Applications are invited by National Law School of India University, Nagarbhavi, Bangalore-560 242 for admission to the following courses under Distance Education Programme for the Academic year 2015-2016.

1. Two-year Master of Business Laws (M.B.L) Programme

2. One-year Post Graduate Diploma Courses:
a) Human Rights Law (PGDHRL)
b) Medical Law & Ethics (PGDMLE)
c) Environmental Law (PGDEL)
d) Intellectual Property Rights Law (PGDIPRL)
e) Child Rights Law (PGDCRL)
f) Consumer Law & Practice (PGDCLP)
g) Cyber Law & Cyber Forensics (PGDCLCF)

Graduate of any discipline from a recognised University is eligible to apply. There is no restriction as to the age.

Applications have been invited by National Law School of India University, Nagarbhavi, Bangalore for admission to two year residential Master of Public Policy course commencing in July 2015.

Course Participants:
The participants of this two-year Master's Programme could be those who have completed a graduation course (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10 + 2 +5) in Social Sciences (anthropology, commerce, cultural studies, development studies, economics, education, fine arts, international relations, psychology, political science, sociology, women studies), Humanities (cultural studies, history, law, literature, mathematics, media studies, philosophy, public administration, theology, statistics), Professional courses (archaeology, environmental science, management, health care, urban planning, rural development/management, social work), Science (natural sciences, agricultural science, engineering, medicine, pharmacology),  or similar interdisciplinary degrees from an Indian university or equivalent degree from a foreign university.  The course is also open to people preparing for a career in civil services, politics and governance, social activists and opinion makers, planners and service providers, lawyers and judges who want to serve in Family Courts, Labour Courts, Juvenile Courts, Lokayukta and so on, who fulfill the above criteria.  The course is also opened to officers on deputation from public sector and government agencies.

Annexures Required for Application:
Copies of the following as applicable are to be submitted along with application with clearly marking annexure numbers and noting the same in the application in the respective columns. All the copies of the certificates should be self-attested.
1) Certificates for 10th standard Board examination, 12th examination, and degrees.
2) Experience certificates for the periods of employment.
3) Duly certified copies to qualify for the reservation for SC/ST/PwD categories.
4) Curriculum Vitae (of maximum two pages) that demonstrates the achievements of the candidate that is not captured in the application format.

M.Phil, Ph.D, LL.D Admission Notice 2014

Applications are invited for admission to the following Research Degree Programmes at NLSIU, Bangalore:
1. M.Phil One Year Programme
2. Ph.D. (in Law) Three Years Programme
3. Ph.D. (inter-disciplinary) Three Years Programme
4. LL.D. Three Years Programme

ELIGIBILITY:
M.Phil Degree Programme:
The Candidate shall have an LL.M. Degree from recognized University securing „B+‟ grade or an aggregate of 55% marks or its equivalent.

LL.D Degree Programme:
Ph.D. in Law from a recognised University with minimum 10 years of Teaching and exceptional academic achievement in the field of law.
Or
Ph.D. in any discipline obtained through regular mode from any recognized University in India or abroad with relevant experience / expertise in the field. However, such research proposal from such candidates shall be inter or multidisciplinary in nature, thus substantially contributing to the existing legal knowledge / jurisprudence in any branch of law”.

Ph.D. Degree (Law):
The Candidate shall have an LL.M. Degree from recognized University securing „B+‟ grade or an aggregate of 55% marks or its equivalent.
Ph.D. Degree (Inter-disciplinary)
a) The candidate having a Master‟s Degree in any discipline through regular stream with a minimum of 55% or equivalent grade and a Bachelor‟s Degree in Law from a recognized University through regular stream shall be eligible for admission;
b) The candidate having passed the Company Secretaryship examination conducted by the ICS in India and been awarded Associate Membership of the Institute (ACS) and having a Bachelor‟s Degree in Law from a recognized University through regular stream shall be eligible for admission;
c) The candidate having passed the Chartered Accountants examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants and been awarded Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and having a Bachelor‟s Degree in Law from a recognized University through regular stream shall be eligible for admission.
d) MBL Degree from NLSIU with CGPA of 4.00 & above.

The filled in application form along with a DD of Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees two thousand only) drawn in favour of Registrar, NLSIU and payable at Bangalore, along with the Research Proposal (as detailed in the Regulations) and other necessary enclosures to the Registrar, NLSIU, Nagarbhavi, P.B.No:7201, Bangalore-560072 on or before 31st July, 2014.

Date of Admission Test: 16.08.2014
Presentation of Research Proposal before the Panel of Experts by candidates successful in Admission test: 29th & 30th Sept. 2014
Last date for payment of Registration Fee by candidates admitted to the Research Degree programmes: 06.10.2014
Date of commencement of the Course work by candidates admitted to the Research Degree Programmes: 16.10.2014
