Eligibility Conditions:

A. M.Ed. (Regular) 1 year course

i) Eligibility for Entrance Test is 55% in B.Ed. (50% in case of SC/ST & BC candidates).

ii) Qualifying marks for Entrance Test are 20% (15% in case of SC/ST, BC and blind candidates)

Note: The candidates who have passed/appeared in the qualifying examination from any of the following universities (declared as fake by the UGC) are ineligible to appear in the Entrance Tests, as these institutions have been derecognized by the Panjab University. (This list will be updated as per the list displayed on U.G.C. website from time-to-time).

Registration:

ONLINE registration can be done at http://medadmissions.puchd.ac.in/registration.php

Download and print bank fee deposit slip during the Online registration process. Deposit fees with that bank slip at any branch of State Bank of India. The fee to be deposited is Rs. 990/- for SC/ST and Rs. 1980/- for others.

The Entrance Test will be held only in CHANDIGARH on Saturday, 27th June, 2015 from 11 a.m.

Scheme of Test

M. Ed. Entrance Test will be of 1 hour 30 minutes duration and shall comprise of 75 questions of one mark each. The test shall contain objective type questions. Each question shall have four choices labeled as A, B, C and D. The candidate shall have to select one best response and darken the bubble bearing it on the OMR answer sheet. There shall be NEGATIVE MARKING FOR WRONG ANSWERS. If for each correct answer 1 mark is to be awarded, for a wrong answer 1/4 mark will be deducted.

The test shall be based on the course curricula of the following papers in B.Ed. of the Panjab University:- 1. Philosophical and Sociological Basis of Education

The fees can be deposited by following methods.
1. Deposit fee at the University Extension Counter (State Bank of India), Administrative Block, Panjab University Sector 14, Chandigarh and obtain a receipt for the same and attach it with Enrolment Form.
2. The candidates can send their fee through Bank Draft. The Bank Draft should be made in favour of Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The Draft should be drawn on State Bank of India, Sector 14, Chandigarh.
3. A candidate can deposit the fee at any of the branches of the State Bank of India under the scheme of Power Jyoti Module of State Bank of India, Sector 14, Chandigarh.
4. The candidate can download the form and pay in slip from any internet terminal and deposit the fee in the nearest SBI Bank.
5. The students can also deposit the fee through internet banking.

Applications have been invited by Panjab University, Chandigarh for admission to the self-financed courses B.Sc.(Hons. School) and M.Sc. (Hons.School) in Physics and Electronics for the academic session 2011-2012.

(i) B.Sc. (Hons. School) in Physics and Electronics (Seats: 23 + 3 NRI):
The merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the 10+2 examination (science stream with Physics) to which marks obtained in Physics subject will be added again. The CET marks will not be considered for this course.
Interview date for B.Sc. (H.S.) will be intimated later through the Panjab University website only which the candidates are advised to visit. At the time of interview, the candidates must bring the testimonials in original for reservations/weightages to be claimed by them.
The course fee will be Rs. 15,000/- per semester plus Rs. 10,000 as Lab. Charges (annual). For NRI candidates, the annual fee will be US $ 2100 plus Rs. 10,000 as Lab. Charges.

(ii) M.Sc. (Hons. School) in Physics and Electronics (Seats: 23+3NRI)
The students after passing B.Sc. (H.S.) in Physics and Electronics will be eligible for admission to M.Sc. (H.S.) in Physics and Electronics without taking entrance test.
The merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the B.Sc. examination (Non-medical) /B.Sc.(H.S.) in Physics.
The course fee will be Rs. 20,000/- per semester + Rs. 15,000/- as Lab. Charges (annual). For NRI candidates, the annual fee will be US $ 2100 + Rs. 15,000 as Lab. Charges.
