THE Muslim Association College of Engineering at Venjaram-mood, established almost a decade back, is a prestigious educational institution run by the Muslim Association in Trivandrum. The Muslim Association College of Engineering, rated first in basic facilities and in teaching standards, has provisions for 420 candidates to pursue with studies in civil, mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering as well as computer science and IT. Eighteen seats have been provided for the post-graduate degree of M.Tech in Microwave and TV engineering. Two new postgraduate courses in thermal and industrial engineering are also set to begin soon.
In addition to ensuring quality education, the college has developed comprehensive training methods in improving English and implemented 'continuous placement assurance scheme' for the students who are passing out successfully.
'Value-based higher learning programme' is yet another scheme that makes the college unique in its services. Scholarships are also given for the deserving as well as the under-privileged, and hundreds of students have passed out the courses utilising this scheme and are working at various places. There are separate hostel facilities for boys and girls in the campus. The management and staff are working unanimously with the aim of making this institution a 'centre of excellence in engineering.'
