ELIGIBILITY:

Eligibility: Any candidate who is a Citizen of India with the following Academic Qualification can apply: Pass in Higher Secondary Examination (10 + 2) of Tamil Nadu with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually or an equivalent examination with
(a) A minimum of 50% aggregate marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes are however eligible if they have 40% aggregate marks taken together in the Physics, Chemistry and Biology and have passed the examination in those subjects as well as in English.


03. B.P.T. Degree programme
Eligibility: A pass in H.Sc. (Academic) with (Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany/Zoology) and English Examination or equivalent examinations accepted bytheAnnamalai University.

04. B.Sc.(Nursing) Degree/ 07. Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery Programme Eligibility: H.Sc. Exams (12 yrs. course) (or) Senior School Certificate exams. (10 + 2) Pre-degree exams. (10 + 2) (or) any equivalent with 12 yrs. schooling from a recognised Board or University with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE). For SC/ST: 40% of aggregate marks in PCBE. Unmarried Female Candidates only are Eligible.

Age Limit: For MBBS / BDS / BPT the candidates should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31 st December 2012 For B.Sc.(Nursing) and Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery programmes should have completed 17 years of Age and should not over 30 years and for SC/ST: 35 Years of Age as on 31.12.2012. No request for relaxation of the age will be entertained.

Candidates who wish to apply for MBBS/BDS/BPT/B.Sc. Nursing will have to appear compulsorily for the common Entrance Examinations, Conducted by the University which is to be held on 11th May 2012. Others need not apply for these programmes_
05. M.P.T. Degree Programme

Eligibility: Candidates seeking admission into MPT Degree Programme must have acquired the B.P.T. Degree of Annamalai University (or) a Degree of any other University recognised as equivalent thereto by this University.


06. M.Sc. (Nursing) Degree Programme Eligibility:
[it Candidates seeking admission into M.Sc. (Nursing) Degree Programme must have passed B.Sc. (Nursing) / B.Sc. (Hons. Nursing) / Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) with minimum of 55% aggregate marks, (for SC/ST candidates minimum of 50% of marks □f aggregate marks).
(ii) Candidate should have undergone B.Sc. (Nursing) / B.Sc. (Hons. Nursing) / Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) in an institution which is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council.
(iii) Minimum 1 year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. (Nursing).
(iv) Minimum 1 year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc.(Nursing).
(v) Candidates shall be Medically fit.


08. & 09. Certificate Programmes in Dental Mechanics/ Dental Hygienists Eligibility: A pass in Xth Std. with an aggregate of 50% marks along with pass in English language or an equivalent recognised qualification.

Age Limit: The candidates should have completed the age of 15 years as on 31 st December 2012.

How to Apply: Application form and Prospectus can be obtained from THE REGISTRAR, ANNAMALAI UNIVERSITY, ANNAMALAINAGAR - 608 002 from the date scheduled above on payment of prescribed fee noted above in person or by sending a Demand Draft obtained on or after 01.04.2012 drawn in favour of THE REGISTRAR, ANNAMALAI UNIVERSITY, ANNAMALAINAGAR from ANY BANK, payable at CHENNAI along with self addressed stamped Thick Kraft envelope of size 30 cm x 24 cm (stamps affixed to the value of Rs. 30/-) with the name of the Programme for which the application is required should be superscribed boldly on the envelope. The Name of the Programme should be clearly indicated in the requisition letter. The Name and Address of the Candidate and Programme for which the application is made should be clearly indicated on the back side of the Demand Draft also.
