Applications are invited by Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Punjagutta, Hyderabad from eligible candidates of Andhra Pradesh for admission into following courses for 2014-15.

II.  Bachelor of Physiotherapy

III. Bachelor of Science (Nursing)

Application Procedure:

Please note that all the columns in the application form require to be filled in.

The filled in application form will have to be printed, signed and sent to Associate Dean, Aptitude Testing, 2nd floor, Old OPD Block, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Punjagutta, Hyderabad 500 082 on or before 5.00 pm of 16‐07‐2014 along with all the documents mentioned below. Enclose demand draft drawn in favour of the Director, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences or NIMS cash receipt dated between 03‐07‐2014 to 16‐07‐2014 will have to be submitted simultaneously along with the filled‐in application. The candidate must write his/her name and the course applied for on the back side of the Bank Draft / NIMS cash receipt.

Fee:

Master in Hospital Management: Rs.1,100/‐ (Rupees one thousand and one hundred only)

Bachelor of Physiotherapy: Rs.700/‐ (Rupees seven hundred only)

Bachelor of Science (Nursing): Rs.700/‐ (Rupees seven hundred only)

1. Original bank demand draft / NIMS Cash Receipt (Please write the name of the candidate and course applied for on the back side of draft / receipt)

2. Attested true copy of Marks Memos of Degree

3. Attested true copy of Provisional / final degree certificate

4. Attested true copy of Transfer certificate / Migration certificate of degree

5. Attested true copy of study and conduct certificate for 7years (9th class to Degree) immediately preceding the qualifying exam from the Head of Institutions.

6. Attested copy of Residence certificate of Parent or Candidate for proof of residence in Telangana / AP for ten (10) years issued by MRO / Tahsildar, where applicable, as per format prescribed in GOP 646 dated 10 July 1979 (applicable for candidates who have not studied in any institution during the whole or any part of seven consecutive academic years in Telangana / Andhra Pradesh immediately preceding the qualifying examination).

7. Attested true copy of Social Status Certificate as applicable (Candidates belongs to BC‐E category and claiming against reservation seat, please note that the certificate issued by the MRO/Tahsildar should be dated on or after 7th July 2007)

8. Attested true copy of X class marks memo / Proof of date of birth

9. Service certificate and NOC from the appointing authority in original (in case of in-service candidates)

10. Attested true copy of Differently‐abled (Physically Handicapped) certificate where applicable. In case of temporarily disabled persons, the PH certificate should be issued, within 3 months prior to presenting his/her application for seeking admission by claiming the benefit of reservation, by the Medical Board vide G.O. Ms. No. 109 Women’s Development Child Welfare and Labour Department dated 15‐6‐1992.

Eligibility:

a) Candidates who have passed (MD/MS/DNB) examination from Medical Colleges recognized by MCI or its statutory equivalent are eligible. Candidates who will be completing training period on or before 30/06/2014 are also eligible to apply, provided the candidates submit

1. a certificate issued by the Principal / Dean of college regarding the likely date of completion of the course and acquiring the eligible qualification and

2. a declaration by the candidate, failing which their applications will be rejected.

b) No condonation of training period shall be accepted unless approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) along with submission of necessary proof. The condonation of training period shall be restricted to the period ending on 30‐06‐2014 and not beyond. The condonation certificate must be submitted along with the application form.

c) The candidates who have already registered for any regular course at NIMS and would like to apply for admission to another course shall resign from such Training / course in the Institute duly fulfilling the conditions of the bond and failure to do so may render their application liable for rejection.

The Application form duly filled in and with all necessary documents and the DD/NIMS cash receipt shall be submitted in person or sent by post to the Associate Dean, Aptitude Testing, 1st floor, Millenium Block, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Punjagutta, Hyderabad -500 082, Andhra Pradesh on or before 5.00 PM on 03‐05‐2014.

Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad has invited applications for admission to following courses of Year 2011:

Master of Physiotherapy Course:

Speciality:
MPT - Musculoskeletal Sciences
MPT - Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Sciences
MPT - Neurosciences

Eligibility:
Candidates who have passed BPT examination from recognized College and completed/shall be completing 6 months internship by 30-09-2011 are eligible.
The qualifying marks to be eligible for admission is 50%. In the case of SC, ST candidates the minimum qualifying marks at the entrance test shall be 40%.

Prior qualification required:
1. Candidate holding a Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized University in India or a Foreign University with at least 10 + 2 + 4 years of educational pattern and a minimum of 6 months internship.
2. However, since 4 years course and 6 months Internship did not exist before 1998, candidates who have qualified and completed the internship before 31 December 1998 shall be eligible for this course if they have at least 10 + 2 + 3 years of educational pattern and 6 months of internship. Deadline for completion of internship is 30th September, 2011.

Age
The minimum age for admission shall be 22 years completed as on 31.12.2011 and should not be more than 35 years as on 31.12.2011. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years in the case of SC and ST candidates. For in-service (NIMS) candidates the age limit is not applicable.

MSc (Nursing) Course:

Speciality:
1. Child Health (Pediatric) Nursing
2. Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing
3. Community Health Nursing

Eligibility:
i. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
ii. The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: BSc Nursing / BSc Hons. Nursing / Post Basic BSc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
iii. The candidate should have undergone in BSc Nursing / BSc Hons. Nursing / Post Basic BSc Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
iv. Minimum one year of work experience after basic BSc Nursing
v. Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic BSc Nursing
vi. Candidate shall be medically fit
vii. 5% relaxation of marks for SC / ST candidates
vi. Statutory

Prior qualification required:
Candidate passing of BSc Nursing / BSc Hons. Nursing / Post Basic BSc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks and should have undergone in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council AND Minimum one year work experience in Govt. / Private hospital

Age
The candidates who have not completed 45 years as on 31.12.2011 are eligible to apply. The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years in case of SC & ST candidates.

Applications are invited by Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Punjagutta, Hyderabad from the eligible candidates of Andhra Pradesh for admission into Bachelor of Science (Nursing) and Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) Courses for the year 2011.

Eligibility:
BSc (Nursing) (for women only: A pass in intermediate (10+2) course with Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry and English or vocational nursing with Bridge course of Biological and Physical Sciences or equivalent. The candidate should have secured not less than 45% of marks on the average in the subjects of Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry and English taken together.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy course (BPT): Intermediate examination or its equivalent with optional subjects of Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry OR Vocational Physiotherapy with bridge course of biological and physical sciences

Age: The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years completed and should not be more than 25 years as on 31st December, 2011. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years in the case of SC & ST Candidates.
