Short-Tearm Training Programme 2012


Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore has invited applications for admission to short term training programme in "Post-harvest handling and storage of fresh fruits and vegetables for commercial trade" scheduled from Mar 26 - 30, 2012.

The training programme would focus on:
 Pre-harvest treatments influencing post-harvest quality
 Post-harvest treatments influencing post- harvest quality
 Storage conditions for extension of storage life
 Ripening and delay in ripening
 Microbiological quality
 Packaging specifications
 Export potentials

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Knowledge of the subject under focus, preferably a basic degree. The medium of presentation and interaction is English.

TRAINING CHARGES PER PARTICIPANT:
Rs. 7,250/- (Inclusive of Food & Accomodation)
Training charges may be paid in the form of DD favouring "Director, CFTRI, Mysore"

M.Sc. Food Technology Admission 2011

Central Food Technological Research Institute invites applications for admission to 2 Years M.Sc. Food Technology Degree Course of the University of Mysore for the years 2011 – 2013.

CFTRI Eligibility 2011 :
1.Bachelor Degree in Science with Chemistry / Biochemistry as one of the subjects or Agriculture / Engineering / Technology.
2.Mathematics as one of the subjects in Plus 2 or Pre – University or at Degree level is compulsory for CFTRI Mysore Admission 2011. Those who have appeared for final year examination and expect to get stipulated marks or class can also apply.
3.Marks / Grades of all the years of qualifying degree examination should reach this office as soon as possible, but not later than July 29, 2011.
Marks Requirement for CFTRI Mysore Admission 2011 :
i.55% in optional subjects of B.Sc. pass course ( 50% for SC / ST category ).
ii.50% for B.Sc. ( Hons. ) course ( 45% for SC / ST category ).
iii.Minimum second class for Agriculture / Engineering / Technology.
CFTRI Entrance / Aptitude Test 2011 :

•Students who meet the eligibility criteria are required to take CFTRI Entrance 2011 / Aptitude Test which will be held at Mysore and New Delhi on 17 July, 2011.
CFTRI Reservation* 2011 : SC / ST and Persons with physical disabilities – Applicable for CFTRI Mysore Admission to MSc Course as per the Government Orders in this regard.

*Candidates claiming reservation under the specific category are to provide attested documents as proof in support of their claims.

1.CFTRI Application Forms has to be downloaded from CFTRI website www.cftri.com and the duly completed application form in all respects may please be sent along with a DD for 500/- drawn in favour of “Director, CFTRI, Mysore” on or before 06 June, 2011 to the following address :

2.Completed CFTRI Applications in all respects are not transferable and the fee is non – refundable. CFTRI Institute shall not be held responsible for any postal delay or otherwise.
3.Applicants may kindly see for eligibility criteria prior to applying, as the Bank Demand Draft of 500/- is non – refundable. Any dispute arising out of the said CFTRI Mysore Admission, the Civil Court, Mysore, only shall have the jurisdiction.
