The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, will be conducting the entrance test on 30.01.2011 for admission to Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma courses in Government Medical/Dental colleges and Government seats in Private Medical /Dental colleges of Karnataka for the academic year 2011-2012.

Eligibility:
Candidates who fulfill the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for the Entrance Test, namely:-
(a) He/She is a citizen of India.
(b) He/She must have studied and passed the courses leading to the award of MBBS/BDS Degrees in colleges recognized by Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India and Government of India established by law and located in Karnataka State; or
(c) Candidate must be of Karnataka origin who has studied MBBS/BDS degrees in colleges outside Karnataka recognized by Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India and Government of India and affiliated to any University established by law in India. Explanation:- 'Candidates of Karnataka origin' means who or his/her parents (father or mother) has been a resident of Karnataka State for a period of not less than ten years, and who produces a certificate from the Concerned Tahsildar to that effect in the prescribed form (Appendix VII).
(d) He/She has completed or is completing compulsory rotatory internship on or before 30th April of the year in which application for entrance test is called for subject to completion of internship course.
(e) Must be less than 45 years of age as on the date of admission to Postgraduate course.

Online registration starts on 22-11-2010 and ends on 31-12-2010.
Candidates have to pay the prescribed fee through Demand Draft in favour of 'Registrar, RGUHS, Bangalore'. as follows:
SC, ST and Category - I - Rs. 400/- (Rupees Four hundred only)
GM & Others - Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One thousand and five hundred only)

The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is a newly established institution of education, training & research in the National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India under the auspices of UNESCO. RCB is designed to be a centre of excellence in biotechnology with intimate contributions from the countries of the region and academic institutions from the rest of the world. It provides a meeting place where innovation, enterprise, and industrial development will germinate.

Applications are invited from post-graduate candidates who have obtained M Sc in any discipline of the sciences/ MBBS/ M Pharma/ M Tech/ MVSc, to work under the mentorship of its faculty as Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) leading to a PhD degree. Candidates should have intense interest to work at the interface of multiple disciplines in the areas related (but not limited) to structural, systems, and chemical biology, biomaterials and nano science & technology, cellular and molecular biology, and disease biology and drug discovery. The fellowship is initially tenable for the duration of two years, and is extendable for three additional years for Senior Research Fellowship after a review. The candidates who have completed their M Sc within past two years and have scored 60% or more marks in their graduate and post-graduate degree examinations are eligible to apply.

Indian Navy invites applications from unmarried male candidates for enrolment as a Sailors for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR).

Educational Qualifications: Passed 10+2/ equivalent examination with Maths & Physics and atleast one of these subjects;
Chemistry/Biology/Computer science

Age: Candidates should have been born between 01 Aug 1990 to 31 Jul 1994 (Both dates inclusive).

How To Apply
(a) Application Form: The application is to be submitted on A4 size white bond paper with one photocopy exactly as per the sample application which also available on website  www.nausena-bharti.nic.in . Candidates forwarding application on any other format and candidates who send more than one application for the same entry will be rejected
(b) Envelops: The type of entry, choice of centre and percentage of marks in 10+2 board examination is to be clearly written on top of the envelope containing the application. Envelopes should be of brown colour.

Example: SSR 02/2011 —MUMBAI - 68.7 % (10+2).

(c) List of Documents: The documents mentioned in the application form are to be punched and tied firmly with a strong thread to the application in the correct sequence.
(d) Photographs: Candidates are required to submit one additional recent coloured passport size photograph along with the application with their name and signature on the reverse of the photograph. THE BACKGROUND OF THE PHOTOGRAPH SHOULD BE BLUE. Application. received without photographs or not in the specified format will be rejected. Computer generated / digital photographs will not be accepted.

Selection Criteria: Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit depending on their performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examinations.

Written Test:
The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.

The question paper will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science,
Mathematics and General Knowledge.

The standard of the question paper will be that of 10+2 and the syllabus for the examination is available on internet site www.nausena-bharti.nic.in .

Duration of question paper will be one hour.

The candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

Medical Standards:
• Medical examination will be conducted by authorized military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.

Minimum height 157 cms. Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum Chest expansion of 5 cms.

Good mental, medical and physical health free from any disease / disability, likely to interfere with efficient performance of duties. Colour perception: CP II.

No Cardio- vascular disease, surgical deformities like  knock knee, flat feet etc. infection of ears, no history of fits or psychiatric ailment, varicose vein, corrective surgery for eye sight etc.

Medical standard should be as per the detailed guidelines issued by IHQ MoD (Navy) in NO (Spl) 01/2008.

Note:- Applicants declared Permanent medically unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital in previous recruitment for the same entry in Navy are advised not to apply.

Final Enrolment Medical Examination: All select list candidates who are issued with a call letter for Final Medical examination will have to undergo Final.

Enrolment Medical examination at INS Chilka prior to enrolment. Candidates found "unfit" during this medical examination will not be enrolled for training. No "appeal" is permitted for review after the final enrolment Medical Examination at INS Chilka.

ELIGIBILITY  

1. Minimum 17 years of age and maximum 23 years on or before 31st December 2011
2. Pass in 12th standard in the first attempt.
3. Must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology & English individually and have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in English and 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together, from any State Higher Secondary Board or equivalent.
