MBBS ADMISSIONS 2010-2012

Applications are invited on prescribed form for admission to MBBS course starting from 1st July 2010.

The candidates shall be selected as per their merit in the Entrance Examination to be held on 18th April 2010 at Nagpur, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

Those students who are going to appear in 10+2 higher secondary board examination in March/April 2010 are also eligible to appear in the competitive entrance examination.

In the entrance examination the paper of Physics, Chemistry and Biology will have multiple choice questions, while that on Gandhian thought will be of long and short answer type.

The prospectus and application form with syllabus, question papers of Gandhian thought for the last 5 years, with model question papers of Physics, Chemistry and Biology can be had from the office of the Dean by remitting a sum of Rs. 1050/- (Rs. 1000 + Rs 50 as postal charges) only by money order in favour of the dean, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, District Wardha-442101 or by paying Rs. 1000/- in cash at the college counter.

Candidates must write their full address in capital letters and phone number on the 'space for communication and the space for sender's address on the money order form.

The Prospectus and form will be available from 1st December 2009.

The last date of receipt of filled up application with entrance examination fee of Rs. 1500/- is 26th February, 2010 and with an additional late fee of Rs. 100/- is 12th March, 2010.

Eligibility: The candidate must attain 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. The candidate must have passed 12th standard examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra state higher secondary education board or equivalent examination of any recognized board of any Indian university with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in each subject in one and the same attempt.

The candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks (40% in the case of SC/ST/VJ/NT/OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The admission is subject to any direction given by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, Hon'ble High court of Bombay Bench, Nagpur, Maharastra university of Health Sciences, Nashik and the Medical Council of India.

1. The fee structure in MGIMS is as applicable to the Govt. Medical Colleges in Maharshtra state. The Institute does not have any paid seats.

Procedure for submission of application form for admission:

1.Candidates, who wish to apply for more than one of (i) M.D. (Community Health Administration), (ii) Diploma in Health Education (D.H.E.), (iii) Other Post-Graduate (Degree/ Diploma) and MDS courses, should apply on separate application forms for each of the above mentioned courses.

2.The application complete in all respects must also be accompanied by attested copies of the under-mentioned certificates as per requirement of the course applied:
High School/ Higher Secondary Certificate for verification of date of birth.
Certificate in support of educational qualification: M.B.B.S. Degree/BDS Degree/ Master's Degree/ Bachelor's Degree – as per requirement of the course.
Detailed marks certificate of qualifying examinations: I, II & Final Professional examination of M.B.B.S./BDS or year-wise detailed marks certificates of Master's Degree/ Bachelor's Degree, as required course-wise.
The compulsory rotating internship certificate.
Registration Certificate from Delhi Medical Council/ State Medical Council/ Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.
Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribe/OBC certificate, if applicable.
Non-creamy layer certificate and OBC caste certificate as per the Central list published by the National Commission for OBC.
Employer's Certificate and a No Objection Certificate (NOC), if employed (as given in the application form).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
(i) A candidate, who holds MBBS degree from a recognized medical college or a foreign medical degree included in the schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and who has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India (MCI) or from any of the State Medical Councils after completing compulsory rotating internship shall be eligible to take this examination.

(ii) However, a candidate who after passing the final qualifying examination (MBBS or the foreign medical degree recognized by MCI), is undergoing 12 month compulsory rotating internship and is likely to complete the same by 31st March, 2010 can take up this examination. The candidate must produce a certificate from the head of institution that he/she will be completing internship by 31st March, 2010. But he/she will not be eligible for admission unless he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship and obtained full registration on or before 31st March, 2010.

(iii) The cut off dates for the recognition of the Medical Colleges for the year 2010 will be 31st October 2009. The colleges recognized after this date will not be considered.

METHOD OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION
(i) A candidate seeking admission to the Entrance Examination is required to send his/her application in the prescribed format which can be downloaded from our website www.hihtuniversity.org.
(ii) The candidate should fill in the application form in his/her own handwriting (in capital letters) clearly and legibly.
(iii) Furnishing of false information or suppression of material information in the application form will entail disqualification and shall render the candidate unfit for admission. If ineligibility is detected at any stage, the candidature/admission will be treated as cancelled and no further correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Further, the intimation in this regard will be sent to M.C.I. and concerned medical college for necessary action.
(iv) Incomplete application form will be rejected and no correspondence will be entertained by the University in this regard.
(v) It will be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that the correct address is filled in the Application Forms. The University shall not be responsible for any loss in transit or for incorrect address given by the applicant in the Application Form.
(ix) Application form complete in all respect alongwith a Demand draft for Rs. 1500/- (rupees one thousand five hundred only) should be sent to the Controller of Examination, HIHT University, Swami Rama Nagar, Doiwala, Dehradun 248140 (Uttarakhand) by speed post/registered post or deposited by hand at the office of the Controller of Examinations. Application received after the prescribed last date will be rejected.
(x) Demand Draft shall be in favour of HIHT University payable at State Bank of India, Jolly Grant (Branch code No- 10580), Dehradun

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

(i) There will be one paper of 3 (three) hours duration containing 250 Multiple Choice Questions consisting of all the subjects of MBBS curriculum.

(ii) The questions will be single response objective type. For each correct response a candidate shall be awarded four marks. One mark will be deducted for every wrong response. Zero mark will be given for the questions not attempted. More than one answer indicated against a question will be considered as incorrect response and will attract one negative mark.

(iii) The tentative number of questions from each subject will be as given below:-
Anatomy (10), Physiology (10), Biochemistry (10), Pharmacology (10), Pathology (15), Microbiology (10), Forensic Medicine (10), Social and Preventive Medicine (15), Ophthalmology (10), ENT (10), Medicine & allied (50), Surgery & allied (50), Obst & Gynae (30) and Paediatrics (10).

(iv) The examination will be conducted in English medium only.

(i) The result of successful candidates only with their rank numbers is expected to be declared by 7th February 2010 and will be displayed on the notice board of Examination section. It will also be available at our website www.hihtuniversity.org

    Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Two years post qualification work experience will be preferred. Candidates appearing for the final year degree examination can also apply.

    Focused MBA Programmes
    MBA Actuarial Science
    Candidates should have attained any of the following Educational Standards with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate at the graduation/post graduation degree level examination.
    􀂙 Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) in Statistics / Mathematics / Engineering / Economics / Computer Science / Allied Sciences with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Two years post qualification work experience will be preferred.
    o Graduate or Post graduate with Mathematical subjects. For this purpose, the following constitute mathematical subjects :
    o Mathematics or any of its branches
    o Statistics or any of its sub classification such as Mathematical Statistics and Applied Statistics
    o Economics
    o Computer Science

    􀂙 Candidate with graduation / post graduation from other disciplines should have passed 10+2 (H.S.C.) or equivalent with at least 85% in Mathematics / Statistics.

    MBA Banking Management & MBA Capital Market
    Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Two years post qualification work experience will be preferred.

    MBA Phamraceutical Management
    Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) in Life Sciences/Pharmacy, Microbiology, bio-tech and biochemistry from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Post Graduates in Sociology/psychology/Economics/Anthropology are also eligible. Two years post qualification work experience will be preferred.

    Ph.D. Programme
    􀂙 Candidates with requisite qualifications may be drawn from any of the streams listed below:
    1. Master's degree or equivalent in relevant disciplines such as humanities, social sciences, pure sciences and Commerce, from a recognized university/ deemed university/ institution recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
    2. Post-graduate Diploma in Business Administration, considered equivalent to MBA by AIU.
    􀂙 60% marks or equivalent CGPA at PG level.
    􀂙 Work Experience:
    At least 5 years full time work experience in executive or supervisory capacity after obtaining Master's Degree.

    􀂙 Engineering students with 65% marks or equivalent CGPA at degree level with 5 years of work experience in Academic / Academic Institution / Research / Corporate.

    Teaching Assistantship of Rs. 25000/- will be available to students for a period of 4 years. In addition, there would a waiver of the academic fee. Research grants of Rs. 10,000/- per annum for Ph.D. Research will be made available.

    Eligibility Criteria for Part Time MBA
    Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent educational pattern recognized by the UGC & AIU. Three years post qualification work experience in Supervisory/Executive Cadre as on 31st December 2009 is essential.

    Eligibility Criteria for Full Time EPGDBM(Bangalore Campus)
    Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from a recognized University OR Equivalent pattern recognized by the UGC & AIU with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Five years post qualification work experience in Supervisory/ Executive Cadre as on 31st December 2009 is essential.

    The following criteria are common for all programmes
    􀂙 The candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate from any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

    ô€‚™ The Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail  a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or its equivalent. The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor's degree would be considered on the basis of the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree.

    􀂙 In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university / institution from where they have obtained bachelor's degree.

    􀂙 Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree required and are awaiting results can also apply. Admission will be subject to their fulfilling the eligibility norms as mentioned above.


    Eligibility Criteria for International candidates
    Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from recognized University by the AIU with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or 'B' Grade / equivalent CGPA. Two years post qualification work experience will be preferred.

    Candidates from countries, or Indians working in countries, other than listed test centres, need to have valid GMAT score of 650 and above. Following documents to be produced at the time of Group Discussion/Personal Interview (for shortlisted candidates only).

    􀂙 Statement of Purpose (SOP) : Reason for applying to the proposed programme, study interests, future career plans etc.

    􀂙 Letter of Recommendation: Two testimonials are required. Recommendation letter should be from a faculty member/ Professional Associate /Referee at the last school you attended as a full time student or from work associates who can comment on your academic potential for graduate work.

    􀂙 English Proficiency: Adequate command of spoken and written English is required for admission. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores are required of all applicants whose first language is not English.

    􀂙 Visas: Student has to maintain an appropriate visa status for their stay in the India. Note : Group Discussion & Personal Interview will conducted only in Mumbai (except EPGDBM-Bangalore).

    Selection Process
    Selection to the FTMBA-Core, MBA Actuarial Science, MBA Banking Management, MBA Capital Management, MBA Pharmaceutical Management, Part-time MBA, Ph.D. Programme, EPGDBM (Bangalore Campus) of NMIMS for the academic year 2010-12 will be based on a two stage process.

    NMAT is common for all above programmes.
    Stage 1:
    􀂙 The first stage consists of NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT 2010)
    o All eligible candidates will have to appear for the NMAT being conducted from 30th January to 8th February, 2010.
    o NMAT will be conducted in 19 test centres across the country and 11 test centres overseas the details of which have been provided in online application form.

    Stage 2:
    Selection for second level of shortlist will be done viz. Group Discussion and personal interview based on NMAT performance. Which will be held in third week of March 2010. Shortlisted candidate has to register online for Group Discussion and Personal Interview by paying Rs. 950/- by Demand Draft in favour of SVKM's NMIMS payable at Mumbai. Detailed schedule for Group Discussion & Personal Interview will be available on the website.

    Note:
    Group Discussion & Personal Interview will conducted only in Mumbai (except EPGDBMBangalore).

    The final selection will be based on the over all academic performance, work experience, scores in the NMAT and performance in the Group Discussion & Personal Interview.

    Separate Group Discussion/Personal Interview & Presentation (as applicable) will be conducted for Part Time MBA, MBA Pharmaceutical Management, Ph.D. Programme, EPGDBM (Bangalore Campus).

    􀂙 The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of NMAT Score, Group Discussion, Personal Interview and work experience marks. (Note : 15% seats are reserved for Management Quota in each course out of total intake)
    􀂙 The selection criteria will be based on merit. The cut-off for deciding the merit shall lie solely with the NMIMS. In this regard, the decision of the NMIMS will be final and undisputable and shall be binding on all concerned.

    Admissions to Professional Degree Courses, Kerala in Medicine (including Agriculture and Veterinary), Engineering and Architecture for the academic year 2010-11

    Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has invited applications for admissions to Professional Degree Courses, Kerala in Medicine (including Agriculture and Veterinary), Engineering and Architecture for the academic year 2010-11. The Entrance Examinations for admission to these courses except Architecture will be held at all the District Centres in Kerala, New Delhi and Dubai (UAE) as per Indian Standard Time (IST).

    The Engineering Entrance Examination (For admission to engineering courses except Architecture) will be held from 10 am to 12.30 noon (IST) on 19th and 20th April, 2010 with Paper-I (Physics & Chemistry) on 19.04.2010 (Monday) and Paper-II (Mathematics), on 20.04.2010 (Tuesday).

    The Medical Entrance Examination (for admission to Medical/ Agriculture/ Veterinary Courses) will also be held from 10 am to 12.30 noon (IST) on 21.04.2010 (Wednesday; Paper-I : Chemistry & Physics)  and 22.04.2010 (Thursday; Paper-II: Biology).

    Courses in the Medical/Agriculture/Veterinary stream include (i) MBBS (ii) BDS (iii) BHMS (iv) BAMS (v) BSMS (vi) BSc. Hons. (Agriculture) (vii) BFSc. (Fisheries) (viii) BSc. Hons. (Forestry) and (ix) BVSc & AH Courses in the Engineering stream include the B.Tech Courses in Engineering Colleges and the B.Tech (Agricultural Engg) and B.Tech (Dairy Science & Technology courses under the Kerala Agricultural University. Allotment to the Medical and Engineering courses will be based on the rank in the respective Entrance Examinations.

    No Entrance Examination will be conducted by the CEE for admission to B.Arch. course. Allotment to B.Arch course will be based on the rank list prepared by giving equal weightage to the marks in NATA and qualifying examination. Those desirous of seeking admission to B.Arch course should compulsorily appear and qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) and also apply separately to the CEE as per this Notification.

    Eligibility:

    Nationality: Applicant should be an Indian citizen. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders will be treated on par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission.

    Nativity: Applicant should be a Kerlaite or Non-Kerlaite. Applicants are considered for admission to various types of seats allotted by the CEE, based on their Nativity status.

    Keralite: Applicants of Kerala origin will be categorized as 'Keralites'. Others will be categorized as 'Non-Keralites'.

    An applicant will be considered as a 'Keralite', for the limited purpose of eligibility for admission, if (a) he/she or his/her father/mother was born in Kerala OR (b) he/she has been a resident of Kerala for a period of 5 years within a period of 12 years OR (c) he/she has undergone his/her school studies from Standards VIII to XII in educational institution(s) in Kerala, subject to the submission of the relevant certificates in the application form as prescribed in the Prospectus. Applicants who are children of All India Service (AIS) officers allotted to Kerala cadre, claiming Keralite Status, should produce a certificate from the competent authority showing that the parent of the candidate is an AIS officer allotted to Kerala cadre.

    Non-Keralites: Non-Keralites are classified as 'Non-Keralite Category-I' and 'Non-Keralite Category-II'. 'Non-Keralite Category-I' candidates are those who have undergone the qualifying course in Kerala, and who are the sons/daughters of Employees of the Government of India OR employees who are serving in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala, subject to the condition that, all categories of the employees mentioned, should have served in Kerala for a minimum period of 2 years or should have served in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala for a minimum period of 2 years. Such candidates will be eligible for admission to the Government seats under 'State Merit' only, for all the courses, which are filled on the basis of the rank in the Entrance Examination(s) or the rank list prepared by giving equal weightage to the marks in NATA and qualifying examination, as applicable.

    Candidates who do not belong to the 'Keralite' or 'Non-Keralite Category-I' will be treated as 'Non-Keralite Category-II'. They are eligible for admission only to the 'State Merit' seats in the Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges in the State and in the Management Quota seats in Self-financing Engineering institutions sponsored by Government. Non-Keralite candidates will not be considered for admission against reserved seats.

    Academic Qualification:

    Medical/Agriculture/Veterinary Courses: Applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology together. Those seeking admission to BVSc & AH course under the Kerala Agricultural University, in addition, should have passed the qualifying examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English put together, as per the regulation of Veterinary Council of India. Those seeking admission to MBBS/BDS courses should secure 50% marks in the Medical Entrance Examination, as per the guidelines issued by Medical Council of India.

    Those who do not satisfy the eligibility as per the Higher Secondary/Equivalent examination will be considered for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS Courses if they have a B.Sc Degree with one of Physics/Chemistry/Zoology/Botany/Bio-Chemistry as Main, and any one or two of these subjects as subsidiaries, with 50% marks for Main and Subsidiaries taken together, after having passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects.

    Engineering Courses: Applicant should have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and one among Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology together. Those with 3- year Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examinations, Kerala or equivalent, having 50% marks in the final Diploma examination, are also eligible for admission to Engineering courses except to those offered by Kerala Agricultural University.

    Architecture Course: Applicant should have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Mathematics as a subject of examination, with 50% marks in aggregate. Those who have passed 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks, those with International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination are also eligible to apply for B.Arch Course. In addition, applicant including those belonging to SC/ST/SEBC categories should have scored 40% marks (80 marks out of 200) in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture).     Relaxation in marks in the Qualifying Examination : For all courses, a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination will be allowed to those candidates who belong to the communities listed under the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and whose annual family income is up to Rs. 4.5 lakhs. SC/ST candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination.

    Those belonging to SEBC categories, seeking admission to MBBS/BDS courses, need 45% marks in Biology and 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, in the qualifying examination and 40% marks in Medical Entrance Examination. Those belonging to SC/ST categories need 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together in the qualifying examination and 40% marks in the Entrance Examination for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses. Applicants with Locomotory Disability between 40% and 70% need only 45% marks for Biology and 45% marks for Biology, Physics and Chemistry taken together as academic eligibility for MBBS course. They need only 45% marks in the Entrance Examination to qualify for MBBS course.

    Those appearing or have appeared for the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination or for the 3-year Engineering Diploma Examination of the current academic year, may take the Entrance Examination(s) provisionally. Their admission will be subject to their proving academic eligibility on the date of admission. However, those applying for Medical courses based on BSc. Degree should have passed the Degree Examination at the time of submission of application.

    Age: Applicant should complete 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2010.

    Application Forms:
    Only one application need be submitted for the entrance examinations for admission to one or more of Medical/Agriculture/Veterinary, Engineering and Architecture courses.

    Application Fee:
    Application Fee is Rs.700/- for General candidates and Rs.350/-, for SC/ST candidates.  Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates whose annual family income is below Rs.40,000/- can have Application Form free of cost from the District Offices of the Scheduled Tribes Development Department on production of Community Certificate and Income Certificate. The colour of the General Application form is White while the colour of the Application from for SC/ST applicants is Sky Blue. Those under 'Other Eligible Communities' (OEC) should apply in the General application form. Applicants who are children of Inter-Caste Married Couple, of which one is SC/ST, should apply in the form meant for SC/ST.

    Sale of Forms: The Application forms will be available through selected Post offices in the state and outside, from 7th December 2009 till 6th January, 2010. The amount towards the fee of application is to be remitted in cash at the Post Offices. The Application Kit includes an Application form, OMR Data Sheet, an envelope bearing the address of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and the Prospectus. Those purchasing the kit should ensure that the Application number printed in the Application Form, OMR Data Sheet and on the cover are the same.

    Online Application:
    Those who do not claim any reservation benefit and those belonging to Non-Keralite category can apply 'Online' at www.cee-kerala.org. On successful submission of the data online, an Application number will be generated. The applicant should take a print out of this application. The application fee Rs.700/- has to be remitted in any branch of State Bank of Travancore (SBT) using the chalan contained in the print out of the application. Print out of application complete in all respects along with original chalan certified by the Bank authorities and other requisite certificates should be forwarded to the Office of the CEE before the last date specified for submission of application forms. Applicants who do not have access to State Bank of Travancore (SBT) can attach a Demand Draft for Rs.700/- drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations payable at Thiruvananthapuram, as application fee along with the Application form, with Application Number and Name of Applicant written on the back of the Demand Draft. Online application process will be completed only on receipt of the print out of the application along with all requisite certificates, in the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

    Centre Fee:
    Those opting 'Dubai' (UAE) as the Centre for Entrance Examination, should submit along with their filled in application form, a Demand Draft for Rs.8,500/-, drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the 'Commissioner for Entrance Examinations' payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Those applying online and choosing 'Dubai' as Cente for the Entrance Examination, should enclose Demand Drafts for Rs.700/- (Application fee) and Rs.8,500/- (Centre fee). Examination at Dubai centre is conducted as per Indian Standard Time (IST).

    Last Date:
    Filled in Application Form along with the OMR Data Sheet and other relevant documents, to be submitted with the Application Form, enclosed in the printed envelope bearing the address of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations supplied along with the application form or the print out, DD/Challan and other documents in case of online applications, should reach the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, latest by 5 p.m. on 06.01.2010 (Wednesday), by Hand/Registered Post/Speed Post. Completed Applications will be received in the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations on holidays also.

    Applicant should have a Bachelor's Degree (10 + 2 + 3 (4) system) with minimum 50% marks or an equivalent qualification, in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Those appearing for the final examination of a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.

    Students with demonstrable aptitude for expressing, assessing or conceiving ideas that move people to action and achieve business results, will stand better chances of being shortlisted.

    The selection process for the PGDM (C) involves three stages.

    Stage-1 is the requirement of CAT/GMAT. Applicant should have CAT 2009 score or GMAT score of 31.12.2007 or later. Indian students can also apply with GMAT scores. GMAT score of 600+ will be considered in lieu of CAT. However short-listing, will depend on the number of applications. (The CAT cut-off percentile for 2009-2011 was 90 percentile and above overall, with sectional cut off of 50 percentile and above in DI & QT and 60 percentile and above for Verbal Comprehension)

    Stage-II is MICA Admissions Test (MICAT) for candidates short-listed from CAT/GMAT, to be held in February/March at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, designed to assess analytical and divergent thinking, written communication skills and familiarity with the Indian ethos.     Stage-III includes Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).

    Eligibility Criteria

    Degree / Diploma Programs:

    Applicants must meet all requirements of eligibility stipulated by Medical Council of India (MCI). They should be holders of recognized medical qualification as per Medical council India Act and must have completed or completing their internship by 30/04/2010.

    MCI REGULATIONS:

    Every student, selected for admission to a Post Graduate medical course in any of the medical institutions on acquiring MBBS Degree or an equivalent qualification thereto shall have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India, or any of the State Medical Council(s) or shall obtain the same within a period of one month from the date of his/her admission, failing which his/her admission shall stand cancelled. In the case of a foreign national, the Medical Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for the registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate training restricted to the college / institution to which the applicant is admitted for the time being exclusively for Post Graduate studies; Provided further, that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subjected to the condition that such person is duly registered as medical practitioner in his own country from which the applicant has obtained his / her basic medical qualification and that his / her degree is recognized by the corresponding Council or concerned authority.

    ***As per the Post Graduate Regulation 2000 of Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test (SDUAHER– AIPGMET–2010) for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate Courses shall be 50% for candidates belong to General Category and 40% for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes. Rank list / Rank Card will be prepared only for those students who are eligible for admission to Post Graduate Courses as per the Medical Council of India Post Graduate Regulations.

    **** The Academy reserves the right to approve the admission of the candidate after verifying all the original documents of the applicant. Mere possession of Rank and Rank card does not qualify an applicant for claming a seat.

    Note:
    Change of category status like SC, ST, OBC, will not be entertained subsequent to the submission of application form for SDUAHER–AIPGMET– 2010. The students are cautioned to state/provide correctly their category status while filling the application. The declaration / certificate is subject to verification. Any discrepancy or misrepresentation as to the category status while applying entails automatic
