Educational Qualifications:
The candidates should have passed / appeared in MD / MS (Allopathy) examination in the concerned subject as mentioned below or equivalent degree(s) duly recognized by the Medical Council of India and registered with the Central or State Medical Council:

ABOUT THE COURSES:
The courses are modular type of 52 and 26 weeks duration covering the complete syllabus as per the provision of mandatory training under CEA 2010 Regulations for O&M of Thermal Power Station and Transmission & Distribution System.

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN?
The main aim of the courses is to develop a pool of technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the O&M of Thermal Power Stations and Transmission & Distribution areas of Indian Thermal Power Stations and Transmission & Distribution areas of Indian Power Sector. ELIGIBILITY:

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) invites applications for its Ph.D. programme in Basic Sciences under the aegis of HBNI

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is a premier Institution for Research & Development (R&D). The Centre has been in the forefront of research in Physical. Chemical and Life Sciences. Several of its state-of-the-art laboratories and research facilities are unique to it.
BARC offers a Ph.D. programme in Basic Sciences under the aegis of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a Deemed to be University. The Ph.D. programme at BARC consists of one year of course work followed by research work leading to a doctoral degree. A minimum performance in the prescribed course work, corresponding to cumulative marks of 60% and not less than 50% marks in any individual subject is one of the prerequisites for award of a Ph.D. degree.

Selection Process :
Selection for the Ph.D. programme is a two-step process: Screening shall be on the basis of the rank obtained / marks scored in the UGC-CSIR-JRF-NET. In addition, the NET conducted by DBT, ICAR or ICMR will also be considered for Life Sciences.
Short-listed candidates shall be called for interview to be conducted in July, 2015 at the BARC Training School. Anushaktinagar, Mumbai - 400 094. Applicants called for interview will be paid bus/ sleeper class train fare.

Eligibility
a. Qualifying Degree and other academic qualifications:
Those having M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Biology or related science subjects with minimum 60%* marks in MSc as well as in BSc are eligible to apply.
*A minimum of 60% marks means the marks as per the ordinances of the respective university.
Applicants in the Physical Sciences should have a MSc in Physics with Mathematics up to BSc or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of five years integrated MSc.

Applicants in the Chemical Sciences should have a MSc in Chemistry with Mathematics up to XII std and Physics up to BSc or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of five years integrated MSc.

Applicants in the Life Sciences should have MSc in any one out of Agriculture, Biochemistry, Microbiology. Molecular Biology. Biotechnology, Genetics. Botany. Zoology. Plant Science. Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Entomology. Food Technology, Animal Science. Life Sciences and Biosciences with Physics or Chemistry or Biochemistry or Agriculture Chemistry up to BSc or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of five year integrated MSc.

Those whose final results of qualifying degree are awaited can also apply. In the event of selection, mark sheet of final result confirming eligibility as above, should be submitted by November 30, 2015.

c. Fellowship for undertaking Ph. D. Programme :
Candidates should have a valid fellowship for undertaking Ph. D. work at BARC, available through the NET examinations conducted by UGC-CSIR, DBT, ICAR or ICMR for pursuing the Ph. D. work.

How to Apply: Make two copies of the accompanying application form, affix a passport size photo on each and mail to: BARC-Ph.D. Programme in Basic Sciences-2015, DEO, Recruitment-IV, Training School Complex, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai - 400 094.

The last date for receiving application is June 1, 2015.

The list of candidates short-listed for interview will be displayed on internet (www.hbni.ac.in) and the short-listed candidates will be sent interview call letters/email by June 15, 2015. However, even if you do not receive interview call letter, you can come for the interview with a print out of the list of short-listed candidates if your name figures in it, with a copy of the application and proof of mailing it.

Admission Opens for 8th Batch Master of Public Health (MPH) 2015


Applications are invited from eligible candidates to the Entrance Examination for admission to 8th Batch MPH Degree Course of two year duration at AIPH for the academic year 2015-16. Candidates seeking admissions to the course should have passed/appeared the qualifying examination at the time of submitting applications. The minimum qualification for admission to the course is a Second Class Bachelor Degree, with not less than 50% marks.

Admission to MPH program shall be based on criteria decided by the MPH Management Committee of Asian Institute of Public Health. A student shall be eligible to apply for admission to MPH course if he/she has completed a 3 years bachelor’s degree. Graduates with post graduate degree/diploma in a health related or equivalent discipline after completion of a minimum 3 years bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution/university, graduates with Medical/ Para-medical degree or graduates with work experience in the field of public health will be given preference.
The selection of the eligible candidates for admission to MPH program may be based on a written entrance test and interview as deemed necessary by the MPH Management Committee.

The total fees for the Master of Public Health (MPH) program at Asian Institute of Public Health (AIPH), includes tuition fees of  ` 1,60,000/- ( Rupees one lakh sixty Thousand only) and an one-time admission fees of ` 10,000/- ( Rupees ten thousand only).

Application to the MPH program can be made in following ways:
1) Download the application form and send the completed form along with application fees (Demand Draft of Rs. 750.0) and supporting documents through courier/post.



2) Fill the online application form and pay the application fees (Rs. 750.00) by using your online bank account/debit/credit card. Before filling up the application form Please keep ready your scan copy of photograph (height: 180px, width: 150px) and Scan copy of signature (height: 60px,width: 140px). [This option is not yet active]

Submission of Fees
An application fee of Rs 750.00 is required at the time of application and submission of all transcripts and recommendation letters. The application fee has to be in a form of a demand draft favouring “Asian Institute of Public health” payable at Bhubaneswar.
