Applications have been invited by Kuvempu University, Vishwavidyanilaya Karyalaya, Kuvempu Centenary Building, Jnana Sahyadri, Shankaraghatta - 577 451, Shimoga Dist, in the prescribed proforma from the eligible candidates for enrollment to Ph.D. (Full time and Part time) programmes in various disciplines, during Academic Year 2014-15.

Conditions of Eligibility:

1. Candidates who have secured at least 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/Cat-1 candidates) or equivalent grade under grading system, in their Master's Degree or equivalent examination from the recognized Universities/Institutions

2. Candidates who are in the final semester and are taking the final examination are also eligible to apply. However , such candidates should furnish successful course completion details at the time of interview

The following are eligible for EXEMPTION from the ENTRANCE TEST:

a) Foreign and sponsored Candidates,

b) Teachers on FIP/QIP,

c) Candidates who have passed the M.Phil/NET for research fellowship (UGC/UGC-CSIR National Eligibility Test for Junior Research Fellowship) GATE/GRE, and

d) JRF and Project Fellows (Who are selected through a defined process in any research project sanctioned and funded to any teacher of the concerned P.G. Department by UGC or by any agency of the State or Central Government or that of foreign countries),

e) those who have completed the eligibility test for Lectureship through the accredited State or National Agency, and

f) those who practicing /sponsored charted accountants

Applications:

The prescribed Application Form can be obtained in person or through Post (self addressed envelope with stamp of Rs.100/- to be sent along with Demand Draft ) from the office of the Deputy Registrar , Academic Section, Kuvempu University, Jnana Sahyadri, Shankaraghatta 577 451, on payment of the prescribed fee of Rs.800/- (in respect of SC/ST/Cat-1 Rs.600/- only - with a copy of proof of caste ) through a Demand Draft /Bank challen drawn in favour of the Finance officer, Kuvempu University , payable at SBM/SBI, Shankaraghatta 577 451.

The last date for submission of the application shall be 20-09-2014.

The application shall be sent to the Chairperson of the concerned Department at Shankaraghatta/Shimoga, along with the required documents.

The Application Forms can also be downloaded from the website www.kuvempu.ac.in  and shall be submitted to the Chairperson of the concerned Post Graduate Department along with the required documents and also with a Demand Draft of Rs. 800-00 (in respect of SC/ST/Cat-1 Rs.600/- only - with a copy of proof of caste ) drawn in favour of the Finance Officer.

Applications:

The fee prescribed for prospectus is Rs.250/-(Rs.150/- for SC / ST / Cat-1 on production of proof of category), for the first copy, and Rs. 50/- for additional applications. A candidate is permitted to obtain only two additional applications on payment of the prescribed fee.

Candidates seeking admission to MBFI, MSc Library & Information Science / MSW / MA (Journalism & Mass Communication), MBA / MCA / MSc (Clinical Psychology), MPEd & BPEd courses are required to enclose a DD of Rs.200-00 (general category) and Rs.100-00 (SC / ST / Cat-I), towards the conduct of entrance test, drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta.

Application forms and prospectus are issued from the following Centers up to 21-07-2014:
