NOTIFICATION FOR Ph.D ADMISSION
Applications for PhD admission in the Department of
Electronics and Communication Engineering under
Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT in
2014-2015 are invited (Full-Time / Part-Time) in association with Media Lab
Asia, a company floated by DeitY, Ministry of Communication and Information
Technology, Govt. of India. The broad areas of research would be Sensing
Technique (CMOS) and Sensor Networks; High Speed Behavioral Modeling of Analog
and Mixed signal Systems; Ultra Low Power Data Converters; Ultra Low Power
Architectures: System and System on Chips.
Last date for receipt of application forms along with
relevant research proposal, requisite fee and enclosure is 1/10/2014.

Qualification(s):
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Engineering or
Technology in the relevant discipline with a minimum 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks in
both Bachelor's and Master's levels from recognized Technical Institute or
University. [Minimum 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks for SC/ST candidates]
Only those Candidates will be considered for Ph.D.
program.
M. Tech /M.S/ME programs from reputed
Institutes/Universities with GATE qualified.
OR
B. Tech. with a CGPA of above 9.0 from reputed
institution (NIT/IIT) also may be considered.
How to apply for admission to Ph.D. programme:
The application form and other relevant information
for admission to Ph.D. program may be downloaded from the link:
Applications form, duly filled in, must contain a
crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- for General / OBC and Rs. 200/- for SC / ST
candidates. The DD should be drawn in favour of DIRECTOR NIT GOA payable at
Corporation Bank, Farmagudi Branch (Code: 1328 ) and should reach The Assistant
Registrar, National Institute of Technology Goa, Farmagudi, Ponda-403-401, Goa-
India on or before 1/10/2014
The following documents (whichever applicable)
arranged in the order given below should be enclosed along with the duly filled
application:
i) Three recent passport size photographs of the
candidate attested by Gazetted Officer / Principal of the College /Head of the
Institute last attended.
ii) Self-attested copy of GATE score fellowship.
iii) Self-attested copy of marks-sheet & degree
certificates of the qualifying examinations
iv) Self-attested copy of provisional certificate
of the qualifying examination.
v) Self-attested copy of under-graduate degree
certificate and marks-sheets.
vi) Self-attested copy of certificate of
matriculation/ Xth class as the proof of age of the candidate.
vii) Self-attested copy of Caste Certificate in
case of SC/ST candidates from the competent authority (not below the rank of
SDO/SDM/DC/DM/Tahsildar)
viii) Self-attested copy of caste certificate in
case of OBC candidate from competent authority (not below the rank of
SDO/SDM/DC/DM/Tahsildar) indicating the status regarding creamy layer for the
financial year mending 31st March 2014.
ix) Self-attested copy of Experience Certificate
x) Research Proposal of 1000 words should be
attached with the application form.
xi) No-Objection-Certificate duly signed by the
HOD/HOS in case of sponsored candidates from industry/state government
employee.
xii) Self-attested copy of credentials including
AICTE recognized short-term courses attended, research publications,
professional qualifications etc.
xiii) Demand draft towards application fee as per
category for the candidate i.e. Rs. 500/- for General / OBC and Rs.200/- for SC
/ ST candidates.
