximum 40 Marks), and performance in the Interview (Maximum 10 marks). Russian scholarships for students

Russian scholarships for students 

The Russian Federal Agency of Education has announced scholarships for Indian students for 2010-2011.

Students, who had obtained more than 80 per cent of marks in the core subjects, were eligible to apply for this scholarship, a release from Russian Consulate.

The scholarship would cover 100 per cent of the tuition fee and hostel accommodation to all selected students. They, however, would have to bear travel expenditure to Russia.

The scholarships are offered at all levels of education, right from the bachelors level to the doctorate level.

The maximumn age limit for the Bachelor level is 25 years and for Post Graduation 35 years.

Those aspiring for a doctorate should be below 45 years.

Russian Federal Agency of Education would provide a monthly stipend for pocket and food expenditure to all the students.

B. Ph.D PROGRAMMES

Eligibility for Admissions:
Any Higher Degree of BITS or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination. Any applicant with qualification equivalent to Integrated first degree of BITS will be first examined for suitability to one of the higher degree programmes of the Institute. Such candidates may first be admitted to the M.E./M.Phil. programmes offered by the Institute subject to the eligibility conditions. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test/interview for selections. Selected candidates will be given financial assistance in the form of either a fellowship of any government agency or of the Institute, project or teaching assistantship, full/partial tuition waiver or a combination of these. Such selected candidates will be required to participate in teaching and any other developmental activities of the Institute under the guidance of a mentor.
Industries and R & D Organizations collaborating with BITS can sponsor candidates to work for Ph.D under the Ph.D Aspirants Scheme. Under this Scheme such Employed professionals working in Industries and R&D Organizations having long experience and proven competence aspiring for Ph.D. programme will be considered and will be allowed to pursue their research at their own locations of work. Employed Professionals working in Industries holding any of the BITS degree may also be considered under this scheme.

ASSISTANTSHIP/SCHOLARSHIP
Applicants for admission to the higher degree and Ph.D. programmes will also be considered for financial assistance in the form of Teaching/Project/Research Assistantships. Such selected candidates will be required to participate in teaching and other developmental programme of the institute under the guidance of a mentor. A limited number of scholarships are available to deserving candidates admitted to Higher Degree/Ph.D. Programme.

ELIGIBILITY
The eligibility of courses under the category of MBA/MCA/M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch are given below,

a) M.B.A. Degree Programme:
i) A pass in any Degree with 10+2+3/4 years pattern. (or)
ii) A pass in any degree with 10+3 (Diploma)+3 year pattern.

Candidates who have already passed the above qualifying degree course and those who have appeared for the final semester / year examination of the said qualifying degree course during April / May 2010 may apply for MBA/ MCA/ M.E/ M.Tech / M.Arch Common Entrance Test-2010, for admission to M.B.A. degree programme.

b) M.C.A.Degree Programme
i) A pass in any Degree with 10+2+3/4 years pattern with Mathematics* at +2 level or with Mathematics / Statistics** as one of the subjects at the degree level,
ii) *Mathematics or Business Mathematics. **Business Mathematics, Business Statistics, Algorithm and Numerical Methods, Numerical and Statistical Methods, Probability and Statistics, Probability Mathematics, Numerical Methods, Algebra and Probability Mathematics, Quantitative Techniques, Computer Oriented Numerical Methods. Engineering Mathematics, Mathematics for Management, Operations Research, Discrete Mathematics, Computational methods, Bio-Statistics, Allied Mathematics, Allied basic Mathematics, algebra - Analytical Geometry of three dimensions and Trigonometry, Business Statistics and Operation Research, Quantitative Methods of Business.

Candidates who have already passed and those who have appeared for the final semester / year examination during April / May 2010 with the said eligibility may apply for MBA / MCA / M.E / M.Tech / M.Arch Common Entrance Test - 2010, for admission to M.C.A. degree Programme.

c) M.E., /. M.Tech., / M.Arch., Degree Programme:
i) A pass in B.E/, B.Tech./B.Arch. Degree programme.
ii) B.Pharm / B.Sc. (Agri./ Forestry/ Horticulture/ Fishery) degree programe.
iii) Mater's Degree in the relevant branch of Science /Arts, which are prescribed.

Candidates with section 'A & 'B' certificate holders and other similar certificate holder of professional bodies or societies ( e.g. A.M.I.E.) recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt, of India are consider to be equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Degree programme only with 2 years industrial experience in the relavant field after successful completion of the course. An experience certificate is to be produced by the candidate.

Other state Candidates can write the Common Entrance Test, but eligibility conditions will be fixed by the admitting authorities.

Eligibility: Candidates appearing in the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply. However, the candidate must produce the final result/ mark sheet of qualifying examination at the time of admission. The University reserves the right not to run a course if the required number of applicants are not available. Reservations to various categories shall be as per Govt, of India rules.

Admission to all above mentioned courses shall be made on the basis of Vishwavidyalaya Entrance Test (VET). Minimum Eligibility for each course and application form for VET along with the admission brochure can be downloaded from University (www.ggu.ac.irt). However, forms will be accepted only when accompanied with a DD of Rs 400/-(Rs 200/- for SC/ST candidates) in favor of the Registrar, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, payable at Bilaspur (CG).
