APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The Application Form and Prospectus can be obtained from the Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta - 577 451, either by post or in person or from the Approved Study Centres on payment of Rs.150/- through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of 'Finance Officer, Kuvempu University, payable at State Bank of Mysore, B.R. Project / Shimoga'.

Candidates applying by downloading application forms from the website have to add Rupees 150/- (towards application form fee) to the Course Fee and pay it through a Bank using the Challan Form or obtain a Demand Draft drawn in favour of 'Finance Officer, Kuvempu University, payable at State Bank of Mysore, B.R. Project / Shimoga', issued from any one of the following Banks (1) State Bank of India. (2) State Bank of Mysore or preferably from any Nationalised Bank.

Candidates have to send the filled up Application to the Director, DDE, Kuvempu University Jnana Sahyadri, Shankaraghatta - 577 451, Shimoga District, Karnataka along with the DD towards the Course Fee & relavant documents.

Last date for submission of application is 15-11-2010 and with a fine of Rs.100/- upto 15-12-2010.

Applications have been invited for admission to the following Ph.D Programmes (full time and part-time) at Anna University of Technology, Chennai for January 2011 Session:

Candidates who satisfy the general eligibility criteria and educational qualification shown below are eligible to apply for Ph.D. Programme.

1.  Master's Degree of the University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time by this University.

2.  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology of the University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study with a minimum of 15 years of R & D.

Experience in National research laboratories / Public sector undertakings and with minimum of three publications in refereed journals with impact factor or two international patents in the last five years.

3.  A minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination (50% marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale for SC/ST candidates). For M.A.(English) Degree holders including SC/ST candidates, a minimum of 50% marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale. Candidates also have to possess the Specific Educational Qualifications as mentioned below against each specialization:
(i) Ph.D. Degree in Engineering/ Technology: M.E./M.Tech. or M.S. (By Research) in the relevant branch of Engineering or Technology.
(ii) Ph.D. Degree in Science and Humanities: M.Sc./M.A.(English)/M.S. (By Research) in the relevant branch of Science and Humanities / M.C.A
(iii) Ph.D. Degree in Management Sciences: MBA / Post Graduate diploma in Business Management or Administration awarded by Indian Institute of Managements (IIMs) / M.S (By Research) in Management Sciences.
(iv) Ph.D. Degree in Architecture and Planning: M.Arch./M.Plan / M.S.(By Research) in Architecture and Planning

The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply under part-time programme:
1.  Full-time teachers of University Departments/University Colleges/Colleges affiliated to the University.
2.  Candidates working in Industrial units/R & D Departments/National Laboratories/Units of Government/Quasi Government or any other research laboratories which are recognized by the University to do collaborative research with the University and sponsored by the respective employer.

Candidates having qualified for the M.B.B.S Degree and having completed their compulsory rotating residential internship and obtained full registration before 15/05/2011, are eligible to apply for the post-graduate diploma and degree courses.

Candidates having qualified for a post-graduate diploma can also apply for the post-graduate degree (MS/MD) course in the same subject. Post-Diploma candidates with a diploma in the same subject will undergo 2 years training for the degree. For the Course No.22 above, candidates need an MSc degree in Medical Physics or a Post-Graduate Diploma in Hospital Physics (Dip R.P) from BARC, Mumbai.

Application forms are also available by post from the Office of the Registrar, CMC, Thorapadi PO, Vellore 632002 on payment of Rs.750/-. (a registration fee of Rs.600/- per course is applicable)

Candidates applying from SAARC countries have to send a Demand Draft for Rs.1500/- or its equivalent and those from other foreign countries US dollars 100 or its equivalent.

Applications are also available at the following post offices in Vellore: Bagayam, Vellore HO and CMC Town Campus.

Payments can be made either as a chalan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI Bank in India (have to mention FC-CMC-V on the challan or a Demand draft in favour of 'C.M.C. Vellore Association a/c' on any scheduled bank, payable in Vellore.)

Completed application forms are to be sent, along with necessary documents, to the Office of the Registrar, CMC, Vellore 632002 on or before 30th October 2010 (12.00 PM).

Post Graduate Program in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) Admissions 2011-2013

 

Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB) has invited applications for admissions to Post-graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) of Academic Session 2011-2013.

Open candidates (Other than Government sponsored) seeking admission should be graduates with minimum 7 years' work experience and aged not over 40 years as on June 1, 2011. They need to take CAT 2010 exam or should have secured GMAT/GRE scores between April 1, 2009 and November 1, 2010.

DoPT Sponsored Candidates i.e. Group A Officers of All India Services and Central Services with minimum of 7 years of experience can apply for the course.

For Open candidates (other than DoPT sponsored) applying with GMAT or GRE scores, the application fee is Rs.1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) and for those open candidates who take the CAT 2010, the application fee is  Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only). The application fee should be sent by a demand draft drawn in favour of "Indian Institute of Management Bangalore" payable at par at Bangalore.
For the DoPT sponsored participants, there is no application fee.
