MS / MDS/ Diploma Admission Notice 2015
Amrita
School of Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, has invited
applications for admission for admission to the MD / MS / MDS/ Diploma
programs.
For
MD/MS, the duration of the course is three years from the date of commencement
of classes. It will be 2 years in case of those who have recognized Post
Graduate Diploma in the same subject. Diploma courses are of two years
duration.
For
MD / MS Clinical subjects, applicant should not be over 30 years of age as on
31st December 2015. There is no age limit for MD - Non Clinical & all PG
Diploma courses. Those who failed more than 3 times in any examination, during
the MBBS course are not eligible. Those who are likely to complete the
internship on or before 30th April 2015 can also apply. Those who hold MBBS
Degrees from Foreign Universities should have passed the Screening Test
conducted by the National Board of Examinations.
Diploma
(MCI Recognised) Holders need to do only two years as lateral entry for
admission into MD courses.
Online
Registration for submission of applications commences on 2nd January 2015 and
will continue up to 28th February 2015 (Saturday).
Selection
will be based on an Examination to be conducted at Amrita School of Medicine,
Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, AIMS Ponekkara P.O.,Kochi, Kerala 682 041
from 9.30am to 12.30pm on 8th March 2015 (Sunday).
The
entrance test for MD/MS will consist of one paper having 200 multiple choice
questions covering all the subjects taught at M.B.B.S level.The entrance test
for MDS will consist of one paperof 180 minutes duration containing 200
multiple choice questions covering all the subjects taughtat BDS level.
Test
will have objective type questions. Each MCQ will consistof a stem and four
options, labelled A, B, C & D.Only one of the options is correct and for
eachcorrect response one mark will be awarded.There will be no negative marks.
The
Application Fee is Rs 2000/-Online Application can be submitted at
www.amrita.edu/healthsciences and the application fee can be paid online using
Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card. The Bank charges if any will be borne by
the candidate. Applicant may keep a printout of the confirmation page the
application form for future reference.
Results
of the Entrance examinations will normally be published within two or three
weeks and results of interview within three days. These will be published at
Amrita website www.amrita.edu/healthsciences
and displayedon notice boards in the
Admission Office of the School of Medicine.
Counseling
and admission generally commence within two weeks from declaration of results.
Dates of counseling will be published at the website. Candidates may keep visiting
website www.amrita.edu/healthsciences
for updates on counseling. No separate
call letters or messages will be sent.
