Center of Excellence in Space Sciences India, IISER Kolkata (CESSI), Mohanpur, West Bengal has invited applications for Ph.D Studentships of Autumn Batch 2015.

Highly motivated candidates with MS/MSc/MTech degrees with at least 55% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade-point average) in Physical Sciences, or allied disciplines are deemed suitable by the selection committee for PhD research in the space sciences. Final year post-graduate students who are yet to obtain their degree may also apply; however, they must have completed their degree at the time of admissions with the requisite aggregate marks.

Preference will be given to candidates with their own PhD fellowships, such as, UGC/CSIR-NET JRF, INSPIRE or any other equivalent fellowship. Outstanding candidates, who do not have any independent fellowships, may also be selected if deemed suitable by the selection committee; however they should have qualified in at least one of the following exams: GATE, JEST, NET-LS.

College of Engineering Trivandrum is offering MBA programme of University of Kerala since 1985.

Admission to the programme for full time and evening batches is in the months of May-June. Applications for admission to the 2015-17 full time and evening batches are invited.

Eligibility: Educational qualification for admission to the programme is a pass in the degree level examination with 50% marks in aggregate from a university recognized by University of Kerala. For BA, BSc and B.Com students, a pass in the examination with 50% marks in Part III is the eligible qualification. Students appearing for the final year degree examination in 2015 can also apply, however, offer of admission will be subject to satisfying the eligibility criteria.

Applicants for the full-time and evening MBA programmes in the College must have a valid score in CMAT/CAT/MAT, the national level common admission entrance examinations. On the basis of the valid CMAT/ CAT / MAT score, candidates will be called for Group Discussion and interview, which will be held in May 2015. They will be offered final admission on the basis of an index score computed using the admission entrance examination score (80% weightage), performance in GD (10% weightage) and interview (10% weightage).

The candidates for the evening MBA programme must have minimum two years of experience at supervisory level in reputed organisations and must be of 25 years of age as on 1st January 2015.

Classes for the full time and evening batches will start on July 15, 2015.

Number of seats: Full time batch - 120 and evening batch - 30. Two seats of the evening programme are reserved for Government employees.

The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design 2015 (UCEED 2015) will be conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay under the guidance of the UCEED Admissions Committee 2015 on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 09:00 to 12:00 and (if required) from 14:00 to 17:00.

UCEED 2015 will be held in the following 9 cities in India: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.

Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor Degree programme in Design (B. Des.) at IIT Bombay should appear in UCEED 2015.

A candidate, including a foreign national, must fulfill each and every one of the following three criteria to appear in UCEED 2015.

Criterion 1  Age limit: The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1995 if belonging to the GEN or OBC-NCL category and on or after October 1, 1990 if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

Criterion 2 Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt UCEED for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. However, UCEED 2015 being the first UCEED examination, it will be the first attempt for all candidates.

Criterion 3 Class XII (or equivalent) examination: The candidate should have passed their Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2014, OR passed or appeared in 2015.
Those who appeared for the first time in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2013 or earlier are NOT eligible.

The candidates appearing in the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2015 should ensure that: (a) all parts of their final examination are completed by the date of registration in IIT Bombay, and (b) proof of having passed the qualifying certificate with required eligibility, as specified by IIT Bombay, is submitted by September 30, 2015.

o For admission to B. Des. the candidate should have passed in the Class XII (or equivalent) board examination.
o If a Board awards only letter grades without providing information on the passing grade on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying the passing grade and submit it at the time of online acceptance of the allocated seat. In case such a certificate is not provided, the decision taken by the B. Des. Admissions Committee will be final.
