(b) The candidates who are appearing for final degree examinations of 2011 are also eligible to appear for entrance examination.
(c) Candidates with at least 50% Marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree or in the Master’s Degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme. However the candidates belonging to all other reserved categories should have secured 40% marks in the qualifiying examination.
(d) The qualifying mark in the Entrance Test for all candiadates is 37 out of total marks 150 (i.e 25%). For the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities there will be no qualifying marks for ranking.
(e) The candidates should have completed 19 years of age on 01-07-2011.

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Sc. Nursing degree course (basic) should fulfill the following criteria:-
1. Should have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination/ Higher Secondary Examination/Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Examination after a period of twelve (12) years of study.

2. For Post Graduates: Candidates having done postgraduation degree with a minimum of 50 % marks in

aggregate from a recognized university and having studied any one of the following:

Notes: 1. Compartment case(s) of 2011 ie current year will not be considered for admission for the academic session 2011-10. It is further clarified that:

(a) Compartment cases of 2011, who have appeared for supplementary examination and the result of the same is not declared by the time of counseling/admission, such candidates will not be considered for admission for the academic session 2011-12.

(b) In case the result of the supplementary examinations is declared by the time of admission/counseling and the candidate fulfills the eligibility conditions as mentioned above, then such candidates would be eligible for the admission for the academic session 2011-12.

2. The Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply provided:

(a) That they are able to produce the proof of having acquired minimum prescribed qualifications at the time of counseling/admission.

OR

(b) If the total result of qualifying examination is not declared by the concerned Board/University till the date of counseling/admission, his/her admission in that case will be provisional subject to the following conditions:

(i) Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs 10/- in the prescribed Proforma (please see Appendix 3). Further, in case the candidate is minor i.e. below 18 years of age; in that case, the affidavit shall be signed by his/her parent/guardian. Candidates/parents/guardians may furthur note that submission of false affidavit is a punishable offence; (ii) The candidate will have to submit the result of qualifying examination proving his/her eligibility on or before 15.11.2011 in the Academic Branch, Room No.108, Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110403. Concerned Dean/Principal/Director where the admission has been granted must also be informed; (iii) In case the candidate fails to submit his/her final result of qualifying examination in the manner as prescribed under above to prove his/her eligibility whatsoever the reason may be, his/her admission will be treated as null and void and the entire fee will be forfeited and under no circumstances he/she will be allowed to appear in the End Term Exam.

(c) It is further clarified that provisional admission will be considered only in such cases where the result of the qualifying examination has not been declared by the concerned Board/University in its totality. In case the result has been declared by the concerned Board/University but it has not been declared in a specific case, for any reason, such cases will NOT be considered under provisional admission category.

(d) Provisionally admitted candidates will have a suffix® to the enrollment number printed on their admission slip. Provisionally admitted candidates are advised to check it on receipt of Admission Slip in addition to the other details.

3. Aggregate of 50% marks in the 12th class for the purpose of eligibility will be taken as the aggregate of best four subjects including one language and compulsory subject(s).

4. There will be no rounding-off of percentage of marks of qualifying examination while deciding the basic

eligibility of any candidate for admission.

(b) For sponsored seats, Merit list will be prepared on the following basis:-

(i) Percentage of Marks secured in the qualifying examination, calculated on a hundred point scale;

ELIGIBILITY:
(I) For admission to first year of B. Tech./B. Pharm., candidate must have clearly passed without grace, intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University; securing minimum 40% marks (35% for SC/ST category candidates) in total of required subject combination of two compulsory subjects and one optional subject.
(II) For admission to first year of BHMCT/BFAD, candidate must have clearly passed with out grace, intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University securing minimum 40% (35% for SC/ST category candidates) marks in aggregate.
(III) For admission to first year of B. Arch., a candidate must have clearly passed with out grace, intermediate examination of U. P. (IV) A candidate possessing three years Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central/State Govt., is also eligible for admission to first year of B. Arch. only, provided the candidate has passed the Diploma examination securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate,. Such candidates will have to appear in the entrance examination for first year of B. Arch. Paper 4.
(V) For admission to first year of MBA in any institution affiliated to GBTU, Lucknow and MTU, Noida a candidate must have passed Bachelors degree course of three years or more duration from any recognized Indian University; or its equivalent recognized by A.I.U. securing minimum 40% (35% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.
(VI) For admission to first year of MCA in any institution affiliated to GBTU, Lucknow and MTU, Noida a candidate must have passed Bachelors degree course of three years or more duration from any recognized University; or its equivalent, securing minimum 40% (35% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate. In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Schedules Tribes and Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination can be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. As per MCI & DCI guidelines candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. For SC / ST and OBC candidates the limit is minimum of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test.
Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 year and the upper age limit is 25 year as on 31.12.2010. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of SC and ST.

c) B. Pharm
Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2010) with Physics and Chemistry along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology. OR Pass or appearing (in the year 2010) at the final year of Diploma programme in Pharmacy.

d) BHMCT
Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2010) in any discipline.

e) B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic)

Candidates with M.Sc. (Electronics) are eligible for M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering and M.Tech. in Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to submit the filled up form.

Pass or appearing (in the year 2010) at three year Bachelor Degree in any discipline from any recognised University having Mathematics at 10+2 level or at +3 level.

c) MBA/MHTM/MHA

Admission to 85 % seats which are reserved under General Category will be made on the basis of inter-se-merit of the candidates at PIMS-AICET- UG 2011.

Applicant must be an Indian National, born on or before 31st December 1994 and must have passed any of the qualifying examinations listed below.

(i) The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English as a core course

(ii) The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Bio-technology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as compulsory subject

(iii) The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical test in these subjects and also English as compulsory subject

(iv) The first year of the three years degree course of a University recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects, provided the examination is a University Examination and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English

(v) B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that he/ she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English

(vi)Any other examination which in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English. For such qualification, the candidates are required to obtain equivalence certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi).

Courses & Eligibility:
1. Diploma in Population Studies (DPS) Course (Distance Learning): A graduate degree or equivalent from recognized Indian/Foreign universities.
2. Master of Arts/Science in Population Studies (M.A./M.Sc.): Bachelor's degree from recognized universities in India or abroad. Preference for Graduates in Math/Stat/Eco or any social science subject.
3. Master of Population Studies: Master's degree from recognized universities with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade in Math/ Stat/Eco or any Social Science subject.
4. Master of Population Studies: Master's degree in any social science subject/ Health/Math/Stat or allied subjects from recognized Indian/Foreign universities.
5. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Population Studies: Candidates having M.Phil or Master's degree in Population Studies of a recognised university with atleast 55% of marks.

The minimum requirements for the admission to the aforesaid programmes are as follows:
1. IRTDM Course: 10+2 with science or Vocational Agriculture/ Horticulture from any recognised board with at least 50% marks both in 10th and 10+2. Students appearing for 12th Standard Examination may also apply with at least 50% marks both in 10th and 11th Standards.
2. ABBT Course - Graduation in Bioscience/Biotechnology/ Agricultural Sciences from any recognised University with at least 50% marks. Students appearing for BSc final Examination may also apply with at least 50% marks in aggregate in Part-I and Part-II.
(5% relaxation in percentage of marks for SC/ST candidates)

ELIGIBILITY:
A. Minimum Educational Qualifications for Ph.D:
(i) Ph.D. in Engineering:
a) Candidates with a Master's degree in Engineering/Technology with a good academic record or a Master's degree by Research in Engineering/Technology with a good academic record.
b) Candidates with Master's degree in Sciences with a good academic record and of exceptional merit where eligible, for the relevant Engineering discipline and with a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or equivalent qualification in the relevant area tenable for the year of registration. In the case of candidates with more than 5 years relevant experience after the Master's degree, the requirement of a test score may be waived by the Selection Committee.
c) Candidates who have qualified for the award of Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology with exceptionally good academic record in an eligible discipline will be considered for direct admission to Ph.D. Programme as a regular full time scholar subject to the following conditions:
# a B.Tech degree holder of an IIT with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10 point scale or with a valid GATE score.
# a Bachelor's degree holder in Engineering/Technology from any other University should be among the top 10 rank holders in the University and having a valid GATE score.
# a Bachelor's degree holder in Engineering/Technology from a reputed R & D organisation and having a proven research record.

(ii) Ph.D. in Sciences:
1. Master's degree in Sciences with a good academic record and having a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or equivalent qualification tenable for the current year in the relevant area.
2. Master's degree in Engineering/Technology are eligible with a good academic record.
3. B.Tech degree holder of an IIT are eligible with a minimum of CGPA of 8.0 on a 10.0 point scale or with a valid GATE Score.
4. B.Tech / B.E degree of any recognized University in India with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10.0 point scale or equivalent with valid GATE score.
5. Students who get more than 8.0 CGPA in M.Sc. in Science Departments of IIT Madras can be admitted directly to their Ph.D programme in Sciences with interview at departmental level; sanction of HTRA to these candidates is subject to the clearance of MHRD.

(iii) Ph.D. in Humanities and Social Sciences:
Master's degree in an eligible discipline with a good academic record or equivalent and having a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or equivalent qualification tenable for the current year in the relevant area.

(iv) Ph.D in Management:
Masters degree or equivalent PG Diploma or Associateship in a relevant discipline, and a Bachelor's degree with a good academic record OR Five year integrated masters degree / dual degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline with a good academic record AND
Qualifying in national level examinations such as JMET / CAT / XAT / MAT / ATMA / GATE /UGC or CSIR / NET / JRF or Lectureship or equivalent or international level post graduate admission examination such as GMAT / GRE or equivalent. OR At least 5 years of managerial experience in lieu of the above examination. (This clause is only for Non HTRA candidates)
Master's degree in Engineering / Technology with a good academic record or a Master's degree by Research in Engineering / Technology in a relevant discipline are exempted from qualifying in National level examinations.

B. Minimum Educational Qualifications for M.S:
(i) M.S. in Engineering :
a) Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology with valid GATE score or a Master's degree in appropriate Sciences Management/Humanities and Social Sciences where eligible with a good academic record and a valid GATE score or CSIR/UGC NET/NBHM/JMET/CAT/AIMA or equivalent qualification tenable for the current year in the relevant areas.
b) Candidates having Associate Membership of the following professional bodies will also be eligible for admission to the M.S. programme of their parent discipline provided they have a valid GATE score and have passed both part A and part B of the Membership examinations with a good academic record.
The Institution of Engineers (India) (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communications), the Aeronautical society of India, the Indian Institute of Metals, the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and other professional bodies approved by the Senate from time to time.
c) Candidates having qualified in MFT (Major Field Test) will also be eligible for admission to the M.S. programme if the concerned department opt for it.

(ii) M.S. in Entrepreneurship/Management:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in any professional discipline of minimum four years duration or Masters degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with a good academic record, AND A good score or pass in:
a) national level post graduate admission qualifying examinations such as JMET/CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/GATE/ UGC or CSIR NET JRF or Lectureship or equivalent, or
b) International level post graduate admission qualifying examination such as GMAT/GRE or equivalent
c) at least 3 years of managerial experience in lieu of the qualifying test. (This clause is only for non HTRA candidates)
Candidates having qualified in MFT (Major Field Test) will also be eligible for admission to the M.S. programme if the concerned department opt for it.
