SKILL TRAINING TO PERSONS WITH
MENTAL RETARDATION
National
Institute for the Mentally Handicapped invites applications in the prescribed
format from persons with mental retardation, for undergoing skill training at
NIMH, Secunderabad and its Regional Centers at Noida, Navi Mumbai and Kolkota.
Skill training at Navi Mumbai will be offered on non residential basis.
Eligibility
& General Conditions:
1. Persons
with Mental Retardation who are not less than 18 years and not more than 59
years having undergone generic skill training and attain the score of 80% &
above on NIMH-VAPS are eligible for the programme.
2. Skill
training for first batch will begin from 01.02.2016. Persons desirous to join the first
oatch should submit their applications latest by 15.01.2016. However, applications will
be -eceived on rolling basis which shall be considered for next batch subject
to eligibiity.
3. There
is a provision for stipend & transport allowance to the trainees as per
governemnt approved norms.
Persons
interested for undergoing training may contact the following coordinators
closer to their locations and submit their applications.
Further, proposals from
VRC’s, NSIC’s & NGO’s are invited to act as Training Partners in skill
training of persons with mental retardation. The agenecies should be working in
the area of vocaitonal rehabilitation of persons with mental retardation. The
proposal in the prescribed format as per the guidelines of Scheme of Financial
Assitance for Skill Training of Persons with Disabilities(2015-16) DoEPwD,
MSJ&E, Govt.of India has to reach NIMH latest by 15.01.2016. For further
