Applications have been invited from the Indian citizens for admission to the following programs scheduled to commence from August 2011 at RGIPT, Rae Bareli.
B.Tech.:
1. Petroleum Engineering – 40 seats
(Earlier called: Petroleum Reservoir & Production Engineering)
2. Chemical Engineering – 35 seats
(Earlier called: Petroleum Refining Engineering)
Eligibility: Admission will be based on IIT JEE–2011 results including the extended merit list issued by IIT. The candidate should have a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST) in class 12th or equivalent.
Important Dates:
* Last date for online submission of application: July 06, 2011(Wednesday)
* Last date for receipt of application by post: July 08, 2011 (Friday)
Application Fee: Rs.1000/-(One thousand only). Payment of the application fee can be made either through demand draft ( in favour of “Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology” payable at New Delhi) or through online transfer.
M.Tech. (10 Seats )
Eligibility: A 4-year B.Tech/B.E. degree in Petroleum Engineering, Petro-Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.
GATE score basis: Shortlisted candidates based on their GATE scores will be called for a written test followed by an interview. Final selection list will be made on the scores obtained in the written test and interview aggregately
Company sponsorship basis: GATE score is not required. These candidates must appear for a written test followed by an interview. Such candidates will not be eligible for M.Tech. fellowship.

Eligibility: Minimum 60% in aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in class 10th and 12th, having Mathematics as one of the subjects in 12th and a 4-year B.Tech/B.E. degree in any branch of engineering with 65% marks or CPI of 7.0/10.0 or above. Candidates who satisfy the above and have qualified CAT 2010, or JMET 2011, or GMAT 2010 will be admitted on the basis of group discussion and personal interview.
