Eligibility for PG Diploma in Yoga:

1. Graduate in any subject (including BPT and BPEd) with minimum 50% marks from any recognized University

2. Age limit for this course is 45 yrs (as on 01 September 2015).

Eligibility for Outreach Programme of Yoga for Health Wellbeing:

Open to male candidate only. Admission will be made after suitable medical screening

Filled up form should be sent to the Registrar along with a demand draft in favour of ‘Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University’ or cash if paid in person for Rs.300/- within 31 August 2015.

Applications invited by The Department of Physics at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University for admission to the full time MSc Programme in Physics of Academic Year 2015-16.

Eligibility:

Students who will be completing B.Sc. with Honours/Major in Physics during the current academic year or who have completed during the previous year, with at least 60% marks in the Honours/Major Subject (taking into consideration the marks obtained in the examinations conducted so far) from any university approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) are eligible to apply.

SC/ST candidates will enjoy 5% concession in the minimum eligibility of marks.

Entrance Examination:

The entrance examination will be held at the main campus of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University at Belur Math, Howrah 711202. Candidates will be examined in the following subjects in Physics: classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, thermodynamics, special relativity, mathematical methods and electrodynamics. The pattern of questions: short type to test conceptual clarity and/or simple problems.

List of candidates selected for the M.Sc. programme in Physics will be put up on the university website http://phy.rkmvu.ac.in/ in due time.

ELIGIBILITY:
The minimum requirements for the admission to the aforesaid programmes are as follows: (5% relaxation in percentage of marks for SC/ST candidates)

(i) For five year Integrated: 10+2 with science or Vocational Agriculture/ Horticulture from any recognised board with at least 50% marks both in 10th and 10+2. Students appearing for 12th Standard Examination may also apply with at least 50% marks both in 10th and 11th Standards.

(ii) For two year: BSc in Agriculture / Horticulture / Forestry / Agriculture & Rural Development with at least 50% marks.

Department of Physics, RKM Vivekananda University, Howrah has invited applications for admission to MSc (Physics) Course of Academic Year 2012-13.

Eligibility:
Students who will be completing BSc (Hons.) in Physics during the current year with at least 55% marks in the Hons. Subject (taking into consideration the marks obtained in the examinations conducted so far) from any university approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) will be eligible to apply. They will be required to submit their final marksheet and BSc Hons certificate while taking admission. SC/ST candidates will enjoy 5% concession in the minimum eligibility of marks.

Entrance Examination:
An applicant must choose either of the following dates to appear for entrance examination. Applicant must write below the first page of the application form, his/her chosen date for the entrance examination. The same applicant will not be allowed to appear for the entrance examination on both days.
* Option 1: SUNDAY, 4 MARCH 2012 from 12 noon to 2 pm
* Option 2: SUNDAY, 11 MARCH 2012 from 12 noon to 2 pm

The entrance examination will be held at the main campus of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University at Belur Math, Howrah 711202. Candidates will be examined in the following topics in Physics: classical, quantum and statistical mechanics, mathematical methods and electrodynamics. Based on the performance in the written test, candidates will be called for an interview at a later date.
