Winter School 2014 – 15 : Application of Statistical Methods
in Medicine, Public Health and Environment
Applications have been invited for Winter School
2014 - 15 in Application of Statistical Methods in Medicine, Public Health and
Environment using Computer scheduled to be conducted during 23 March - 27
March, 2015 at Applied Statistics Unit Indian Statistical Institute.
Topics to be
covered : Descriptive Measures, Sampling and Design of Experiments,
Probability and Distributions, One Sample test, Two Sample and Paired t tests.
Tests for Proportions and Tests for Independence in Contingency Table. Correlations.
Linear and Multiple Regression. Binary Logistic Regression. ANOVA. Survival
Analysis, Cluster and Longitudinal Data Analysis.
Target group : Researchers/Professionals,
affiliated to Govt. Institute/Universities of India, with Masters in Medicine/Public
Health/Environment or pursuing PhD in Biological Science. Only the Candidates
who need to analyze data in their domain using Statistical software, are
eligible to apply

channel, duly countersigned by the Departmental Head. In case of research
fellow application should be countersigned by both the Head and PhD.,
