ADMISSIONS 2010 (PG ADMISSIONS)
 
University of Calicut has invited applications for the admission to the following PG courses under Cost based Scheme (Self financing) in the School of Health Sciences, for the Academic year 2010-2011.
1. M.Sc. Degree in Medical Biochemistry,
2. M.Sc. Food Science and Technology,
3. M.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology ,
4. M.Sc. Medical Microbiology

Candidates with pass in 4 year B.Sc Medical Biochemistry Examination of University of Calicut with a minimum of 50% marks or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto can apply for course 1of above. In the absence of the above, candidates who have passed 3 year B.Sc. Biochemistry / B.Sc Chemistry Degree Examination with 50% marks from University of Calicut or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto can seek admission. For such candidates the course duration will be 3 years.

Candidates having a B.Sc degree in Food Science & Technology of University of Calicut or equivalent are eligible to apply for the course 2, above.

Candidates with a pass in 4 year B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology Examination of the University of Calicut with a minimum of 50% marks or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto are eligible to apply for the course 3, above. In the absence of the above, candidates who have passed 3 year B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or B.Sc., with 2 year Diploma 50% marks and five-years experience in government or other recognized Medical Laboratory, can seek admission.

Candidates with a pass in 4 year B.Sc Medical Microbiology Examination of the University of Calicut with a minimum of 50% marks or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto can apply for the course 4, of above. In the absence of the above, candidates who have passed 3 year B.Sc Microbiology/B.Sc. Botany/B.Sc Zoology Degree Examination with 50% marks from the University of Calicut or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto can seek admission. For such candidates the course duration will be 3 year.

Usual relaxation in minimum marks will be allowed to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OEC/OBC. Applications forms and prospectus can be downloaded from the Website: www.universityofcalicut.info

Completed application has to be attached with a chalan receipt for Rs. 250/- per application in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Calicut payable at S.B.T., Calicut University Branch.
 
Last Date of submission of filled in application forms for course 2 is : 24.06.2010 and of others is 31.07.2010.
