Eligibility for Master’s Programme:
a) Candidate shall possess a Bachelor’s degree in the respective subject from recognized University / institute.
b) Candidate shall have 6.00/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for general category and 5.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates at bachelor’s degree level.
Eligibility for Doctoral Programme:
a) The candidates should possess Master's Degree in respective subjects allied subject by the University+ from recognized University / institute.
b) Candidate should have OGPA of 6.50/10 or equivalent percentage of marks for general category and 6.00/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for SC/ST/Cat-I/ candidates at Master’s degree level (as per ICAR).
Written Test:
Candidates seeking admission have to appear for a written test compulsorily in the concerned group for Master’s degree & concerned subject for Doctoral degree on the date and place mentioned below.

Reservation of seats: The seats shall be reserved in accordance with the existing reservation policy of Govt. of Karnataka. Provision is also made for admission on payment of institutional economic fees for Foreign National/ Children of NRI. One seat in each department for Masters & Doctoral degree notified above is reserved for candidates sponsored by GOK, GOI, State Veterinary / Agricultural Universities.
Application form and Prospectus: The application form along with the prospectus can be downloaded from the University website:

Application fee of Rs.600/- for General Candidates and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST/Cat-I, in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favor of The Comptroller, KVAFSU, Bidar has to be paid along with the application.
Date of up loading of application & prospectus on Univ. websites : by 18-08-2012
Date of PG written test at Univ. Head Quarter, Nandinagar, Bidar : 13-09-2012
The filled in applications duly completed in all respect along with requisite application
fee in the form of DD should be submitted to the “Registrar, KVAFSU, Nandinagar, PB No.-6, Bidar-585401” only to reach on or before 06-09-2012.
Late and incomplete applications will be rejected and the University will not be responsible for any type of postal delay. Refer prospectus for other details, the conditions and regulations prescribed there in are applicable.
