A candidate for admission to medical course "must have 60%® marks at +2 level in each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology taken together) and have an aggregate of 140/200 in these subjects, both at qualifying and competitive examinations and should have passed in English", (as per state & University guidelines)
(®60%in each and 130/200 aggregate for BC; 55% in each and 120/200 aggregate for MBC; and 40% in each and 80/200 aggregate for SC/ST candidates). (BC, MBC, SC/ST as defined by the TN Govt; all rules subject to change as per State & University guidelines) Example: If a candidate has 72% in Biology, 66% in Chemistry and 70% in Physics, then the aggregate works out to: {72 + (66 +70)/2} or {72 + 68} out of 200, i.e. 140/200 and is eligible. However, a candidate with 68 in Biology, 72 in Chemistry and 70 in Physics will have only {68+ (72+70)/2} on 200 or {68+71} on 200 i.e. 139/200 and is not eligible. APPLICATION:

The application fee includes a basic administrative fee of Rs.800 plus a registration fee per course applied. The registration fee per course is given below,

The application fee can be paid by any one of the methods as given below:
1. Demand draft in favour of “C.M.C. Vellore Association a/c” on any Scheduled Bank, payable in Vellore.
Keep your demand draft ready before filling the application form. Write your name and application number on the back of the demand draft and send the original DD to this office before the last date.
Otherwise application will not be registered.

2. As a challan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI bank in India. A challan will be generated when filling payment details in the application form. Please mention FC-CMC-V on the challan. Send the original challan to this office before the last date. Otherwise application will not be registered.

3. Online payment using only “Credit Card”.

Eligibility:
Candidates having passed (or due to appear in the final examination) their Master's degree in the concerned field with Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of at least 6.60/10.00 in ten-point scale, at least 3.25/5.00 in five-point scale, at least 2.60/4.00 in four-point scale for General, OBC and UPS categories candidates whereas for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates the said requirement is an OGPA of at least 5.60/10.00, 2.75/5.00, 2.20/4.00 respectively.

In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC and UPS categories whereas for SC/ST/PH the requirement is 50% marks. (Please note that equivalence between OGPA and % marks will not be acceptable). The candidate must have completed all requirements including thesis viva voce examination or project training etc. on or before 31st July, 2015.

In-service candidates:
Candidates in permanent employment with Central/State Governments and Universities with minimum two years service (as on 31st July 2015) in the relevant field of specialisation and otherwise meeting the eligibility requirements given above can apply as in-service candidates. The candidates must be fully sponsored by the employer. The in-service candidates are also required to appear in the entrance examination and obtain minimum qualifying marks for admission.

Information Bulletin and Application Form can be obtained from the office of Academic Coordinator by post w.e.f. 20.2.2015 to 9.3.2015 and from the cash Counter of Cashier, NDRI, Karnal w.e.f. 20.2.2015 to 16.3.2015 by paying Rs. 1200/- in cash. Candidates appearing for CAT/MAT/XAT will also have the option to appear for FDDI online test. In that case the best of two exams i.e. CAT/MAT/XAT or FDDI written exam will be considered for the merit of selection.
The common merit list of online test will be prepared for candidates appeared in the written test of FDDI and applied under CAT & MAT category. Accordingly, shortlisted candidates will be called for Counseling.

The important instructions for filling the form are given below.

A candidate can apply for more than one programme in a single form. For applying in multiple programmes candidates have to fill the programme code in accordance to their preference of programme as given in the Application Form.

Applicants of PG programmes can apply for other PG programmes only, in the same form.
Applicants of UG & Integrated programmes can apply for other UG & Integrated programmes only, in the same form.
If a candidate wish to apply for both UG & PG programmes he / she has to fill two separate application forms.
        
Applicant can choose Date of his/her choice from the dates given in the Application form for appearing in AIST. Maximum efforts will be made to accommodate on the given date and centre on first come first serve basis. However due to infrastructure constraints a candidate may sometimes be asked to appear on other dates /centre also.
Candidates applying under the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Disabled) must attach an attested copy of documentary proof signed by the competent authority as admissible, along with the duly filled up Application Form.
Candidates applying under exemption for written exam must attach photocopy of their relevant score card or admit card along with the duly filled up Application Form.
Candidates is required to paste one recent passport size coloured photograph in the specified area of the form. The photograph should be pasted properly. A form without the same shall be rejected.
Candidates is required to fill up the personal details given in the Admit Card and sent back along with the duly filled up form. The candidates are also required to send one self-addressed envelope (Size Approx 9.5 X 4.5 inches) along with the Application Form.
The candidates are required to sign properly & carefully (without any overwriting/cut) in the first column provided in the Admit Card indicated as signature of candidate (at the time of filling up the form)?. In case of mismatching of the signature you will not be allowed to appear for the test.

The higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 higher secondary examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two year of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination and in addition must have come in the merit list prepared as a result of such competitive by securing not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in the competitive examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Schedule Casts, Schedule Tribes or any other categories notified by the Government the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in qualifying examination & competitive entrance examination be 40% instead of 50% as stated above.

Provided that a candidate who has appeared in the qualifying examination the result of which has not been declared, he may be provisionally permitted to take up the competitive entrance examination and in case of selection for admission to the BDS course, he shall not be admitted to that course until he fulfils the eligibility criteria as per above regulations.

Application form and information brochure are available at all the private dental colleges running the BDS course under the association against payment of Rs. 1500 as examination/test fee.
