Applications are invited from unmarried Indian citizens for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) as Pilot / Observer in the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy for course commencing June 2015 at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala.

Educational Qualifications:
Candidates with following educational qualification may apply:
(a) General Candidates:
A graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks. Should have qualified 10+2 level with Mathematics & Physics.

(b) CPL Holders:
A graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks. Should have qualified 10+2 level with Mathematics and Physics. The candidate must be in possession of current CPL issued by DGCA(lndia).

Physical Standards:
(a) Height and Weight:
A minimum height for men 162.5 cms and for women 152 cms with correlated weight, leglength, sitting height and thigh length.
(b) Eye Sight:
Minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/6,6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Should not be colour / night blind.

How to apply:
Candidates have to submit application online for this entry. Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidates will result in cancellation of his/her candidature. The candidates applying online (e-application) can do so till 03rd October 2014.

Whilst filling up the e-application, it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available to enable the following:
(a) Correct filling up of personal particulars, details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate.
(b) Fields such as Postal address, e-mail address, and Mobile number are mandatory fields and need to be filled.

Filling up of e-application - For filling up application 'Online' visit website www.nausena- bharti.nic.in and proceed as follows:
(a) Click in the 'Officer Entry' button under the option 'Apply Online' on the Home Page,

(b) Fill the online registration form. Tips to assist in filling up fields have been provided as you highlight each field. Before clicking the submit button it should be checked whether all the details entered in the form are correct as you will not be able to make any corrections after saving the record.

(c) After successful submission of the Application form candidates are to read the instructions on conduct of SSB and also print at the Application form with the system generated application number from the download section on the status bar.

(d) Print two copies of the online Application Form having the system generated Application Number. One copy of this Application Form is to be duly signed and mailed (posted) to Post Box No. 02, Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi -110 023 along with the following documents:- Self attested photograph, Attested photo copies of 10th & 12th class certificates along with Mark Sheets, other educational certificates and mark sheets of all semesters / years. Application to be sent by Ordinary Post only.

10+2 Cadet (B Tech) Entry Scheme 2012


The Indian Navy has invited applications from unmarried male candidates for admission to the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala under 10+2 Cadet (B Tech) Entry Scheme, (Permanent Commission) course commencing in June 2012.

Eligibility:
Applicant should be of age 17 to 19½ years [born between 2nd January 1993 & 1st July 1995 (both dates inclusive)] and should have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent from University/Board with at least 70 % aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Applicant should have minimum height of 157 cms with correlated weight as per age. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses and should not be colour / night blind. There will be no relaxation in physical standards.

Application:

Online application or ‘e-application', can be submitted till 26th November 2011.


Before proceeding to fill the application online, applicant must keep the relevant documents readily available to enable correct filling up of personal particulars as given in the Matriculation Certificate and also fields such as e-mail address, mobile number which are mandatory fields to be filled.

At the site, the applicant should click on ‘Officer Entry’ button under the option 'Apply Online' on the Home Page and then fill the online registration form. Tips to assist in filling up fields will be provided when each field is highlighted. Before clicking the ‘submit’ button it should be checked whether all the details entered in the form are correct since the applicant will not be able to make any corrections after saving the record. After submitting the form, a 'Roll Number' will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. This Roll Number will automatically appear on the print out of the form also, to be taken subsequently. If the system does not generate the Roll Number, it is an indication of non-acceptance of Application by the system. Applicant should print two copies of the online Application Form having the system generated Roll Number. One copy of this Application Form is to be duly signed and posted to ‘Post Box No. 04, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi-110 021’ along with Self attested photograph, Attested photo copies of 10th & 12th class certificates, Mark Sheets, other educational certificates and mark sheets of all semester/years, so as to reach there latest by 6th December, 2011. Application and requisite enclosures properly tagged/stapled, must be sent by normal post only. Application received by Speed Post/Courier/Registered Post will not be accepted. The envelope in which the application is sent should be super-scribed, ‘ONLINE ROLL NO ..... APPLICATION FOR 10+2 CADET (B TECH) ENTRY SCHEME - JUN 2012 COURSE Qualification PCM Percentage ....%’.

Filling the application online/generation of Roll No. does not does not complete the application submission process. Final receipt of the printout of the online Application Form with system generated Roll Number and all documents as mentioned if received by 6th December, 2011, will be the final ‘CONFIRMATION’ of receipt of the Application at IHQ MoD (Navy).

Application is subject to subsequent scrutiny and the application can be rejected, if found INELIGIBLE at any point of time.

Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be issued call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews based on their Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics marks in 10+2/equivalent Examination. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) reserves the right to short-list applications and to fix cut off percentage. No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore / Bhopal / Coimbatore during February to May 2012.

Stage I test, consisting of Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Discussion Tests will be conducted on the second day of arrival at SSB. Candidate who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II Tests comprising of Psychological Testing, Group Testing and Interview will last for 4 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical examination which may extent to approximately 3 to 5 days. Those recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be appointed for training in order of All India Merit depending on the number of vacancies.

Change of SSB venue for interview is not permissible. Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates should be addressed to the President of the concerned SSB on receipt of call up letter and Directorate of Manpower Planning & Recruitment (OI&R), Room No 204, ‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhawan, IHQ-MoD (N), New Delhi-110 011. Award of fresh dates for SSB would be given by the President SSB subject to availability. No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of tests. Return 3rd AC rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for this entry.

Training:
The training is scheduled to commence in June 2012. Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for four year B Tech course in Electronics & Communication or Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala Kerala. During the course, Cadets will be allotted Executive, Engineering including Naval Architect specialisation and Electrical Branch. On completion of the course, B Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. The cadets will also be provided with free clothing and messing. On successful completion of training candidates will be commissioned as Sub Lieutenant. The promotion from Sub Lieutenant to Commander is on time scale basis and thereafter on selection basis subject to fulfillment of requisite service conditions.

Indian Navy has invited applications from unmarried male candidates under the 10+2 Cadet (B Tech) Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) Course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala Commencing in January 2012.

Applicant should be 17 to 19½ years of age (born between 2nd July 1992 & 1st January 1995, both dates inclusive) and should have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent from University/Board with at least 70 % aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Physical Standards: Applicant should have a minimum height of 157 cms with correlated weight as per age. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision is 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Applicant should not be colour/night blind. There will be no relaxation in physical standards.

Applications can be submitted on a single A4 size paper as per format available in website www.nausena-bharti.nic.in . Only printed forms will be accepted. Application form is to be filled in English only in block capitals. Applicant should Strike out whatever is not applicable.

Filled applications, accompanied by attested copies of 10th Standard Certificate for verification of date of birth and other educational certificates, Marks statements of class Xth and XIIth with the application and enclosures properly tagged by thread/stapled, should reach POST BAG NO. 4, Nirman Bhawan , New Delhi-110011, latest by 28th June 2011. Application sent by Speed Post/Regd Post/Courier will not be accepted.

The envelope containing the form should be with superscription ‘10+2 CADET (B TECH) ENTRY SCHEME-JAN 2012 COURSE, Educational Qualification .................. Percentage ...............% in PCM’.
Application not in the format available at http://www.nausena-bharti.nic.in will be rejected. Candidates submitting more than one application will be disqualified.

SELECTION PROCEDURE: The candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews based on their PCM marks in 10+2/equivalent Examination. SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled during July to November 2011 at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore. The total duration of SSB interviews is 5 days, consisting Stage I (Day one) and Stage II (Four days). Stage I Tests consist of Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Discussion Tests (PPDT). Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day from SSB centre. Stage II Tests consist of Psychological Tests, Group Task Tests, Group discussion and Interview. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination at nearest military hospital. This will take 4 to 5 days. Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be appointed for training in order of all India merit depending on the number of vacancies.

Change of SSB centre for interview is not permissible. Candidates who wish to change their SSB dates must apply to the call up officer of the SSB. Award of fresh dates for SSB would be subject to availability at respective SSB. No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of tests. Return 2nd Class Sleeper rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for the entry.
