Admission:

An all-India examination to test the preparedness of the applicants will be held on 19 April, 2015. The examination will be held at Hyderabad and a number of major cities in the country depending on the number of applicants from each region. The entrance examination will consist of two papers. Paper I test the general aptitude of the candidate and will consist of objective questions from Mathematics, Programming, and Logical Reasoning. Paper II is the Subject Paper, which tests the candidate's subject knowledge.

How to apply:

All applications should be submitted online in PGEE portal

To submit the application, a candidate has to complete two registration forms: Pre-Registration Form and Main Registration Form.

Pre-registration can be done at link: http://admissions.iiit.ac.in/PGEE/portal/pre/

After filling the Pre-Registration form, the candidate receives an E-Mail which contains the link and identification code. The link should be opened in a browser by supplying the identification code to fill in the Main Registration Form.

Applicants can apply for one or more programmes in the same form by indicating choices. The application fee is Rs. 2000/- for one programme and Rs. 50/- extra for each additional programme applied for. Application fee can be paid either through Credit Card or through Demand Draft. Demand Draft should be in favor of IIIT, Hyderabad.

Printout of the application and DD etc should be sent to the Chairman, PG Admissions, IIIT, Gachibowli, Hyderabad-500032, Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria for admission:

A candidate with a 3 years Bachelor’s Degree course (10+2+3) or its equivalent in any discipline from a recognized University / Institute with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (45% for SC / ST candidates) shall ordinarily be considered for admission. Students appearing in the final examination and expecting their results by July 28, 2015 may also apply.

Eligibility criterion for admission to PhD programme is

(i) MDes with minimum marks / CPI in Qualifying Degree.

(ii) A minimum of 65 percent marks OR a CPI/CGPA of 6.5 (on the scale of 10.00) shall be required at the master's level qualifying examination.

(iii) Relaxation for reserved category as per Govt. of India norms

(iii) Candidates who are on permanent role in NITs, IIITs, Central Universities, Govt. Universities, Defence R&D organization, PSUs for at least two years shall be eligible to apply for admission under the category of External Registration Programme.

Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun, invites applications for admission to PG in Wildlife Science during 2015-16 at Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun.

Eligibility:

(1) Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Medical Sciences, Engineering, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Social Science, Computer Science and Computer Applications or degrees recognized as equivalent thereof (should have studied in Science stream at Higher Secondary Education Board or other equivalent board).

2) Minimum of 15 years of formal education (either 10+2+3 or 11+2+2).

3) Minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Bachelor?s degree. Candidate must produce result along with mark sheet of their graduation at the time of their personality and aptitude test, failing which their candidature will be treated as cancelled. Shortlisted foreign candidates will be interviewed through audio or video conferencing following which their final selection will be made. The date and time of the interview will be informed by email. Foreign nationals who do not have English as their native language should provide evidence of proficiency in English (e.g. TOEFL Score) for admission to this course. The TOEFL or IELTS score reports should not be more than two years since taking the Test to submission of the application. A minimum TOEFL Score of 213 (computer based), 550 (paper based), or 79 (internet based), or minimum of 6.0 IELTS score is required.
