Admissions for
Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)
under
Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme for the Academic Year 2011-12
to
Undergraduate Courses in Engineering
in
National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIITs and other premier Technical Institutions in India

Applicants are required to note that the DASA 2011 online application portal is launched on April 1st 2011. Applicants are advised to read the brochure carefully before filling the online application form.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has entrusted the coordination of the admission process under DASA scheme to NITK, Surathkal from academic year 2010-11 vide an official order (No F-22-12/2007-TSIII dated 04 March 2010).

We are introducing M Tech. and MBA programmes under DASA scheme admissions from this academic year 2011-12. The guide lines for the programme are as under.

1. Qualification required for each programme.
All candidates applying for M.Tech programme should have undergraduate degree in the
required specialization or equivalent from recognized (approved by Association of Indian
Universities) institutes/universities from outside India.

2. Criteria for Merit List preparation.
Applicants to M.Tech programmes should have a valid GRE General Test scores with a
minimum score of 1200 out of 1800, applicants to MBA programme should have a valid GMat
score with a minimum score of 600 out of 800.
The merit list will be prepared based on GRE General Test score and on G-Mat score for
M.Tech and MBA programmes respectively.

3. Fee Structure.
The proposed annual Tuition Fee will be 4000/- USD for both M.Tech and MBA
programme with a processing fee of 250/- USD. Application from SAARC countries will be
given 50% Tuition Fee waiver as per Government of India order. But the processing fee in
case of Nepalese students paying in Indian Rupees would be 400/- USD.
