Centre For Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) has invited applications for admission to the following courses, commencing in February 2011.
1. PG Diploma in Advanced Computing (DAC)
2. PG Diploma in Wireless & Mobile Computing (WiMC)

Candidates with BE / ME or Equivalent (AMIE, AIETE), B.Sc (Engg), MCA, MCS (After B.Sc), M Sc (Electronics), M.Sc (Instrumentation), MCM (With B.Sc), MBA (Systems), BCS, B.Sc(IT), B Sc (Comp. Sc.), BCA, BIS (Bachelor of Internet Sciences), Bachelor Of E-Commerce are eligible to apply for DAC. Engineering Graduates or Science Post Graduates in Electronics, Telecommunications, Instrumentation and Computer Science are eligible to apply for WiMC).

Candidates have to register at the website: http://acts.cdac.in to accord a registration number for filling the online form for the Common Entrance Test (CET).  The non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) for the CET is to be paid by DD drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of 'C-DAC, ACTS' payable at Pune and sent to "The Programme Coordinator, C-DAC, Advanced Computing Training School, 5th Floor,N.S.G. IT Park, S.No. 127/2B/2A, Aundh, Pune –411 007, Maharashtra".

Alternatively, printed Application Forms along with the instruction sheet are also available free of cost at all the Authorized Training Centers (ATCs) of C-DAC. Candidates can fill in the printed application form and attach a DD drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of "C-DAC, ACTS" payable at Pune of Rs.600/- towards registration fees and send to "The Programme Coordinator, C-DAC, Advanced Computing Training School, 5th Floor,N.S.G. IT Park, S.No. 127/2B/2A, Aundh, Pune –411 007, Maharashtra".
 
Last date for submission of application for CET1 is November 18, 2010 and for CET2 is December 08, 2010.

The KLE University, Karnataka, will be conducting KLE University Post-Graduate All India Entrance-Test-2011 (KLE-PGAIET-2011) on Saturday, the 29th January  2011 at sixteen centers across the country viz. Belgaum, Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Kolkata, Panjim, Indore, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Tirupati, Cochin and Guwahati for admission to various Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma Courses (Medical/Dental) in the constituent colleges of the University viz.  J. N. Medical College Belgaum and KLE V. K. Institute of Dental Sciences Belgaum, for the academic session 2011-12.

The candidate seeking admission to the above said courses should have passed MBBS phase III/Final BDS examinations from the college recognized by Medical Council/ Dental Council of India. Foreign / PIO / NRI students need not appear for KLEU-PGAIET-2011 as their admission will be based on qualifying examination marks.

The Application/Admission process involves the following four stages, along with submission of a DD of Nationalized Bank for Rs. 3000/- drawn in favour of Registrar, KLE University, payable at Belgaum.:
• Online submission of application form for KLEU-PGAIET-2011 examination on or before 13-01-2011 by 5:00 PM.
• Sending by post, a hard copy of print out of application form submitted online along with photograph and other enclosures on or before 19-01-2011 by 5.00 PM to The Registrar, KLE University, Nehru Nagar, Belgaum 590 010, Karnataka.
• Appearing for Test on 29-01-2011 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
• Appearing for counseling at the Admissions Office at Nehru Nagar, Belgaum- 590010 from 7th March 2011 to 12th March 2011 (provisional dates).

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) -2011

Next year's Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission to undergraduate courses in IITs, IT-BHU Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad will be held on April 11, 2011.,Sunday. 

On-line application process for this will commence on Monday,  November 01, 2010 and close on Wednesday, December 15, 2010. 
Sale of Off-line Applications will begin on Friday,  November 12, 2010.

ELIGIBILITY:
Candidates satisfying all the conditions given below are eligible for appearing in JEE-2011:
(1) Date of Birth:
The date of birth of candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories should be on or after October 1,1985. Whereas the date of birth of those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories should be on or after October 1,1980.

(2) Year of passing Qualifying Examination (QE):
A candidate must have passed the QE for the first time, after October 1, 2008 or in the year 2009 or will be appearing in 2010. Those who are going to appear in the QE later than October 1, 2010 are not eligible to apply for JEE-2010.

The qualifying examinations (QE) are listed below:

i) The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized central / state Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi; etc. ii) Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board / University.  iii) Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.  iv) General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.  v) High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.  vi) Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).  vii) H.S.C. vocational examination.  viii) Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.  ix) 3 or 4 year Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state Board of technical education.

In case the relevant qualifying examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination at an earlier level.

(3) Minimum Percentage of Marks in QE
Candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their QE. Whereas, those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the QE.

APPLICATIONS:
Candidates can submit application either online through Internet or Off-line through prescribed OMR application forms.

a) Online: The application fee for On-line mode is Rs.450/- for SC/ST/PD/Female Candidates and Rs.900 for all other candidates. Applications can be submitted through any of the websites as follows:

The National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD), Hyderabad, has invited applications for admission to 'Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM)' of the Year 2011-12. The Entrance Test for admission to the course will be conducted on 06.02.2011 at the following centres: Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Indore, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Kohima, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, Pune, Rajkot, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Siliguri, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur and Vishakhapatanam.

ELIGIBILITY: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 1st August, 2011 may also apply. Some seats are reserved for the Indian in-service candidates and international in-service candidates sponsored by regional development organizations such as AARDO and CIRDAP. Indian in-service candidates should possess at least two years of work experience in rural development and allied sectors, and are required to apply through their employers. The international candidates should apply through the secretariats of the respective regional organisations viz., AARDO, CIRDAP.

APPLICATION: Prospectus-cum-application form can be obtained from the Admissions Coordinator, Centre for Post Graduate Studies (CPGS), NIRD, Hyderabad, free of cost. ELIGIBILITY:
Candidates should have:

a Master's degree in any discipline, with at lease 55% marks (High second class) and at least 50% marks at Bachelor's degree level

OR

OR

Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, has started the admission modalities of Post-Graduate Programme in Software Enterprise Management (PGSEM) course by inviting online registration to Open House session which will be conducted at IIM, Bangalore Campus on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at 10.00 am.

Registration are open to working professionals with following criteria:

(I) Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

(II) Applicants need to have a minimum of two years experience in the IT industry as on June 1, 2011.
