Applications have been invited by Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee from GATE qualified candidates for admission to the Postgraduate programmes leading to MTech, MArch, MURP for the session 2012-13.

Application Process:
For admission to PG programmes 2012 candidates need to register and fill the application ONLINE only by accessing website: http://pgadm.iitr.ernet.in. The application process is complete only when a print out of the filled ONLINE application with the candidate’s signature and a good quality photo affixed in the appropriate places is sent to the Chairman, PG Admissions office, IIT Roorkee, Roorkee along with necessary documents on or before April 25, 2012.

Application Fee:
For General/OBC Category Rs. 400/- + *Rs. 100/-
For PD/SC/ST Category Rs. 200/- + * Rs. 100/-
*Rs. 100/- for each additional department

The candidate is required to download Bank Challan Proforma from pgadm.iitr.ernet.in and then deposit the above requisite fee in any branch of Punjab National Bank throughout the country on or before the last date i.e. April 20, 2012.

M.Tech./M.Arch./M.U.R.P, Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral Fellowship Admissions 2011

Applications have been invited from GATE qualified candidates for admission to the Post-Graduate programmes leading to M.Tech./M.Arch./M.U.R.P. for the session 2011-12 at IIT-Roorkee.

Sponsored candidates and IIT graduates without GATE (having minimum CGPA of 8.00 on 10 point scale) are also eligible for admission.

Applications are also invited for admission to Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral Fellowship programmes for the session 2011 -12 from candidates having the following qualifications:
a) Masters degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Urban & Rural Planning / Pharmacy / Computer Applications of 3 years duration after graduation in respective discipline or equivalent with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6.00 on a 10 point scale or equivalent as determined by the institute wherever letter grades are awarded; or 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) where marks are awarded.
OR

b) Masters degree in Sciences/Humanities & Social Sciences/ Management in respective discipline or equivalent with a valid NET or valid GATE or valid GPAT score and minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6.00 on a 10 point scale or equivalent as determined by the institute where letter grades are awarded; or 60% marks where marks are awarded.

OR
c) B.Tech. / B.Arch. degree or equivalent in respective discipline with excellent academic record (with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 70% marks) and in possession of a valid GATE score.

The admission eligibility requirements for Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral Fellowship programmes may be relaxed to 5.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent, or to 55% marks to the following categories:
a. SC/ST candidates with Master’s degree.
b. Any category of PD (Persons with disabilities) Candidate holding B.Tech. degree or equivalent degree.
c. Academic staff of the Institute who has an experience of more than 5 years.

APPLICATION FORMS:
The Application Form and Information Brochure can be downloaded from the website: http://www.iitr.ernet.in from March 21, 2011 to April 21, 2011.
Application forms can also be obtained by sending a written request and a Demand Draft of Rs. 50/- drawn in favour of “Chairman, PG Admission, IIT Roorkee” payable at Roorkee, along with a self addressed envelope of “A4 size” which should reach latest by April 11, 2011.

For PG Programmes, the filled Application Form should be submitted in A4 size envelope along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 400/- for General/OBC Category or Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/PD Category, drawn in favour of “Chairman, PG Admission, IIT Roorkee” payable at Roorkee, plus fee of Rs. 100/- per additional department (if applied).

For Ph.D. Programmes and Post-Doctoral Fellowship, the filled in Application Form may be sent to the “Chairman, PG Admission, IIT Roorkee, Roorkee along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 200/- per department drawn in favour of “Chairman, PG Admission, IIT Roorkee” payable at Roorkee.

Last date for submission of filled Application Form is April 21, 2011.
