INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
1. Candidates shall read the Prospectus carefully before filling in the application and preserve the prospectus till the completion of the programme.
2. The candidates has to detach and fill in the following:
(i)Application form (ii) Computer Coding sheet (iii) Address slip
3. Application for add-on Post Graduate Diploma Programmes shall be submitted to the department concerned after admission to Post Graduate programme.
4. Applications must be complete in all respects. Incomplete Applications will be rejected without any intimation.
5. Separate application forms (at a cost of Rs.300/-) shall be submitted for each Programme (including Regular and Self-supportive programme) offered by the different Schools. Applications cannot be transferred from one School to another.
6. Foreign Nationals including NRIs with valid Passports and Visa issued by the Government of India and Refugees will be considered for admission subject to the conditions prescribed by the Government, their eligibility of schooling and qualifying examinations passed.
7. 15% supernumerary seats are available for all the PG courses (Regular programmes only) for Foreign Nationals including NRIs. They need not appear for Entrance Test.
8. The filled-in Application shall be sent directly to the Registrar, University of Madras, Tholkapiar Valagam (Chepauk) on or before 05.05.2011.
9. Attested copies of mark statements of the qualifying examination shall be sent along with the filled-in application form. However, the applicants who will appear for the final semester examinations during April/May 2011 shall send the application form along with the attested mark statements up to Five Semesters.
The final semester mark statement shall be sent within 7 days after the publication of results of U.G./P.G. Examinations of the Madras University.
10. The candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from other Universities shall obtain the eligibility certificate from the University of Madras and submit the same at the time of admission to the Course of study.
11. To obtain the eligibility Certificate, candidates are directed to contact the University Information Centre (Enquiry Office) /ERC Section of this University.
12. Entrance Examination will be conducted by the respective Departments / Schools and Hall ticket will be sent to the students by the Departments concerned.(List of courses for which Entrance examinations are conducted and list of courses for which admissions are made based on the qualifying examinations are provided elsewhere in this brochure)
13. Admissions to Masters/M.Phil. programmes are based on the marks obtained in the Basic qualifying Examinations 50% and the Entrance Examination 50% of marks.

14. Admission to M.B.A. (Regular and Self-supportive) and M.C.A. courses are based on the marks obtained in the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by the Anna University. Besides, 15% Supernumerary seats are available for M.B.A.
Self-supportive course for the candidates sponsored by the Public/Private sector at a separate fee.
15. Attach a Rs.20/- stamped self addressed 24x12 cm envelope along with filled-in application.
16. University is not responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit.
17. Number of seats are limited to each department offering the courses and selections are made following communal roster prescribed by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
18. Candidates from other States (except SC/ST) will be considered for selection under General Turn only.
19. Relaxation upto 5% of marks is considered to SC/ST/Physically and visually Challenged candidates for admission to M.Phil. programmes. Differently abled candidates shall enclose a certificate issued by the Department of Rehabilitation, Government of Tamil Nadu, in proof of evidence.

The UGC had released FIVE fellowships under the UGC–BSR Research fellowship scheme to the Ramanujan Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics for the year 2010- 2011. The value of the fellowship is Rs.10,000 ( to be increased to Rs. 14,000) p.m along with a contingency grant of Rs.12,000 per annum.

Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination of a University/Board other than those approved by Anna University and have been selected, will be admitted to the college provisionally, subject to their qualifications being recognized by the Anna University/Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE). The candidates concerned should therefore write to the Registrar of the Anna University/ DoTE in advance to obtain and produce in original, the documentary evidence of acceptance by the University/DoTE , of their qualification before being admitted to the college. The admission to the college will be made on the basis of the declaration by the candidate, If the qualification, for any reason, is not recognized by the University/DoTE, the candidate will have to discontinue the course.

Only those candidates selected under the merit and NRI quota will be intimated at the first instance. Those who applied against possible lapsed seat (if any) will have to wait till the Government of Tamilnadu closes the admissions, to find out the vacancies (if any). The selection of candidates will be provisional, subject to their being found eligible on the verification of their original certificates at the time of admission. Eligibility
AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age on 31st December 2011 (the date of birth being shown on the Matriculation or Higher Secondary Certificate or equivalent certificate). Applicants born after 31st December 1994 are not eligible to apply for admission to Undergraduate courses starting in July 2011.

NATIONALITY:
Applicants must be citizens of India for UG AWT 2011. Persons of Indian Origin with Citizenship of other countries may apply under NRI category for which a separate prospectus is available. No other foreign national will be admitted.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:
A candidate for admission to MBBS and BDS courses must have obtained not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the qualifying examination (as per MCI Regulations 1997).
For admission to B.Sc. Nursing and BPT course a Candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in 10+2 examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, backward classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together in qualifying examination be 40%.


General school information:
Candidate must have passed qualifying examination as under:
1. The higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years education structure as recommended by the National Committee on education
OR
2. The intermediate examination in science of an Indian University/Board of recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject;
OR
3. The Pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination, or the pre-university or an equivalent examination. The pre-professional/pre-medical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and also English as a Compulsory Subject.
OR
4. The first year of the three-year degree course of a recognized university with Physics,
Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course.
OR
5. B.Sc. examination of an Indian University, provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. examination with not less than two of the following subjects-Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects-Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English.
OR
6. Any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the
intermediate science examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in each of these subjects and English.
Candidates will have to obtain eligibility from the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab.

Note:
1. Punjab domicile candidates should have passed his/her 10+1 and 10+2 examination or other qualifying examination (as listed above) as regular candidate from a recognized institution situated in Punjab only. The candidate would be required to submit a certificate to this effect from the Principal/Head of the Institution last attended in the prescribed Performa.

The candidates who have studied as regular students both for 10+1 and 10+2, for two years in a recognized institution situated in Punjab and have appeared in the 10+2 examination from that institution but due to failure have cleared the 10+2 examination in supplementary batch, or subsequently are also eligible subject to the condition that they clear such examination before submitting form for Entrance Test or if they have appeared in the examination, at the time of submissions of the form for entrance test and their result of 10+2 is yet awaited, they submit a proof of having cleared the said examination at the declaration of the awaited result with requisite eligibility conditions.

2. In case the candidate has also studied mathematics along with Physics, Chemistry,
Biology and English then the marks obtained in Mathematics are not to be considered for the purpose of calculation of 10+2 marks for consideration of merit.

3. Examination of universities / board / body outside India - Applicants seeking admission on the basis of qualification obtained in foreign countries from a University/Board outside India shall apply to the Registrar Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Kotkapura Road, Faridkot-151 203, Punjab, India (http://www.bfuhs.ac.in) to receive an Eligibility certificate for applying for admission to 1st year Undergraduate courses of this college. If a true copy of the eligibility certificate does not accompany the detailed marks of the qualifying examination for admission, the application will not be considered. However, all applicants who are hopeful of getting eligibility certificate from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences can appear in the entrance test provided the fee for the test has been paid by the applicant.

Candidates having qualifying examinations from schools / institution outside India are to
produce proof of Indian citizenship (Passport only) at time of admission.

It is upon the candidate to prove and support with appropriate documentation and
certificates that he / she is eligible to apply under a certain category and for the courses
mentioned. No documentation is to be produced for applying to appear in the UG AWT 2011 and as such information provided in the ICR form will be considered as true. BUT at the time of appearing for counseling the candidate will have to prove the facts given in the ICR form regarding eligibility to be admitted to a particular course in a particular category E.g. A candidate applying in category 8 for B.Sc. Nursing will have to prove that she is from Punjab as well as from Backward caste.

1. Combined prospectus cum application forms can be obtained directly from College Prospectus counter of the Accounts Department, Christian Medical College Hospital on cash payment of Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) from 28th March 2011 to 28th April 2011.

2. Combined prospectus cum application form can be obtained from designated branches of The Federal Bank Ltd. (page 8), by paying Rs. 1100/- (cash only) till 22nd April 2011.

3. Combined prospectus cum application forms can be obtained by post from 28th March 2011 to 15th April 2011 by sending a bank demand draft payable to “Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society”, payable at Ludhiana for Rs.1100/- (Rupees one thousand one hundred only). Money Order, Cheque & postal order are not acceptable. Applicants should send the bank demand draft to the Registrar, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana-141 008, Punjab along with a covering letter stating “UG AWT 2011Prospectus cum application form” and mentioning the complete address of the applicant including pin-code, email and mobile number.

Last date for receipt of completed application forms along with the application fee in the Registrar’s Office is 30th April 2011 till 1.00 pm at the counter.

There is only one admission written test for all four courses. Therefore a candidate needs to fill only one ICR application form. Application fee is Rs. 2000/- for appearing in the AWT -2011. The fee must be paid by crossed bank demand draft made payable to “CHRISTIAN MEDICAL COLLEGE LUDHIANA SOCIETY”, payable at LUDHIANA.

Eligibility Qualifications:

SSC Examination of CBSE or equivalent (10+2) with 50% or more marks for General Category and 45% for SC/ST/PH and CWAPP Category in the aggregate of four subjects viz. PCBE for BPT/BOT and PCBE/PCME for BPO, provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately.

The candidates appearing / appeared in the 10+2 examination may also apply. However, it is subjected to their clearance of qualifying examination with required percentage of marks before declaration of result of entrance test.

The candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination before the year 2008-2009 and have discontinued their regular studies for more than 3 years are not eligible to appear in the entrance test.

Age as on 01.08.2011 - Minimum 17 years of age.

Maximum of 23 years of age for General Category, 28 years of age in case of SC/ST/PH category.

Eligibility
For Test Three:
Passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the CBSE in any stream of 10+2 (Academic)or any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate. The subject Hindi/Sanskrit is compulsory for Modern Office Practice (Hindi) and the candidate should have passed in this subject without considering grace marks.
For Test Five:
For l0+2 Vocational (Engg. Courses) - Passed in 12 Class examination of analogous 10+2 Vocational Stream of CBSE or equivalent from Delhi Schools with minimum 60% marks in aggregate of best five subjects for which marks are reflected in the mark sheet without considering grace marks in these best five subjects.
For ITI pass outs (Engg. Courses) - Passed NCVT/SCVT from lTls/ lTCs located in Delhi and affiliated to DGEGTI BTE, Delhi with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all subjects reflected in the mark sheet without considering grace marks.

The Information Bulletin with Application Form for candidates outside Delhi can be obtained by registered/speed post. The request should reach the Controller, Board of Technical Education, Muni Maya Ram Marg, Pitampura, Delhi – 110088, latest by 19.04.2011 (4:00 PM) with a bank draft of Rs.350/- per test drawn in favor of DKDF payable at Delhi (Name, Address & Phone No. of the candidate should be mentioned clearly on the back side of Bank Draft) and a self addressed envelope (size not less than 24X30 cm) AFFIZING THEREON Rs.50/- postage stamp. The envelope requesting for issuance of information bulletin and application form by post must be superscribed at the left-top corner with “Request for Information Bulletin for CET-2011”

Information Bulletin is also available on the website of the Department at – www.cetdelhi.nic.in. The downloaded application forms will be accepted only at Board of Technical Education, Muni Maya Ram Marg, Pitampura, Delhi-88 with a DD of Rs.350/- in favor of DKDF payable at Delhi.

Eligibility:
(A) Candidates must have appeared in CAT 2010.
(B) They must hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree (minimum 10+2+3) in any discipline.
Candidates of B.Sc. / B.A. / B. Com. Honours must have minimum 55% marks in average (45%
for SC/ST) in their Honours subject. Candidates of other graduate courses must have minimum
55% marks (45% for SC/ST) in graduation, computed as average of marks in ALL subjects in
which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects). Candidates graduating in 2011 can
also apply, provided they have at least 55% marks (45% for SC/ST) at the time of applying.
They must submit marksheets by 31 Oct 2011. Candidates with qualifications acquired through
correspondence or distance-learning programmes are eligible only if they acquired such
qualifications as working professionals, and have passed the programme.
(C) Candidates must have Verbal Percentile at least 40 (25 for SC/ST) and Total Percentile at
least 40 (25 for SC/ST) in CAT-2010.


Selection Procedure:
Provisional selections will be based on Total Percentile in CAT-2010 of candidates who have
applied and fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned above. All notifications will be on our website.
No separate intimations will be sent to candidates.


How to Apply:

The MBA 2011 Information Brochure is given on our website. To apply for the programme, eligible candidates must fill in the online application form on our website, and send printoutwith requisite enclosures and crossed DD for Rs. 1,600/- in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi, by 29 April 2011, at the address below. The link for filling the online form will be active from 9 am on 14 March 2011 to 7 pm on 22 April 2011. The Institute will use CAT-2010 for short-listing candidates for its full-time MBA programme. The IIM’s have no role in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Nirma University is a statutory university established under the Gujarat State Act and recognized under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act. which is a leading Institute offering multi-disciplinary Undergarduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D programmes having many nationals awards at it credit.

The Institute invites applications from the candidates who have passed 12th Science Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with the percentage of mark as to be decided by the Government of Gujarat under the rules of admission and, appeared in AIEEE 2011 for admission to B.Tech Programmes. The seats will be filled-in as per the following details:

75% seats shall be filled in by the candidates who have passed 12th Science Examination from the schools located in Gujarat State on the basis of merit considering equal weight age of marks obtained in AIEEE 2011 and the marks obtained in the theory of Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.

25% seats shall be filled in by the candidates who have passed 12th Science Examination with above mentioned subjects from the schools located in India (includng Gujarat State) on the basis of All India Rank of AIEEE 2011.
