Eligibility :

Any candidate who has passed B.Sc.(Hons,) in Physics/Electronics or B.Sc.(minimum 2nd division) with 50% marks in Physics or degree/diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering from any recognized University/Institute with Biology at H.S. level will be eligible to apply. A total course fee of Rs. 25,000/- will be received in two installments

The eligible candidates will have to appear in a written examination of two hours duration to be held in this Department on Monday 12.12.11, (12:30 p.m to 2:30 pm). The list of successful candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Department on 20.12.2011. They will have to appear in an interview, the date of which will be notified on the Departmental Notice Board. The final selection for joining this programme will be on the basis of the interview and marks obtained in the exam.

Those candidates who have already passed UGC / NET / SET / SLET / M.Phill / Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations need not appear at the written examination and can directly apply to appear at the interview.

Applications are invited in the prescribed format for the award of “Nagamma Dattatreya Rao Desai Award(NDRD)” for an outstanding adaptive Agricultural Research for Agroclimatic Region of Karnataka during the year 2010-11.
The award will be presented on the occasion of Foundation Day of UAS, Bangalore, to be held on October 8th, 2011.

Eligibility:
The Award shall be conferred for an outstanding adaptive Agricultural Research for Agroclimatic Region of Karnataka of the University of Agricultural Sciences whose research or adoption of new technology thereof during five years preceding the date of this notification, contributing to enhanced agricultural production in the Region. Applicant must have attained a minimum age of 45 years and above at the time of notification.

The applicant fulfilling the eligibility criteria may submit seven copies of their bio-data and the statements about their work/ contribution (in the prescribed application form) indicating precisely the work carried out and its bearing on the agricultural production in the region/country.

Application form and Prospectus can be had from The Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar-608002 on requsition along with a DD drawn in favour of the Director, DDE, Annamalai University on any bank payable at Annamalainagar/ Chidambaram/ Chennai, mentioning clearly the name of the programme for which the application form is required. Cheques, Money, postal/ pay orders are not accepted.

Applications can also be had in person on cash payment from the Directorate of Distance Education, the study centres and information centres and information centers of the Directorate. All the study centres and inforation centres will reamin open on all days. Spot selection for admission to all programmes will be made at the Diectorate Distance Education and the following study centres of the Directorate.

The applications should be submitted along with the necessary originals certificates, (original certificate will be returned immediately after verification) one set of photo copies of certificates, DD for the prescribed fee and three copies of recent Passport size photographs.

The spot selection is provisional and subject confiration by the Director.

Completed appplications along with photo copies of certificates should be sent only to The Director, DDE, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar, Tamilnadu, Pin-608002.

In no case, completed applications hould be sent to the study centres.

All correspondences should be addressed to the Director only. 3% of seats reserved for differently abled persons.

Caution: the Directorate has no agents. Applications for admission received through tutorials or any other agencies will be summarily rejected.

Applications are advised to write the Directorate individually for application forms and admission.

SCHOLARSHIPS is available for SC/ST unemployed students if their paratents' annual income does not exceed Rs.2,000,000/- subject the rules and regulations.

Royal College of General Practitioners
The (UK) Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), which is the leading academic institution in UK for family medicine, and Apollo Hospitals Group have had an educational collaboration over many years, with RCGP jointly accrediting courses run by Apollo.

Two courses are currently on offer, each carefully tailored to the needs of family doctors in India. The first – the Diploma in Family Medicine – gives family doctors in India a chance to upgrade their knowledge and skills and attitudes through on line study followed by full time clinical attachments. Taught by Apollo staff, the course is quality assured by advisors from RCGP, who also act as external examiners during the final assessments. Successful candidates are then encouraged to study for the international exam for Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP[INT]).

The Diploma in Emergency Medicine is aimed particularly at doctors based in the community but who have a special interest, or extended role, in the provision of emergency medicine services. This course is also taught by Apollo staff but quality assured by RCGP.

Both courses offer GPs an opportunity to gain useful theoretical and practical experience and we look forward to ongoing collaboration with Apollo on these excellent programmes.
