Candidates who have already passed HSc or an equivalent qualifying examination and those who have appeared in such qualifying examination during March/April 2012 are also eligible for admission. Candidates of other states are eligible for admission, only for seats in selected courses of Govt, colleges through CENTAC. Age Limit: For MBBS / BDS / BPT the candidates should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31 st December 2012 For B.Sc.(Nursing) and Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery programmes should have completed 17 years of Age and should not over 30 years and for SC/ST: 35 Years of Age as on 31.12.2012. No request for relaxation of the age will be entertained.

Candidates who wish to apply for MBBS/BDS/BPT/B.Sc. Nursing will have to appear compulsorily for the common Entrance Examinations, Conducted by the University which is to be held on 11th May 2012. Others need not apply for these programmes_
05. M.P.T. Degree Programme

Eligibility: Candidates seeking admission into MPT Degree Programme must have acquired the B.P.T. Degree of Annamalai University (or) a Degree of any other University recognised as equivalent thereto by this University.


06. M.Sc. (Nursing) Degree Programme Eligibility:
[it Candidates seeking admission into M.Sc. (Nursing) Degree Programme must have passed B.Sc. (Nursing) / B.Sc. (Hons. Nursing) / Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) with minimum of 55% aggregate marks, (for SC/ST candidates minimum of 50% of marks □f aggregate marks).

Admission to Bachelor degree courses 2011-2012
BPT, BOT, BPO Admissions 2011-2012

Applications are invited on prescribed forms for admission to the 1st year of following courses for the academic session 2011-2012.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) - 4 ½ years
Bachelor of Occupational therapy(BOT) - 4 ½ years
Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO) - 4 ½ years

Eligibility
SSC Examination of CBSE or equivalent (10+2) with 50% or more marks for general category and 45% for SC/ST/PH and CWAPP category in the aggregate of four subjects viz. PCBE for BPT/BOT and PCBE/PCME for BPO, provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately.

The candidates appearing/appeared in the 10+2 examination may also apply. However, it is subjected to their clearance of qualifying examination with required percentage of marks before declaration of result of entrance test.

The candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination before the year 2008-2009 and have discontinued their regular studies for more than 3 years are not eligible to appear in the entrance test.

Age as on 01.08.2011 Minimum 17 years of age and Maximum of 23 years of age for General Category, 28 years of age in case of SC/ST/PH category

Cost of Prospectus and application form: Prospectus will be available at following costs.

For General:
By Hand: Rs. 500/-
By Post: Rs. 550/-

For SC/ST:
By Hand: Rs. 250/-
By Post: Rs. 300/-

The Prospectus cum Application form can be obtained by depositing a pay order/demand draft drawn in favour of “Director, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute for the Physically Handicapped” payable at New Delhi. Prospectus will also be available by depositing cash on sale counter in Accounts Section of Institute between 10.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. on all working days.

Eligibility
1. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT):
10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE), provided the candidate pass each subject separately.

2. Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT):
10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE), provided the candidate pass each subject separately.

3. Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO)
10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics & English (PCBE/PCME), provided the candidate pass each subject separately.



Eligibility Qualifications:
