Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, established by Govt. of NCT Delhi and formerly called the Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, located at Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110006, has invited applications for admission to the various UG/PG/Ph.D Programmes for 2014-15. The UG Programmes include B.Tech Programs in (i) Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) (ii) Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) (iii) Mechanical & Automation Engineering (MAE) and (iv) Information Technology (IT).

M.Tech (Regular) Programmes are offered in (i) Information Security Management (ii) VLSI Design (iii) Mobile and Pervasive Computing and (iv) Robotics and Automation.

M.Tech (Part-time) Programs is offered in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The University also offers Master in Computer Application (MCA) Programme.

Facility for research leading to Ph.D is available in (i) Applied Sciences and Interdisciplinary areas like Nanotechnology and Environmental Sciences (ii) Computer Science and Engineering (iii) Electronics and Communication Engineering (iv) Information Technology (v) Mechanical and Automation Engineering and (vi) Computer Applications.

Admission to MCA programme will be through combined counseling conducted by GGSIP University. Those interested would be required to appear for CET Exam Code 105 conducted by GGS IP University on 27th April, 2014 from 10.30 a.m to 1 p.m.

For M.Tech Regular Programme, admission will be based on merit cum GATE score.
For M .Tech (part-time) Programme, working professionals can apply. For lateral entry to M.Tech (part-time) program those having NIELIT ‘C’ level qualification are eligible.

Admission to Ph.D. Programme will be on the basis of Research Aptitude Test (RAT) or Interview or both. The RAT will be conducted on 15th June 2014 at IGDTUW, Kashmere Gate Campus.

For Admission to B.Tech Programs, applications would be invited from those who will be declared eligible for Central Counseling by the CBSE and placed in the merit / rank list prepared by the CBSE based on the score in JEE (Main)-2014 and normalized score in Class 12 or other qualifying examination. 85% of the total seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Delhi Region (Students passing the qualifying examination from recognized Board/College/Institution located within the NCT of Delhi) and 15% of the total seats for candidates belonging to regions outside Delhi. The admission to B.Tech program will be done through on-line counseling to be notified.

For M.Tech & Ph.D Programmes, applications can be submitted online or using off line (OMR) application.

The information brochure and application form would be on sale at various branches of Punjab & Sind Bank all over Delhi on payment of Rs.750/-.

The last date for submission of application for M.Tech is 31st May, 2014, that for MCA is 10th April, 2014 and that for Ph.D, 15th May, 2014.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
M.Tech./M.Pharm. Programmes
Candidates who possess the requisite qualifications as mentioned in the link: http://www.iitbhu.ac.in/admissions/images/PG_admission/inf_b2014-15.pdf  are eligible for admission to Post-Graduate programmes in the respective departments/ schools of the Institute leading to M.Tech./M.Pharm. degree. The candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% marks / 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) in the qualifying degree. In addition, they should have valid score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for M.Tech. Programmes & Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) for the M.Pharm. Programme.

Ph.D. in Engineering
a) Applicants with master’s degree in engineering in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline/area must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level.
b) Applicants with bachelor’s degree in engineering in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline/area must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level. The applicants should be qualified in GATE for the award of Institute Assistantship.
c) Applicants with master’s degree in science or in an allied discipline/area (where science is an allied discipline/area), must satisfy each of the following criteria:
(i) A minimum of 65% marks or 6.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level,
(ii) A minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level, and
(iii) Qualified in GATE or NET-LS or CSIR/UGC-NET-JRF or DBT-JRF or ICMR-JRF or DST-INSPIRE fellowship.

Ph.D. in Pharmacy
a) Applicants with master’s degree in pharmacy or in an allied discipline/area must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level.
b) Applicants with bachelor’s degree in pharmacy must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level. The applicants should be qualified in GPAT or GATE or NET-LS or CSIR/NET-JRF or DBT-JRF or ICMR-JRF or DSTINSPIRE fellowship.

Ph.D. in Sciences
a) Applicants with master’s degree in science in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline/area must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale at the master’s degree level and qualified in GATE or NET-LS or CSIR/UGC-NET-JRF or DBTJRF or ICMR-JRF or DST-INSPIRE fellowship.
b) Applicants with four year bachelor’s degree in science in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline/area must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level. They should be qualified in GATE or NET-LS or CSIR/UGC-NET-JRF or DBT-JRF or ICMR-JRF.

Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Programmes
a) Ph.D. in Systems Engineering
Applicants with bachelor’s and master’s degree in any branch of Engineering must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level. Applicants with bachelor’s degree in any branch of engineering must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level. The applicants with bachelor’s degree should also be qualified in GATE for the award of Institute Assistantship.
b) Ph.D. in Industrial Management
Applicants with bachelor’s degree in any branch of engineering and master’s degree in any branch of engineering/management must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level.
Applicants with bachelor’s degree in any branch of engineering must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level. The applicants with bachelor’s degree should also be qualified in GATE for the award of Institute Assistantship.
c) Ph.D. in Bio-chemical Engineering/ Bio-medical Engineering/ Materials Science and Technology
Applicants with master’s degree in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level.
Applicants with bachelor’s degree in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline should have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level. The applicants should be qualified in GATE/NET-LS for the award of Institute Assistantship.

Ph.D. in Humanities and Social Sciences (English)
Applicants with master’s degree in arts (English) should have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the master’s degree level. Applicants should be qualified in UGC-NET-LS or UGC-NET-JRF.
Admission to Ph.D. Programme for Candidates having National-level Scholarships There is a provision for admission to Ph.D. programmes for candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria for the respective programmes and also have qualified in any of the national level JRF/SRF tests conducted by UGC, CSIR, Department of Biotechnology, Indian Council of Medical Research or DST-INSPIRE fellowship.

SELECTION CRITERIA
M.Tech./M.Pharm Programme
Shortlisted candidates may be selected for M.Tech,/M.Pharm programmes on the basis of valid GATE/GPAT Scores or a written test or interview or on the basis of any combination of these as declared by the individual department/school in the call letter.

Ph.D. Programme
Shortlisted candidates may be selected for Ph.D programmes on the basis of a written test and interview conducted by the department/school.
However, outstanding candidates, who have acquired their M.Tech./M.Pharm. degrees from the premier institutions such as IITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions may be offered admission directly, provided they have obtained a CPI of 8.0 or above (on a 10.0 point scale). This may be done at the time of short listing itself. The short listing for calling for written test and interview may be done based on the percentage marks/CPI in the qualifying examination. If the results of the qualifying examination are not declared, the marks/CPI obtained by the candidate up to and including the previous semester may be considered for short listing.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR Ph.D COURSES
Medical Qualification:
MBBS with minimum 55% aggregate marks or MD/MS in the subject concerned or Diplomat of National Board of Examination. A “Failure” in the examination, “Compartment” or “Re-appear” in the examination will constitute an attempt Candidates who have obtained MBBS/MD/MS degree from Medical Colleges which are not recognized by the Medical Council of India are not eligible to apply.

Eligibility for Non Medical/Social Behavioural Sciences
The candidates with the following qualifications will be eligible
a) The candidates who have passed M.Sc/MA or its equivalent/examination with at least 60 % marks in the subjects mentioned below: from the colleges/institutes recognized by the UGC/Panjab University are eligible
Or
b) Have qualified NET examination (with fellowship only) conduct by UGC, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) examination conducted by ICMR/CSIR etc (within two years only). Attested copy of the result must be attached. If the candidate fails to produce the proof of his/her eligibility as per above qualification before one week of the entrance examination, his/her candidature will not be considered an entire responsibility for the same will lie on the candidate.

A degree of Master of Sciences (M.Sc) or Master in Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) or M.Sc. (Laboratory Technology) or M.Sc (Speech & Hearing) in subjects allied to Medical Sciences such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Human Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Immunology, Life Sciences including Botany, Zoology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Organic Chemistry,
Anthropology & M.Sc (Human Genomics).

Social Behavioural Sciences

APPLICATIONS:
The candidate is required to download the Application Form/Challan Form from the PGI website i.e. http://pgimer.edu.in.  
The candidate should take out a print of a Challan form in (triplicate) and deposit the required application fee in any branch of State Bank of India. The Challan form is required to be filled up in the name of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh (Examination) in the Power Jyoti Account No. 32211613319 and those candidates who have SBI account can also pay their fee through i-collect service of SBI and i-collect Account No. is 32222954695. In that case the INB reference No. will have to be mentioned instead of Challan No. in the application form.
The candidates are advice to retain one copy of challan for future use. The amount of fees to be paid is as under:
For SC/ST category - Rs. 800/-
For All other categories - Rs.1000/-
(The candidates should write his/her Name, Address, contact number and course name in which he /she apply, on the back side of Challan form).
The application dully filled in complete in all respect, should be sent by Speed post/Registered post to Registrar PGI Chandigarh on or before 30.05.2014 up to 4:00 PM along with a copy of challan fee and attested copies of certificates/testimonials.

The Kerala Agricultural University has extended the last date for submitting the application for KAUMAT towards the admission of MBA in Agribusiness Management to April 21, 2014.


The KAUMAT, which was earlier scheduled on April 28, will be now conducted on May 4, 2014. The exam will be conducted in College of Co-operation, Banking & Management at the university main campus in Vellanikkara in Thrissur.
