SRDE’s Association of Higher Education Institutions established under the aegis of Society for Research & Development in Education (SRDE) registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 at Delhi, India. SRDE is an ISO 9001-2000 certified non-profit organization established in the year 2002. The Society is committed to encourage positive educational experiences to meet the challenges and demands of globalised environment. It aims to provide educational services that are reliable, cost effective and nationally and globally recognized. The services under SRDE will be designed to make the Indian Higher Education system most competitive utilizing latest technology and knowledge base.

SAHEI conducts the National Aptitude Test (NAT); it is a All-India level Common Entrance Test. The test is conducted for students for both at the Under Graduate (NAT-UG) and the Post Graduate (NAT-PG) level for gaining admission into various Professional, Management and Allied programmes at the UG and PG levels. NAT would not only ascertain the aptitude of the candidates to pursue various Management, vocational and professional programmes; but also allows the Higher Education Institutions to tap the right kind of candidates as its students. The Date of Test (NAT-UG & NAT-PG) is 24th January 2010. The Test shall be conducted at 23 prominent cities across the country.

The list of participants include:
EIILM University, Karunya University, Jaipur National University, Gujrat Vidyapeeth University, Shobit University, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth University, MATS University, Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women’s University, Times Business School, New Delhi Institute of Management Studies, Jaipuria Institute Of Management Studies, Institute of Management and Research, Graduate School of Business & Administration, Excel Group of Institutions, Maharishi Arvind Institute of Hotel Management, TASMAC, WLC College, Jyoti Nivas College, SCMS-Cochin, T.John Group of Institutions, Presidency College, ASM Group of Institutes, International Institute of Management & HRD among others.

NAT connects the students and Higher Education Institutions on a collective basis. Apart from the benefits of a Common entrance system like economy in operations, validity, transparency etc. the NAT-UG at the 10+2 level is the first of its kind to offer a common entrance testing mechanism to the non-Engineering & non- medical students at the 10+2 level. Though there are several tests at the PG level like CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, JMET; there is still a vacuum at the 10+2 level. Also contrary to as commonly understood; MHRD does not recognise entrance test for management institutions and hence no management tests are approved by Ministry of HRD on date. This has been the response towards the request for recognition of National Aptitude Test as a national entrance test by MHRD to SRDE as well.
