TNPPCA Paramedical Admissions 2011-2012

Applications have been invited by Tamilnadu Private Professional Colleges Association - Health Sciences, for admission to Indian System of Medicine / Paramedical courses (Management Quota) of Year 2011-12 in unaided Private Colleges in Tamil Nadu.

Courses:
a. Homoeopathy (BHMS)
b. Siddha (BSMS)
c. Ayurveda (BAMS)
d. Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS)
e. Pharmacy (BPharm)
f. Nursing (BSc Nursing)
g. Physiotherapy (BPT)
h. Occupational Therapy (BOT)

Educational Qualifications:
i. Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) conducted by the Tamilnadu State Board or any other equivalent examination with following group of subjects.
(a) Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology or
(b) Physics, Chemistry, Biology
ii. Candidates who have passed any other equivalent examinations with same group of subjects should submit an Eligibility Certificate obtained from the Tamilnadu
Dr. MGR Medical University before admission to any institution for the course of their choice.

Age Limit:
For BSc (Nursing) Course:
Candidates should have completed 17 years of age and maximum age is 30 years as on 31st December 2011. For SC / SCA / ST candidates maximum age is raised to 35 years.
For all other courses: Should have completed the age of Seventeen years on or before 31st December 2011.

Eligibility:
Academic Qualification required for admission to the above courses can be availed in detail from the website: http://pgimer.nic.in
Age limits: Not more than 25 years and less than 17 years on 31st August, 2011 (i.e . those who born before 1st Se ptember, 1986 and after 31st Aug ust, 1994) are not eligible .

Application:
The candidates may apply in the form downloadable (for courses Sr. No. 1 to 7) at website http://pgimer.nic.in (link: http://pgimer.nic.in/code/pdf/ApplicationFormPara2011.pdf ) together with requisite fee by Demand Draft in the name of Director, PGI, Chandigarh.

The prescribed application forms along with prospectus (brochure of information) are also available from the office of the undersigned either personally on payment of Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC/OPH category and Rs. 800/- for SC/ST at the counter (Kairon Block, Room No. 309) from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM and from 2.30 PM to 3.30 PM on all working days except Saturdays (On Saturdays, forms will be available from 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM) or by post for which the request must be accompanied with a self addressed thick envelope of size (24x15cm) bearing postage stamps of Rs. 70/- and Bank Draft preferably from SBI Branch payable at SBI Medical Institute Bra nch (Code No.1524), Chandigarh for General Rs. 1000/- and for SC/ST Rs. 800/- d rawn in favour of the Director of the Institute (A/C No. 65541). The candidate should mention category at the time of sending the Demand Draft.

Last date for submission of application is 18.06.2011 and Tentative Date for the entrance examination is 18.08.2011.
