Eligibility

Eligibility for Admission

The minimum requirement of marks for admission to the B.Ed Degree Course is 50% for Part III or 50% in aggregate (Part 1+1I+III together) in Bachelor's Degree (Science/Arts subjects) or 50% marks in Post graduation in the concerned subject. For B.Ed Commerce optional 50% marks for M.Com Degree is needed.

Age

There is no upper age limit for admission to the B.Ed course.

How to Apply

Candidates who seek admission for the B.Ed course should submit application directly to the college of their option. Application forms shall be obtained from the colleges concerned. Separate application and payin-slip/ DD are necessary for applying in different colleges.

Applications have been invited by Department of Computer Science / Optoelectronics / Future Studies, University of Kerala for admission to following MTech courses of Academic Year 2015-16.

(1) MTech in Technology Management

(2) MTech Computer Science (with Specialization in Digital Image Computing)

Eligibility for Admission

(1) MTech in Technology Management:

BTech Degree or equivalent in any branch of Engineering / Technology with at least 55% marks from any of the recognized Universities in India.

Admissions to non-sponsored seats will be made on the basis of valid GATE score.

Admissions to sponsored seats will be governed by the following AICTE guidelines. The candidates should have:

(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology with at least 55% marks from AICTE approved institutions. Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified GATE.

(ii) A minimum two-years of full time work experience in a registered firm / company / industry / educational and research institution / any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field.

(iii) Less than 45 years of age as on 1st day of the year of admission.

(2) MTech Computer Science (with Specialization in Digital Image Computing):

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology with at least 55% marks in one of the following branches: Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering from the University of Kerala or equivalent recognized degree of a recognized University.

OR

First Class Master’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Application from the University of Kerala or equivalent recognized degree of a recognized University.

(3) Electronics and Communication (Optoelectronics and Optical Communication):

At least a second class BE / BTech or equivalent degree with 55% marks in Electronics / Electrical and Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering, Applied Electronics and Instrumentation or M.Sc. Degree in Physics / Applied Physics / Electronic Science or Electronics of the University of Kerala or equivalent. Minimum marks in the qualifying examination for the SC / ST candidates are 50%.

Application can be obtained from the concerned Head of the Department by producing a DD for Rs. 510/- from SBT / SBI / District Co-operative Banks drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Kerala OR a University Chalan for Rs. 500/-. Applications have been invited for admission to the Part-time Evening Course (8 months) for the Post-Graduate Diploma in English for Communication (2015-2016) offered at the Institute of English, University of Kerala, Senate House Campus, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram scheduled to be commenced on 3 August 2015. 

The course is particularly meant for those who wish to improve their competence in communicating effectively in the English language.  The minimum eligibility for admission to the course is a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University. 

A chalan for Rs. 20/- may be remitted at the Kerala University Cash Counter for the application form, which is available at the office of the Institute of English. The selection to the course will be on the basis of an Entrance Examination to be held at 10.30 am on 30 June 2015 at the Institute of English, University of Kerala.

Applications in plain paper with complete address and phone number are invited from regular students of Engineering Colleges within the State of Kerala who have completed 1st and 2nd Semesters B.Tech & B.Arch Degree Courses and are eligible for promotion to the Third Semester class, for transfer to the 3rd Semester in the Engineering Colleges affiliated to Kerala University during the year 2015-16.

Transfer will be affected only between the institutions of identical category and fee structure. The category of seats and tuition fees should be clearly specified in the application form. Those who get transferred shall clear the I and II Semester Examination in the parent University itself. Besides, they shall pass the additional papers/subjects, if any, as may be fixed by this University, with reference to the Scheme and Syllabus of this University.

Application along with the attested copy of the Rank Certificate at the Entrance Examination 2014, conducted by the Commissionerate of Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala, attested copy of Hall tickets for the S1 & S2 B.Tech/B.Arch Degree Examinations and in the case of SC/ST students, a Certificate from the competent authority to prove that he/she belongs to the SC/ST Community should reach the Registrar, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram-695 034 on or before 28/05/2015.
