MBA (Health Care Management) Admissions 2009-2010

 

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, Road No. 46, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad-500033, in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals Educational & Research Foundation (AHERF), Apollo Health City, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad-500033 is launching an MBA (Health Care Management) Programme for the academic year 2009-10. The course duration is 2 years, spread over 4 semesters of Theory & Practical.

Any Graduate (Medical /Non Medical other than Oriental Languages and Fine Arts), from a recognized University with 50% marks, relaxable by 5% in respect of SC/ST applicants, can apply.

Applicants have to appear for an entrance test to be held from 10 am to 11.30 am on 22.6.2009 at AHERF Building, Opposite Food Court, Apollo Health City, JubileeHills, Hyderabad-500 033, and for the Group Discussion and Personal interview to be conducted by the University on 23.6.2009.

The test of 90 minutes duration and carrying a maximum of 100 marks will have five sections (Test of Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English Comprehension & Usage, Health & Hospital Knowledge and Business Knowledge) each section having 20 questions, carrying 20 marks. Those from other states are also eligible to apply. Reservation will be as per University norms. 20% of the seats are reserved for Sponsored and NRI candidates.

NRIs for admissions to B.Tech/B.Arch Course 2009-2010

 

National Institute of Technology Calicut, NIT Campus PO, Kozhikode, Kerala- 673 601, has invited applications from Dependants of NRIs for admissions to B.Tech/B.Arch Programmes for the session 2009-10.

Admission is offered only to sons/daughters of NRIs. Applicant in this category should have passed the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent qualifying examination, given in Annexure I of the Prospectus available at http://www.nitc.ac.in/ and should be eligible for Central Counselling of the Central Counselling Board as per the results of the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE--2009).

For admission to B.Tech, applicant should have studied Physics & Mathematics (compulsory) with one among Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology at the qualifying examination. For admission to B.Arch, applicant should have studied Mathematics as a subject at Plus Two and should have passed 10+2 level examination with 50% marks in aggregate.

Maximum age for admission is 25 years as on October 1, 2009. For applicants of SC/ST/PH categories, upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years. Maximum age for them will be 30 years as on October 1, 2009. There are 5 seats each in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, 2 in Chemical Engineering, 1 each in Production Engineering, Biotechnology and B.Arch, under NRI category.

Application has to be submitted online by clicking here . After submission of the details, a print out of the online application has to be taken. A passport size photograph taken not earlier than 3 months from the date of notification is to be affixed on the Application Form. The photo in the application should be self attested. (Eight more copies of the same photograph and one stamp size photograph should be produced at the time of Counselling/Admission).

The following documents should be enclosed with the print out of the online application form:

(i) Attested copy of proof of date of birth
(ii) Attested copy of the mark lists and pass certificate of the qualifying examination, if available
(iii) Course and Conduct certificate from the Head of the institution last attended
(iv) Attested copy of AIEEE-2009 Admit Card.
(v) Attested copy of NRI certificate, format of which is available in Appendix III of the Prospectus
(vi) Demand Draft for Rs.2000/- drawn in favour of 'Director, NIT Calicut', payable at State Bank of India, NIT Calicut Branch (Code No: 2207) towards Registration fee.

The attestation on the documents is to be done by a Govt. Gazetted Officer or Head of the Institution where the candidate has studied for the qualifying examination.

The print out of the online application form with the enclosures specified should reach 'Chairperson-UG Admissions, National Institute of Technology Calicut, N.I.T.Campus P.O., Kozhikode, Kerala-673 601', by Registered Post/Speed Post latest by 29.05.2009. 

Admission will be based on the Rank obtained in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE-2009), conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.

The counselling/admission will be tentatively in July 2009. The date of counselling/admission will be notified at www.nitc.ac.in. The eligibility for counselling/admission and call letter for counselling should be downloaded from the website after login, using Application number and date of birth. No separate call letter will be despatched to applicants in this regard. Applicant will have to produce the original certificates and other documents at the time of counselling.

Those offered admission will have to remit the fees on the day of counselling failing which the offer shall be withdrawn forthwith. Tuition Fee (for 2 Semesters) is US$ 4000 (US $2000 for SAARC). Details of fee payable are given in the Prospectus.

Admission will be made by the Director of CAPE through a centralised process on the basis of merit arrived at with reference to the marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying examination. Interview memos will be sent to eligible candidates, under certificate of posting. Candidates are required to attend the interview accompanied by parent/guardian and shall produce all the original certificates/documents for verification at the time of Interview.

A candidate who does not turn up for the interview as per schedule, at the place and time specified will forfeit his/her chance for admission, and will not be considered for admission to any future vacancies.

Selected candidates are required to remit the prescribed fees and deposit at the time of admission as Demand Draft in favour of the Director, CAPE payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Fees once paid will not be refunded. However those candidates who get admission in Government Colleges and in Government quota seats in Government-aided colleges will be refunded the fees after deducting an amount towards admission and processing fee as per the rates fixed by CAPE.

Karnataka PGCET Cell has notified the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for admission to MBA and MCA Courses for the year 2009-10.

PGCET is being conducted under the supervision of Central Post Graduate Admission Committee (CPAC) for determining the merit of both Karnataka and Non-Karnataka Candidates for admission to the First year, First Semester of Full-Time (FT) (2 years) and Part-Time (PT) (3 years) Master of Business Administration (MBA), Full-Time (2 years) MBA (Infrastructure Management) and Full-Time (3 years) Master of Computer

Applications (MCA) courses, in University Departments and Institutions affiliated to Bangalore, Gulbarga, Karnatak, Kuvempu, Mangalore, Mysore, Tumku Universities, Karnataka State Women's University and Visvesvaraya Technological University, within the State of Karnataka. Non-Karnataka candidates appearing for PGCET-2009 are eligible only for those seats available against Management quota of Private Professional Institutions that have surrendered their quota of seats to CPAC.

For admission to MBA (FT/PT), applicant should have Bachelor Degree with not less than 50% [45% for SC/ST/Category I) marks in aggregate of all years of Degree examinations.

Those applying for Part-Time MBA must have worked for not less than 3 years, after the qualifying examination (Experience considered up to date of Notification) in an establishment and must be working in an organization within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission.

For admission to MBA-Infrastructure Management (FT) applicant should have passed Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Architecture with not less than 50% [45% for SC/ST/Category I) marks in aggregate of all years of the Degree examinations.

For admission to MCA (FT) applicant should have passed Bachelor Degree with not less than 50% [45% for SC/ST/Category I) marks in aggregate of all years of the Degree examinations with Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Computer Programming/Computer Applications/Business Mathematics/Business Statistics as one of the Optional/Elective at Degree Level. An applicant who has studied and passed one of the subjects specified in the first proviso in the Pre-University Course with 50 %/45% (as applicable) of marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission. Rounding-off of aggregate percent is not permitted.

The written test for MBA course will be conducted from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm and that for MCA course from 2 pm to 4 pm on 12-7-2009 (Sunday) at various centers as specified in Brochure supplied with the application form.

For both Karnataka & Non-Karnataka Students admission will be based solely on performance in written test (PGCET) and through counseling for seat selection as per merit.

Application can be obtained on payment of Rs. 600/- ( Rs 300/- in case of Karnataka SC/ ST and Cat-I, on production of documentary proof) in the form of DD only, drawn in favour of the Member Secretary, CPAC payable at Belgaum.
