UG Admission Notification 2014-2015
Applications have been invited by the University of
Burdwan for admission to following courses through Entrance Examination:
B.B.A. (Hons.),
B.B.A. in Tourism & Hospitality (Hons.),
B.C.A. (Hons.)
B.Sc. in Bio-Chem.(Hons.),
B.Sc. in Bio-Tech.(Hons.)
General
Eligibility for appearing at the Entrance Examination(s):
i) The
candidates must be Indian National.
ii) Candidates must have appeared or passed the
Higher Secondary Examination of West Bengal Council / I.S.C. Examination /
C.B.S.E. Examination / Any other equivalent Examination each under (10+2)
system of studies in 2014 (or not earlier than 2011), as the case may be, with
English as one of the combination subjects. Candidates passed H.S. in the year
2011 or earlier are to apply to the Registrar, B.U. for Special Permission.
iii) For B.B.A. (Hons.) and B.B.A. in T&H
(Hons.)
Same as ii) above. Students of any stream (Science,
Arts, Commerce etc.) are eligible to apply.
iv) For
B.C.A. (Hons.)
Appeared / Passed H.S. (10+2) with any one the
following subjects:
Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science /
Computer Application / Business Economics & Mathematics (BEM) or Candidates
passed in (10+2) level with Vocational Engineering & Technology with pass
marks in Additional Mathematics.
v) For
B.Sc. in Bio-Chemistry (Hons.) & B.Sc. in Bio-Technology (Hons.)
Science candidates securing minimum 45% marks in
total in (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry & Bio-Science / Mathematics are
only eligible to apply.
vi) Arts / Science / Commerce graduates passing the
respective degree examination (not earlier than 2011) may also apply for being
considered against very limited number of seat(s).
Application Form and Admit Card:
i) Prescribed Application Forms will be available
on till 19th June, 2014 from Rajbati Sales Counter, Burdwan University on all
working days (Mon - Fri) 11a.m. to 2p.m. and also from the colleges / institutions
where the courses are taught on payment of Rs.300/- only
ii) Forms will also be available from website :
www.buruniv.ac.in. In that case, a demand draft for Rs. 300/- drawn in favour
of Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan, P.O. Rajbati, Dist. Burdwan is
to be submitted along with the Application Form.
iii) The last date of submission of duly filled in
application form is 19th June, 2014 (Thursday).
iv) Application form should be filled in and signed
by the candidate in English only.
v) The filled in application form is to be
submitted at the office of the Inspector of Colleges, Rajbati, Burdwan or at
the College / Institution wherefrom the forms of the said course(s) were
obtained.

Burdwan.
