Eligibility: M.Phil. Programme (Two Semester Course):

Admission to M.Phil Programme is open to a student who:

a.       Holds at least a second class Master's Degree with 55 % marks or more in the subject concerned. But for admission in M.Phil Genetics & Plant Breeding candidates having M.Sc Degree with 55 % marks or more in Botany, Biotechnology and Seed Science are also eligible. For M.Phil Botany candidates having M.Sc degree in Industrial Bio- Technology can also apply. And
b.       Has passed both Bachelor's Degree and Intermediate examination each separately with at least 50 % marks. OR
c.       Passed bachelor's Degree with 55% marks and intermediate examination in second division.

M.A., M.Sc., M.Sc(Ag) (Four Semester course):  Admission to all Master's Degree subjects shall be open to a student who:

 

a.       Has passed Bachelor's Degree and Intermediate examination in second division with at least 50 % marks in each exam separately and must have offered the subject at graduation level in which he/she is seeking admission. But in Sociology, Economics History and Statistics graduates of other disciplines are also eligible as mentioned below: 

i.                     For admission to M.A. (Sociology), candidate having B.Sc. or B.B.A. degree is also eligible.
ii.                   For admission to M.A. (Economics), candidate having B.A. / B.Sc. degree with Mathematics as one of he main subjects at 10+2 or graduation level or those with B.B.A / B.Com. / B.C.A. degree is also eligible.
iii.                  For admission to M.A. (History), candidates with graduation in any discipline are eligible. 
iv.                 For admission to M.Sc. (Statistics), candidates with B.A. / B.Sc. degree with Statistics / Mathematics are eligible. OR

b.       has passed Bachelor's Degree examination with 55 % marks (must have offered the subject in graduation) and has obtained second division marks in Intermediate in the 10+2+3 system of education. For admission in M.Sc.(Ag) four year graduation is required. Other eligibility conditions will be the same.

M.Ed. (Two Semester Course):  Admission to M.Ed. course will be governed by the conditions laid in relevant G.Os in operation. However, an applicant will be eligible for admission to this course:

a. only when he/she has obtained 50% marks separately in theory and practical at B.Ed. level. OR

b. has passed B.Ed. Degree examination with 55% marks (50% theory, 50% practical separately) and has obtained second division marks in graduation. Therefore, only those students whose B.Ed. results are complete on the date of application may apply for admission. The merit of an applicant will be calculated on the basis of full marks in theory and 50% of marks obtained in practical in B.Ed. or an equivalent recognized examination plus marks obtained in entrance test for M.Ed.
 
How To Apply: Application form to be filled-in Online & downloaded from the university website from 28.03.2010 to 15.04.2010 till 5.00 PM only. 

 

Print out of Downloaded copy of the filled-in Application Form must reach the Office of The Coordinator, Campus Entrance Test-2010, (Department of History), C.C.S. University, Meerut on or before the scheduled date. 

 

Eligible candidates are permitted to apply only for two courses / programmes at P.G. level and only one course at M.Phil. Separate (more than one) application form for different courses shall not be accepted from the same candidate and no one shall be allowed to sit for more than two courses (from the same group) at P.G. Level and one course at M.Phil. 

 

Fee for Regular & Self-Finance Programmes: For Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates as defined by the State Govt. Rs.350.00 

 

For candidates belonging to other categories (General & OBC): Rs.500.00
