The Institute of Behavioral Science of Gujarat Forensic Sciences University is inviting applications for Post graduate diploma in forensic psychology course for the year 2009 -2010

Eligibility

: The candidates who have secured second class (IInd) Master degree/ Post graduate degree in psychology from recognized University/ Institution or

In-service candidate from clinical psychology/psychiatry/ forensic experts having experience of handling lie detector for more than five years are eligible.

Candidates with Master degree by correspondence course, part time or distance education are not eligible

Number of seats 20

Indian nationals 15 seats

Foreign nationals and NRI's 5 seats

Last date of Submission of Application forms 20 June 2009

Last date for admission 25 July 2009

Commencement of course 01 August 2009

1st Semester Examination First week of January 2010

Final Examination. Third week of July 2010.

Results of Final Examination Second week of August 2010

Guidelines for Filling up application form

Candidates who have appeared in post graduation examination and whose results are awaited may also apply.

List of certified copies of certificates to be attached with application

Attested photocopies of educational qualification

Attested photocopies of experience certificate

No objection certificate in case of candidates working with government departments.

Demand Draft

Original documents should be produced at the time of admission

The web downloaded form must be accompanied by a demand draft of Rs. 500/- (non refundable) in favor of Registrar, Gujarat Forensic Science University" payable at Gandhinagar. Applicant should write his complete name on the back side of the Demand Draft.

Fee structure

Tuition Fee for national candidates: Rs. 15,000 (Rs. Fifteen thousand only), per semester

Tuition fees for foreign nationals and NRI's US$ 1000 (US$ One thousand only), per semester

Caution money and deposits as per University regulations.

Submission of Application form:

Duly filled application form with Demand Draft should be submitted on or before 20th June 2009 in a sealed envelope marked as "PG Diploma in Forensic Psychology, year 2009-2010" on the top of the envelop by registered post, by courier, or in person to the Registrar, Gujarat Forensic Science University, Sector 18/A Behind Police Bhavan, Gandhinagar, Gujarat 382007 on all working days between 11:00 am to 4:00pm except 2nd and 4th Saturday.

Application received after the due date will not be considered for admission.
