SRM Engineering Entrance Exam (EEE) -2009
Candidates who have attempted physics, chemistry and mathematics in the SRM EEE are eligible for all the BTech degree programs.
Candidates who have attempted physics, chemistry and biology in the SRM EEE are eligible only for BTech biotechnology, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, bio process engineering, food process engineering and genetic engineering programs.

B.Arch
A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent, having a minimum total aggregate of 60% with English and mathematics as subjects of study and a minimum NATA score of 80 out of 200.
No separate entrance examination will be conducted by SRM University. However, candidates have to apply in the prescribed application form for admission to B.Arch. program.

B.Des
A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent, with a minimum aggregate of 60%.

For BTech Program
Admission will be purely on the basis of the candidate's performance in the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by SRM University
Candidates short-listed based on their performance in the entrance examination will be called for the counseling to be held at the SRM University premises in Kattankulathur, Chennai

For BArch Program
Admission to the B.Arch. program will be based on the aggregate of marks secured in the qualifying examination and the NATA score
The meritorious candidate list will be drawn giving 50% weightage to aggregate of total marks secured in qualifying examination & 50% weightage to NATA score
Based on the ranking, admissions will be offered to the candidate

For BDes Program
Admission to BDes program will be purely on the basis of performance in the Higher Secondary examination. Candidates short listed based on their Higher Secondary marks will be offered admission directly.

3.      Age: 14 years to 25 years as on 01.07.2009. Upper age limit relaxed by 3 years for SC/ST. For Mining/Drilling Engineering the lower age limit is 16 years.
4.      Reservation: Reservation to different categories as per norms specified by Government of Orissa will be applicable for Orissa State candidates only.
5.      Outside State Candidates: Out side State candidates are also eligible to appear the Diploma Entrance Test for admission into 1st Semester of 3 year Diploma Engineering Courses. However a separate merit list will be drawn for outside State candidates, and they will be considered for admission only after entire merit list of Orissa State candidates of all categories is completely exhausted.
6.      Outside State Candidates are not eligible for Lateral admission into 3rd Semester.

1.      Entry Qualification: - Passed in 10+2 Examination from Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa or its equivalent examinations in Arts/Science/Commerce for Admission into Modern Office Management (MOM)/Hotel Management & Catering Technology (HMC&T) in 03 years Diploma Level Courses and passed 10+2 Science Examination from CHSE, Orissa or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics in 2 years Diploma Level Course in Pharmacy.!
2.      Age: 16 years to 25 years as on 01.07.2009. Upper age limit relaxed by 3 years for SC/ST
3.      Reservation: Reservation to different categories as per norms specified by Government of Orissa will be applicable.
4.      Seats remaining vacant in MOM & HMC&T courses after exhausting the entire merit list of Women Candidates shall be filled up by general merit list of Male candidates.

An objective type (MCQ) Combined Pre-Medical Entrance Test (HP-CPMET-2009) for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in Govt Medical/Dental colleges including Private un-aided Dental Colleges (State/Management Quota) in Himachal Pradesh for the academic session 2009-10 will be held on May 27, 2009 (Wednesday) at Shimla, Mandi, Dharamshala and Hamirpur Examination Centres for which the applications on the prescribed form from the eligible candidates are invited as available in the prospectus.

ELIGIBILITY:
For State Quota seats in Govt Medical/Dental Colleges and 50% seats in Private un-aided Dental Colleges:
1.      Children of Bonafide Himachali/Himachal Govt Employees and employees of Autonomous Bodies wholly or partially financed by the Himachal Pradesh Govt, and who have passed atleast two examinations out of four ie Middle, Matric, +1 and +2 or its equivalent from the recognised school(s)/College(s) situated in the State of Himachal Pradesh only are eligible to apply for this test. However, Children of Defence Personnel/Ex-Servicemen/Employees of Central Govt including  UT/other  State  Govts/Employees  of Autonomous" Organisations/Semi-Govt Bodies of Central Govt, and other State Govts, or Children of Himachal Govt. Employees/Employees of wholly owned HP Govt Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies who are Bonafide Himachali and living outside the State of HP on account of their service are exempted from the condition of passing two examinations from the School(s) situated in the State of H.P. and are also eligible for this test.
2.      The Bonafide Himachali students who are admitted to Navodaya School(s) situated in Himachal Pradesh, but passed Matric or +2 examinations under the exchange programme from other Navodaya School(s) in the country are also eligible to apply for this test.

For Management Quota Seats (only in Private un-aided Dental Colleges): Under this quota, there will be no domicile and schooling conditions, both Himachali and non-Himachali interested candidates can compete in the entrance test subject to fulfilment of minimum educational qualification and age as mentioned.

For Children of J&K Migrants: Who possess the minimum qualifying educational qualification and age as given can also compete in this test against the seats reserved for them.

For Children of Tibetan Refugees: Who possess the minimum qualifying educational qualification and age as given and duly sponsored by the Tibetan Govt, in Exile can also compete in this test against the seats reserved for them.

For NRI Candidates: Who are residing abroad and have passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) from abroad are not required to take the entrance test. They must fulfil the minimum educational qualification and age as given, can also apply on the prescribed application form available in the prospectus direct to the Principal(s) of the concerned Medical/Dental College(s).

Age and Educational Qualification:

Age: The candidate should have already completed or should complete the age of 17 years and must not have completed 25 years of age on 31 st December, 2009.

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examinations of a University/Board by law in India with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects which shall include a practical test with 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) provided the candidate has qualified the subject of English as an elective subject in the above examination.

Note: The candidates who have appeared in 10+2 or its equivalent examination and the result has not been declared can also apply for this test, but the admission will be subject to passing of the said examination with the required percentage at the time of 1st round of counseling.

HOW TO APPLY:
Procedure for Obtaining the Prospectus:
University Counter: For prescribed application form and detailed information etc., the prospectus can be obtained at the University Exam Enquiry-cum-Sale Counter, Library Building (Basement), Summer Hill, Shimla-5 from 6.4.2009 to 30.4.2009 during the working days on cash payment of Rs.1, 000/- for General & other categories, Rs.500/- for SC/ST categories only and US Dollars 40 or equivalent in Rupees for NRI candidates.
By Post: The requests for supply of the prospectus by post can only be addressed to the Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests), HP University, Summer Hill, Shimla-171 005, accompanied by crossed IPOs / Bank Draft amounting to Rs.1050/- in case of General and other categories, Rs.550/- for SC/ST categories only and US Dollars 50 or equivalent in Rupees for NRIs, drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, H.P.University, Shimla. No request for sending the said prospectus by post will be entertained after 20.4.2009. While applying for supply of prospectus by post, the candidate must write the "HP-CPMET-2009 Prospectus is required" and complete his/her mailing address in capital letters along with telephone number.

Last Date:
Last date for receipt of application forms complete in all respects either by hand or by Registered/Speed-Post in the office of the Deputy Registrar(Entrance Tests), HP University, Shimla-5, is 30.4.2009 upto 5.00 PM where after no application shall be accepted. The NRI candidates (Foreign Students) shall send their applications complete in ail respects direct to the Principal(s) of the concerned college(s) latest by 1-6-2009.

Note: It will be the entire responsibility of the candidate(s) to procure the prospectus well in time and submit the application form complete In all respects within the stipulated date. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay for non-receipt or in case of mis­placement or loss of prospectus in transit.
