Eligibility:
Candidates having passed (or due to appear in the final examination) their Master's degree in the concerned field with Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of at least 6.60/10.00 in ten-point scale, at least 3.25/5.00 in five-point scale, at least 2.60/4.00 in four-point scale for General, OBC and UPS categories candidates whereas for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates the said requirement is an OGPA of at least 5.60/10.00, 2.75/5.00, 2.20/4.00 respectively.

In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC and UPS categories whereas for SC/ST/PH the requirement is 50% marks. (Please note that equivalence between OGPA and % marks will not be acceptable). The candidate must have completed all requirements including thesis viva voce examination or project training etc. on or before 31st July, 2015.

In-service candidates:
Candidates in permanent employment with Central/State Governments and Universities with minimum two years service (as on 31st July 2015) in the relevant field of specialisation and otherwise meeting the eligibility requirements given above can apply as in-service candidates. The candidates must be fully sponsored by the employer. The in-service candidates are also required to appear in the entrance examination and obtain minimum qualifying marks for admission.

Eligibility:

Summer Training Programme in Physics (STIP-15) and Chemistry (STIC-15)

Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research is conducting a six week Summer Training Programme in Physics (STIP-15) and Chemistry (STIC-15) for students entering their final year of regular or integrated MSc (Physics/Chemistry).
(Students completing MSc in 2015 need not apply.)

This six week long programme will comprise of both theoretical lecture courses and hands-on laboratory experience through projects. This programme is aimed at motivating the students to pursue a career in research. The theme for this year’s course is Materials: Structure And Properties.
Twenty students will be selected in each discipline. The selected students will be provided a stipend of Rs.4000/- per month and their travel expenses by sleeper class train will be reimbursed.

Eligibility:
A consistent good academic track record with a First Class in BSc and First Semester of MSc and with a strong desire to take up Research career.

Korean Government Scholarship 2015

Online applications are invited from Indian nationals through MHRD's website http://mhrd.gov.in  for nominations of Korean Government Scholarship tenable from I" September 2015 to study at a Korean University or Institution as designated by NIIED. Eight (8) nominations are to be sent to the Korean Government for final selection which is to be made by them.

Only five Scholarships are to be awarded. Applicants are advised to visit Korean Government Scholarship Programme (KGSP) website i.e. www.stndyinkorea.go.kr for details of the scholarship. Scholarship would be available for studies in the followings:
i) Bio-technology
ii) Agriculture.
iii) Korean Language & Literature

2. Age: Applicants must be under 40 years of age as of September 1, 2015 (born after September 1, 1975).

3. Qualification: Applicants must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree as of August 31, 2015 for applying for Master's degree or Doctoral degree respectively. Equivalent foreign degree will be considered.

Duration of scholarship:

Value of Scholarship:

Eligibility:

In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC and UPS categories whereas for SC/ST/PH the requirement is 50% marks.
