Eligibilty: Candidates with an M Sc., B E, B Tech, M E, M Tech or MBBS are eligible to apply; the specific requirements for each Unit are listed below.  They should have at least 50% in their highest University examination, and should also have qualified in the GATE / UGC - CSIR - NET, JRF / ICMR, JRF / JEST / or any other advanced entrance examination. Candidates with a Master's degree in Engineering/Technology/ Medicine do not require a qualifying exam. However, the M E/ M Tech qualified students need to specify their valid GATE score at the time of applying. (Typically the selected candidates are either CSIR qualified or have GATE/JEST percentile score of 90 or above).

Scholarships/Fellowships/Assistantships: Ph D students receive scholarships of Rs. 12,000-14,000.  (Typically, perhaps 20% of this goes towards paying hostel and mess fees, while the annual tuition fee is Rs. 4,000)  Students are automatically enrolled in a Group Insurance Scheme and a comprehensive medical scheme and have access to an on-campus doctor, as well as to medical facilities elsewhere.

Funding for travel to international conferences is also available; our students have recently attended conferences in countries such as Korea, Iran, France, Singapore, the United States of America, Japan, Sweden, and Italy.

This doctoral  level programme has 10 seats.
           
Three year part-time PG Diploma in Management is also conducting for the experienced executives  working anywhere in the country. 120 seats  are available  for this  programme.

The Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University, has notified the admission to M.L. Degree [Semester-CBCS] Course, P.G. Diploma [Evening] Course and Distance Education Courses for 2009-10.

For Admission to M.L. Degree, the eligibility is a pass in B.L. Degree 3/5 year examinations with 45% marks in aggregate under new regulations or with 40% marks under old regulations, wherever applicable.

The cost of the application form shall be paid by way of 'Demand Draft' obtained from any Nationalised Bank in favour of 'The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University, payable at Chennai.  In respect of Distance Education courses, the Demand Draft is to be drawn in favour of the 'Registrar  A/c (DDE), The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University' payable at Chennai.

Cost of Application Form for ML Degree course is Rs.400/- (Rs 200/- for SC/ST) if obtained in person and Rs. 450/- (Rs.250 for SC/ST) if required by post.

Cost of Application Form for PG Diploma (Evening) Courses and Distance Education Mode is Rs.200/- (Rs 150/- for SC/ST) if obtained in person and Rs. 230/- (Rs.180/- for SC/ST) if obtained by post.

For Certificate Course, it is Rs.150/- (Rs.125/- for SC/ST), if obtained in person and Rs.180/- (Rs.155/- for SC/ST) if required by post.

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali has been established as an autonomous academic institution in 2007 by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India, New Delhi, to carry out research in frontier areas of science and provide quality science education at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Commonwealth Split-Site Doctoral Programme 2010

 

University Grants Commission has invited applications for the award of Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships for the academic year 2010, offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom.

Scholarships are available in all disciplines including Medicine and Dentistry. Applicant should be citizen of India. Applicant should hold by 1st October, 2010, a first Degree of upper Second Class Honours standard (or above) or a Second Class Degree and a relevant Post Graduate qualification which will normally be a Master's Degree and in the fields of Medicine and Dentistry, have qualified between 1st October 2000 and 1st October, 2005. The Scholarship is for 12 months period of study or two six-month periods and will commence in September/October 2001 in UK.
