Saveetha University has invited applications for admission to MDS Courses in the following specialisations for the Year 2015 to be held at Saveetha Dental College and Hospital, Chennai -77

Branch I: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Branch II: Periodontics

Branch III: Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics

Branch IV: Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology

Branch V: Orthodontics

Branch VI: Prosthodontics

Branch VII: Oral Medicine and Radiology

Branch VIII: Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry

Branch IX: Public Health Dentistry

Eligibility:

A candidate for admission to the MDS course (Master of Dental Surgery) must possess a degree of BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) duly recognized by the Dental Council of India and should have obtained permanent registration from any of the state dental councils of India. Candidate not possessing a recognized dental qualification for the above purpose should secure the prior approval regarding qualification by the Dental Council of India before he/she can be admitted to the MDS course. The candidate for admission to MDS course should have completed his / her CRI (Compulsory Rotatory Internship) on or before 31st April 2015.

Admission Procedure:

The admission for MDS degree course is based on merit depending on the performance of the candidate. Prospective students should have appeared for the All-india UNi-Gauge® entrance examination to be eligible for admission into MDS at Saveetha University.

The candidate should apply to Saveetha University with UNi-Gauge® score

Based on the cumulative exam score, candidates will be invited for counselling and offered admission.

CAT Aptitude Test:

The students should present an abstract essay or prepare a video presentation that will be evaluated, by an external committee for their aptitude and the suitability for their program of choice.

Counseling:

The call letter for counseling will be sent individually to the eligible candidates. The selected candidates should appear for counseling on the said date and time. The counseling will be held on 05.03.2015 in Saveetha Dental College, 162, Poonamallee High Road, Chennai - 600 077.

Application for the Entrance Examination:

Applications can be obtained on payment of Rs. 1000 by cash (or) D.D. taken in favor of 'Saveetha University', payable at Chennai in person, (or) Rs.1050 by Post.

Applications can also be downloaded from the Website www.saveetha.com and the completed applications forms should be accompanied by DD for Rs.1000/- taken in favor of Saveetha University, payable at Chennai.

Completed Application forms should reach the Director of Admissions, Saveetha University, Chennai on or before 28.02.2015

Applications have been invited by NIMS University, Jaipur for admission to MD/MS/MDS Courses of Academic Year 2015-16 to its constituent colleges through Entrance Examination scheduled to be conducted on January 23, 2015.

COURSES:

NIMS Medical College, Jaipur:

 M.D. (Doctor of Medicine): Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, General Medicine, Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases, Paediatrics, DVL (Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy), Psychiatry*, Anaesthesiology and Radio-Diagnosis,.

* Subject to permission to be granted by Medical Council of India.

 M.S. (Master of Surgery): General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolarynology (E.N.T.) and Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBG).

NIMS Dental College, Jaipur:

 M.D.S. (Master of Dental Surgery): Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Prosthodontics & Crown & Bridge, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Oral Pathology & Microbiology, Periodontology, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, Oral Medicine & Radiology and Public Health Dentistry.

Eligibility:

MD/MS - The candidate must have passed the MBBS examination and should have completed satisfactorily one year of compulsory rotatory internship after passing the final MBBS Examination as per MCI rules and should have permanent/provisional registration with Medical Council of India/State Medical Council.

MDS - The candidate must have passed the BDS examination and should have completed satisfactorily compulsory rotatory internship as per DCI rules & regulation after passing the final BDS Examination as per DCI rules and should have permanent/provisional registration with Dental council of India/ State Dental Council

Information Brochure & Application Form:

a. Issue of Information Brochure and Application Form: The prospectus containing Application Form for entrance examination for admission for the academic year 2015-16 can be obtained from

 Nims University, Shobha Nagar (Jaipur-Delhi Highway), Jaipur-303121 (Rajasthan)

The Application Form and Prospectus can be obtained from above mentioned address during working hours in person by submitting the demand draft of Rs.3,000/- (Rupees Three Thousand only) drawn in favour of NIMS UNIVERSITY payable at JAIPUR. If the form is required by post, send a D.D. of Rs.3,200/- (Rupees Three Thousand Two Hundred only).

Application Form can also be downloaded from the website www.nimsuniversity.org and send the filled-in form along with requisite fee as mentioned above on the above mentioned address.

b. Submission of filled-in Application Form: Candidate shall fill-up the Application form in his / her own handwriting in capital letters (block letters) written neatly and legibly. The completed Application Form along with necessary enclosures/ documents must be sent by Speed Post or Registered Post or by hand to the address given above. For sending Admit Card the Applicant should send the self addressed envelope (provided along with Application Form) and paste a postage stamp on it equivalent to the cost of Speed Post.

c. Last date of Submission of Application Form: The last date of submission of duly filled in Application Form by the candidate is January 21, 2015 (5:00 PM).

Documents required at the time of submission of Application Form:

a. Photo copy of mark-sheet of final professional MBBS / BDS Examination.

b. 1. Those who have already completed their compulsory Rotatory Internship must submit a photocopy of completion certificate.

2. Those who are undergoing Rotatory Internship must submit a certificate from the Dean or Competent Authority indicating probable date of completion of Internship.

c. Photocopy of permanent/provisional registration from MCI / DCI or State Medical Council / State Dental Council.

All these should be attested by a Gazetted Officer and also self attested.
