ABOUT CBIP:
Government
of India for development of Irrigation & Power of our country in the pre-independence
era. It is now committed towards the development of Irrigation, Power &
Renewable energy sectors of the country through its Human Resources
development.
ABOUT THE
COURSE: This is a modular type course of 52 weeks duration (2 semesters)
covering the complete syllabus as per the provision of mandatory training under
Indian Electricity Regulations for O&M of Thermal Power Station.
WHYYOU
SHOULD JOIN? The main aim of the course is to develop a pool of technically
trained manpower readily available for inducting them in Operation & Maintenance
of Thermal Power Stations of Indian Power Sector. The course is also open for
the sponsored candidates from SEBs/ Power utilities/Power Companies (Public
& Pvt.)
ELIGIBILITY:
Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from a recognized university/institution.
Those appearing in their final year examination can also apply. However, they
must submit their diploma/provisional diploma at the time of counseling/start
of the course.
SELECTION
CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION: Based on merit of the marks of 10th, & Diploma.
TOTALSEATS: 60
(sixty seats - provisional).
SPONSORED
SEATS: 10% of the seats are reserved for sponsored candidates having Diploma
and 1 year experience in Power utilities for both of the above categories.
AGE LIMIT: For Non-sponsored candidates, the age limit
is 26 years as on 23/09/2013. No age limit for the sponsored candidates.
FEES: For non-sponsored & sponsored candidates,
Rs.95,000/- & Rs.1,30,000/- respectively, excluding the lodging &
boarding charges.
VENUE: CBIP,
Gurgaon (NCR)/New Delhi.
PLACEMENT:CBIP
maintains close linkages with all power utilities and reputed companies of
Indian Power Sector which will help for the placement of the students.
Sponsored candidates will not be considered for any campus placement. Most of
the students of previous such programmes of CBIP have been placed.
