The selected fellows will undergo full time four Semester Master of Science (Post Graduate) Course in Science Communication being conducted by the Council in collaboration with the Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani on an off-campus mode. The lecturers and tutorials would be held at National Council of Science Museums, Kolkata

Essential Qualification:

1st Class Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Telecommunication/ Computer/ Metallurgy/ Chemical/ Production Engineering or1st Class M.Sc. degree in Physics/ Chemistry/ Zoology/ Botany/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Science.

Fellowship: Rs. 8000/- per month for two years with contingency grant of Rs. 8000/- per annum. Mere possession of requisite qualifications shall not entitle the candidates to be called for the Test and Interview. Decision of the council in this regard shall be final. Eligibility: The candidate fulfilling eligibility requirements that are specified by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University for admission to a particular PG program from an AICTE approved institution will be considered for admission to the respective programs. A minimum mark is 55% in Bachelors degree or its equivalent (AMIE).

Admission Procedure:

1. Admission will be effected according to merit list prepared on the basis of valid GATE score in the respective branch only.

2. When enough GATE qualified candidates in the respective branch are not available, the vacant seats will be offered to non-GATE candidates as per merit, based on total marks secured out of 100 as indicated below: -

i) Entrance test 70 marks

ii) Interview / viva voce 30 marks

Total Performance  100 marks

3. Candidates securing less than 40 marks out of 100 indicated above shall not be eligible for admission.

Entrance Test: (For non-GATE candidates)

1. A written test shall be conducted for all the non-GATE candidates to fill up the vacant seats, if any , after admitting all GATE qualified candidates.

2. The syllabus for the entrance test shall be as prescribed by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University for the respective qualifying undergraduate programs.

3. The date and time of the entrance test and the admission programs is given in rule 11.0.

4. The candidates having valid GATE score in one branch will not be considered for admission to another branch. However, if a candidate desires that he/she be considered for admission to another branch against vacant seats, he/she will be required to appear for entrance test and interview / viva voce in full. The admission of such a candidate will be effected if he/she is otherwise eligible for admission to that branch. as per University rules.

Distribution of Seats: - The distribution of seats amongst open and BC categories and the procedure to be followed in effecting admission shall be as per rules 1.3 to 1.6.

Stipend / Scholarships: A stipend may be made available from AICTE funds depending upon the financial sanction from AICTE. These scholarships will be offered to the GATE qualified candidates only, strictly on the basis of GATE score MERIT and continue to receive the same, provided they fulfill the conditions as prescribed by AICTE from time to time .

For receiving PG scholarships, a candidate must have qualified in GATE. However, a GATE qualified candidate does not automatically become eligible to receive a scholarship. Stipendiary candidates will have to take 8 hours load of undergraduate programs.

Eligibility: 1. Candidates who possess Bachelors degree in the respective or allied branch of engineering / technology specified by the concerned University for admission to a particular Post Graduate course from an AICTE approved institution with at least 55% marks will be eligible for admission to respective courses.

2. The condition of minimum percentage of marks may be waived for those candidates who are teachers either in Engineering Colleges or in Polytechnics and joined before 20/09/1989 provided they are eligible for admission to that course as per University rules.

3. In addition to above, the candidate will have to fulfill the eligibility requirements prescribed by the University, if any.

4. The candidates must have minimum of 2 years of full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ educational and /or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field to which admission is being sought.

5. If a candidate is employed, he should produce an undertaking from the employer that he will be spared for attending the classes as per prescribed time table and they have no objection for his pursuing the studies.

Admission Procedure:

1. Candidates will be considered for admission on merit based on total marks secured out of 100 as indicated below: -

The eligible interested candidates should submit the filled in application form, along with supporting documents and registration fees in the office of the institute up to 18/07/2009 (Saturday) The registration fees is Rs.500/- (Five Hundred) for GENERAL category and Rs. 300/-(Three Hundred) for SC/ST category students in cash or DD drawn in favor of "The Principal, Government College of Engineering, Amravati" payable at Amravati. 

Separate application forms and registration fees will be required for separate courses and also for Full Time and Part Time courses.

ADMISSIONS 2009-2010

All the three colleges- DPMC&H, DCAST, DCET and DVCE, which are rapidly developing and progressing by leaps and bounds, are the offshoots of Ch. Charan Singh Memorial Educational Society and Maharani Laxmi Bai Memorial Educational Society which are already providing its expertise for more than 20 years in preparing the students professionally. The trust- Ch. Charan Singh Memorial Educational Society is also running two ITI's i.e., Ch. Charan Singh Memorial ITI, Dehra Dun and Doon Public ITI, Dehra Dun.
The societies came into existence to guide un-channelized youths to lead them in a right direction towards their future prospects.
These colleges are affiliated with the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna (H.N.B.) Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal (Uttarakhand). It was on 25th December, 2001 that the Hon'ble Shri Ajit Singh ji, the then Union Minister of Agriculture, inaugurated a new block namely Louis Pasteur in Doon (P.G.) Paramedical College & Hospital and a new building for Doon (P.G.) College of Agriculture Science and Technology in Selakui, Dehra Dun. In December, 2002, a State of Art Biotechnology Laboratory and a new block "Har Govind Khurana Bio-tech Block" were inaugurated by the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of the H.N.B. Garhwal University.

Admission Procedure:                        
All the candidates appearing either for Entrance Examination or Direct admission have to submit duly filled admission form with attested photo copies of testimonials. Original testimonials are to be shown at the time of admission. The reservation of seats are as per the Hon'ble Supreme Court's decision.

The selection of candidates for admission to any course in university seat (50% of the total) and payment seats (35% of the total) is made on the merit list prepared on the basis of the Entrance Test conducted by the college on all India basis as per University orders. 15% seats in all the courses are reserved for NRI/Management/Sponsored candidates. There will be no Entrance Test in this category and Direct Admission procedure is followed. Any seat which remains vacant after expiry of stipulated time given to a candidate on waiting list will automatically revert back to the general category.

The final selection is done after conducting the interview/counseling of the candidate by College Admission Committee.

Note:
Candidate (either sex) applying from Jammu and Kashmir and Nepal, have to submit the original document of their police.
Verification issued by the SSP or District Police Authority.
Fees once deposited will not be refunded in any case.
Registration fee is adjustable at the time of admission            
 
How To Apply: The applications form can be obtained from the college office for Rs.500/- or by sending a DD of Rs.550/- The form can also be downloaded from our wwvv.dprnc.in and send to us with a DD of Rs 550/-. For registration of seat, send Rs 10,000/- with application form. DD should be made in favour of Ch.C.S.M.Edu. Society, Dehradun (Uttarakhand) India.
