Applications are invited by Principal Investigator, BRNS Research Project, Department of Botany, Karnatak University, Dharwad - 580 003 for the Junior Research fellowship (temporary post) in a research project entitled 'Influence of gamma irradiation on pollen viability, germinability, fruit set, seed set and induction of parthenogenetic plants in Cucumis melo' in Department of Atomic Energy (DAE)-Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) funded research project

Qualification: MSc in Botany/Biological Sciences with at least 55% marks. NET/SET students are preferred.

Fellowship: Rs. 16,000 per month for JRF (as per the DAE-BRNS rules).

Duration: Two years

Walk in Interview for Junior Research Fellowship

Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), is conducting Walk-in-interview for the Project Junior Research Fellowship in:

(i) DBT Project GAP0372 under ‘R&D in Bioinformatics’ titled: “Study of some important signaling and metabolic pathways in T-cell and glioma”.

(ii) DST Project GAP0304 titled: “Modelling spatiotemporal distribution of host-parasite populations and disease spread”
Essential Qualifications:MSc in Mathematics/ Statistics / Physics. OR MSc/MTech in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology with Physics / Mathematics / Statistics as major in Undergraduate levelOR BTech in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology with sound knowledge of Physics, Mathematics, and Statistics.

Maximum age as on 10.10.2011 should be 28 years (age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/ Women candidates as per GOI instructions)
