THE 2012 SCIENCE QUIZ POWERED BY FIITJEE
"The 2012 Science Quiz" is a Noble Initiative, powered by FIITJEE, purely without any profit motive, to achieve the following objectives :
❖ Give exposure to developments in Science & Technology.
❖ Create awareness about the role of Science & Technology in bringing peace and prosperity.
❖ Use of Science &Technology to move towards a cleaner environment with sustairtable use of resources for the benefit of mankind.
❖ To develop Scientific Minded Citizens.
❖ Adding fun to the Learning of Science..
The participation in "The 2012 Science Quiz", is open and free for all the schools in Tamilnadu (-f-Pondicherry, Andaman & Nichobar Islands) and Kerala (+ Lakswadeep Islands) for their students studying in class VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI & XII.
IMPORTANT DATES
STAGE - I : Schools can conduct the Stage I (School Level) on any one of the 3 dates - 26th Aug.'12, 30th Aug.'12, 14th Sept.'12.
STAGE - II : The District level of the Quiz (Stage II) will be conducted in the last week of October / First week of November.
STAGE - III : The State level of the Quiz (Stage III) will be an on stage event and is likely to be telecast on one of the leading TV channels. The exact schedule will be communicated to eligible students in due course of time.

AWARDS & REWARDS
STAGE -1 (School Level) : Every participant will receive a participation certificate with detailed analysis of his / her scientific quotient. All students with score 7 and above will receive a special Certificate. Top ranking students will receive Diamond and Gold certificates. Top 3 students in each grade from each school wUI receive Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals subject to minimum of 100 students' participation in each Grade. The name of Top 100 schools (on the basis of Total points scored by the students of that school) will be published in the Quiz Souvenir.
STAGE - II (District Level): On the basis of net points earned by the participants, the Top 3 best Performing Schools from each district will be eligible for a Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000/-, Rs. 5,000/- and Rs. 3,000/- respectively along with a Gold / Silver / Bronze trophy.
STAGE - III (State Level): Three Schools which are adjudged the best in the State will receive Diamond, Gold and Silver trophies respectively. In addition to these trophies the 3 best schools will also be awarded a Cash Award of Rs. 1,00,000/-, Rs. 50,000/- and Rs. 25,000/- respectively. All Schools and participants at the State Level will receive a Participation Cup.
There is no participation fee for schools. Detailed Quiz Brochure and School Registration Form is available at all FIITJEE Centers or can also be downloaded from Quiz website
www.thesciencequiz.com. There is no individual student registration for the Quiz. Students are advised to contact their respective school offices for participation.
