Post Graduate Programme in Financial Markets is a one year full-time residential programme at NIFM to provide the best of learning environment and develop strong networking with future managers and  leaders in the industry.

Duration : 1 year, Full Time
Classroom Teaching - 10 Months (including 1 week International attachment)
(840 hours, 420 hours each from faculty by NSE & NIFM)
Internship / Project - 2 months
Skill Development - 200 Hours through market simulation internet based software from NSE i.e. NLT (NSE Learn to Trade)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
FOR PRIVATE PARTICIPANTS/CORPORATE EXECUTIVES
All participants must have completed Graduation or a degree equivalent with at least 50% in aggregate from an Indian University/Institutions recognised by Association of Indian Universities. Professional Qualifications like CA, CS, CWA, CFA, MBA, etc. would have an added advantage.
Note: Candidates in the final year of graduation may apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally only. Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit their mark sheet of having passed their bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification with at least 50 per cent marks. The deadline for submission of the mark sheet is December 31, 2013. Non-fulfillment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICERS
• Officers at middle/senior level working with the Central or State Governments, Public Enterprises and autonomous organizations belonging to State/Central Government.
Or
• Similar participants from foreign countries
• Minimum percentage of marks at graduation level should be 50%.
• Scoring higher percentages at higher levels such as post-graduation would not relax the minimum percentage requirement at graduation level.
• The upper age limit for all participants would be 50 years on the date of commencement of the programme.
• Sponsorship from the employer Government /organization.

PROGRAMME FEE
FOR PRIVATE PARTICIPANTS/CORPORATE EXECUTIVES
Rs`3,95,000/- for Indian participants. The Fees would be payable at NIFM, Faridabad/New Delhi.

Payment Options:
1. Lump sum payment - On registration ` Rs 20,000/- and balance of ` Rs 3,75,000/- on or st before 21 June 2013.
2. Installments Scheme 1 - On registration ` Rs 20,000/- and balance in 2 installments of st rd ` Rs 1,95,000/- each, 15 days before start of 1 and 3 quadmester.
3. Installments Scheme 2 - On registration ` Rs 20,000/- and balance in 4 installments of ` Rs 1,01,000/- each, 15 days before start of every quadmester.
Note: The Programme Fees includes International visit (Economy Class Air Fare and twin sharing accommodation), hostel stay at NIFM, cost of study material, examination & certification, skill development through NSE learn to trade software, tea/coffee during the Programme. The fees does not includes fare for domestic travel and accommodation charges to Mumbai,living expenses including expenses on laundry, food, personal transportation etc. which would be borne by the participants for entire duration of the programme. The expenses on power consumption of AC in the hostel room would borne by the candidates as per actual consumption.

FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICERS
Domestic Candidates:  The Programme fee for sponsored candidates from Central Government/State Governments/Union Territories is reimbursed to NIFM by the Government of India under Central Plan Scheme of the Ministry of Finance. The fee includes single-room accommodation in NIFM hostel, tuition fee, study material and institutional charges for various attachments including economy class air fare for international attachment.
The fee doesn’t include DSA and accommodation expenses during international attachment. The other expenses such as living expense, food expense, laundry, personal transportation, expenses on power consumption of AC in the hostel room etc. are borne by the participants for the entire duration of the Programme. The expenses on D.A., accommodation and transportation charges for the domestic attachment are borne by the sponsoring organizations. However, the expenses on food, and power consumption, wherever  applicable, may be reimbursed to the participants by their sponsoring organizations under SR 164.


Foreign Candidates:  The Programme fee is US$ 7,900. The fee shall be borne by the participant/sponsoring organization.
The fee includes single-room accommodation in NIFM hostel, tuition fee, study material and institutional charges for various attachments including economy class air fare for international attachment. The fee doesn’t include DSA and accommodation expenses during international attachment.The other expenses such as living expense, food expense, laundry, personal transportation, expenses on power consumption of AC in the hostel room etc. are borne by the participants for the entire duration of the Programme.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Candidates having valid CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT score:
The candidates who have valid CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT score are not required to appear for NIFM-NSE Online Test. They can send application in prescribed form which can be downloaded from the NSE/NIFM website. The completed application along with resume, proof of educational qualifications, work experience (if any),copy of your CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT score card and a Demand Draft of ` 900/- drawn in favour of National Institute of Financial Management; payable at New Delhi or Faridabad, be sent to National th Stock Exchange of India Ltd., 4 Floor, Jeevan Vihar Building, Parliament Street, New Delhi-110 001.

The envelop should be superscribed by “Application for PGP-FM”.

Alternatively, one can submit the application by paying ` 900/- in cash at National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.; New Delhi.

NIFM-NSE Online Test :
The candidates who do not have valid CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT score are required to appear for NIFM-NSE st st Online Test. The test will be conducted on 31 May and 01 June 2013 in 16 different cities: Ahmedabad, Bangaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochi, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna and Pune.For this they are required to register on the NSE website by following the procedure for online registration for NSE’s Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM) as per the steps given below:
1. Login to www.nseindia.com  and go to “Education” menu.
2. Click on “Register for NIFM-NSE Online Test”.
3. You will begin the process as “New User” and thereafter follow all the steps as required for registration as an NCFM candidate and set your “user id” and “password”.
4. You will receive NCFM ID via SMS, email, and also on the website.
5. You can now login with your user id and password.You can pay the fees of `Rs 900/-, book your st stseat for the NIFM-NSE online test, in any of the aforesaid 16 cities,on 31 May or 01 June 2013 subject to availability of seats on first come first served basis.
6. An online “hall ticket” for the NIFM-NSE Online Test will be generated for which you should
take the printout.
7. You need to carry this hall ticket along with id proof for appearing in the test.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
NIFM-NSE Online Objective Type Test will held on 31 May and 01 June 2013. It is not mandatory for those who have already taken CAT, MAT, XAT or CMAT. The online test will consist of Verbal Ability (30%), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (30%), Quantitative Aptitude (30%), General Knowledge of Financial Markets (10%). The online objective type test will be of 2 hours duration with negative marking.
The personal interview of shortlisted candidates will be held at NSE office in New Delhi. In order to save travel time and cost of outstation candidates, NIFM-NSE also conducts video interviews. As an outstation candidate you have the choice to come for personal interview or opt for video interview.

For Government Sponsored Officers
The government sponsored candidates are eligible for direct admission to full time Post Graduate
Programme in Financial Markets without undergoing online test and interview. Applications, complete th in all respects shall be received by 07 June 2013. Candidates shall be short listed by the Institute th and the short listed candidates/their sponsors would be intimated by 14 June 2013. All supporting documents/testimonials (matriculation certificate and relieving letter) in original shall be required at the time of final admission to the Programme.
Mere fulfilling the minimum eligibility qualifications by the candidate shall not bind NIFM for offering admission to a(ny) candidates to the Programme.
Decision of NIFM regarding admission of the candidates to the Programme shall be final and the selected candidates shall be required to join the Institute on 24 June, 2013.

Post Basic BSc Nursing:
A candidate seeking admission to Post Basic BSc Nursing  course:
Should have passed the Higher secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent to it with physics, chemistry and biology as optional and diploma in General nursing and Midwifery course of 3or 31/2 years duration approved by the INC with a minimum of 50% marks   aggregate.
Should have obtained registration with KNC and eligibility certificate for the candidates who have passed qualifying examination outside the state of Kerala.
The upper age limit for the course is 45 years
BSc Nursing:
Academic:
a. Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination  of the Board of  Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or equivalent examination recognized by any of the universities in the state of Kerala with 50% marks in Biology separately and 50% marks in physics, chemistry and biology put together are eligible for admission (for  SC / ST 40% marks)
b. Candidates who have passed BSc degree (3 years course) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany or Biochemistry as Main, and any one or two of the above subjects as subsidiaries, with 50% marks for Main and Subsidiaries taken together  subject to the condition that they have passed higher secondary examination, Kerala or examinations recognized as equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects are eligible for admission.
c. Eligibility certificate: Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from outside the state of Kerala shall produce the certificate of recognition and equivalency of qualifying examination from the Kerala University of Health and Allied Sciences, Thrissur. This should be furnished at the time of interview

Age:
1. Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December 2013. No relaxation of the minimum age will be allowed.
2. Self-attested copy of relevant page of school record namely SSLC / ICSE / CBSE certificate showing  date of birth / copy of birth certificate from appropriate authority should be furnished along with the application in proof of age.

General Information
4  University Examination shall be conducted ordinarily twice in a year ( one regular and  one supplementary examination every year).
4  Internal assessment through sessional exams, Seminars, Assignments, Projects, Clinical evaluation, Internal practical examination etc.
4  Candidates who have undergone the prescribed course of study for a period of not less than 10months of the academic year only can appear for the examination. A candidate who is absent for a total of more than 60 days  continuously by interrupted within a period of 3 months during an academic year shall not be eligible to continue the course with the same batch of students.
4  50% marks for the internal assessment is mandatory for appearing the University examination.
4  Candidates must secure 80% attendance in theory and practical in each subject in order to appear for the University examination.
4  100% attendance in clinical practice must be acquired before the award of the degree as per Indian Nursing Council / University guidelines.
4  Medium of instruction is in English. Students are expected to have proficiency in English language, verbal as well as written.
Selection and Admission
1.     Selection of the candidates for management seats  will be done among the candidates who have applied through the college, based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and in the interview held by the Management. 
2.     The Selected candidates will be informed of the date and time of admission
3.     The Students shall pay the fees of the first year of the course at the time of admission which will not be refunded under any circumstances.
4.     If any candidates discontinue the course after closing of admission, she/he has to pay the full fee of the remaining course (4years).T.C will be issued only after payments of the above amount

14. Physics:
A Master’s Degree in the concerned or an allied subject with a minimum of First Class (CPI or CGPA greater than 6.75 on a 10 point scale) at Bachelor’s or Master’s level. Desirable: GATE score.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The application form is available on Institute website www.vnit.ac.in.  The form, duly filled in by the candidate, along with xerox copies of the certificates and photograph duly attested and crossed DD/ Bankers Check of amount Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) towards processing fee drawn in favour of The Director, VNIT, Nagpur, payable at Nagpur, should be send it to Dy. Registrar (Academic), VNIT, South Ambazari Road, Nagpur-440 010 and must reach on or before the last date of submission of application form (clearly mention admission category and department on the envelop in bold letters). Incomplete applications and applications received after the last date are liable to be rejected.

All Candidates will be required to appear for written test to be conducted in the respective departments on the date specified in the information brochure. Further, the candidates shortlisted on the basis of performance in the written test shall be interviewed. The written test will be of  qualifying nature and the marks cutoff will be 50% to get qualified for appearing in interview.
Candidates will be required to appear for written test / interview at their own cost.
The interviews for the short listed candidates will be conducted in the concerned departments as per the schedule given in this brochure. The constitution of the interview committee will be as follows:
 1. HoD of the concerned department - Chairman
2. Dean(R&C) / Dean (Acd)/ Professor from other department - Director’s Nominee
3. All faculty members from the concerned department/ discipline who are recognized Ph.D.
supervisors– Members

The written test score will be appropriately factored in for deciding the relative merit.
The weightages will be as follows:
1. Written Test : 50%
2. Interview : 40%
3. GATE Score (Above qualifying marks in the respective categories) : 10%

The provisional list of selected candidates will be displayed on Institute’s website and no separate intimation will be sent to the candidates. Registration will be w.e.f. 1st July 2013.

Candidates shall report to Dy. Registrar (Academic) for admission alongwith DD of prescribed fees.

Candidate shall report to the concerned department for allotted Supervisors. Candidate in consultation with the supervisor shall identify the area of research and prepare a synopsis. The supervisor will propose a Research Progress Committee, (RPC) for Ph.D. programme. The R P C shall monitor the progress of Ph.D. work of the candidate.

Following shall be the composition of RPC.
Head of the Concerned Department – (Chairman)
Supervisor(s)
Expert from Department (nominated by supervisor & approved by HoD)
Expert from allied Department/ Discipline (nominated by supervisor & approved by HoD)

RPC shall recommend the courses to be undertaken by a candidate as per norms.

REQUIREMENT OF COURSE WORK
Requirement of course work for Ph.D.

Program Qualification Courses to be completed
Ph.D. M. Sc. / M.A. 24 credits
Ph.D. M. Sc. / M.A. with M. Phil. 12 credits
Ph.D. M.E. / M. Tech. / M. Arch. 12 credits
RPC may recommend more course work if feel necessary. In addition to above, candidate will be required to undergo course in Research Methodology (Audit Course). Candidate will be required to complete the course work within one / two years of joining the program by full time / part time scholars respectively.

MINIMUM DURATION OF PROGRAM
1. Ph.D. (Full time) - Three years
2. Ph.D. (Part time) - Four Years

VALIDITY OF REGISTRATION
The registration will be valid for a period of 6 years from the date of registration and no further extension will be granted under normal circumstances.

After 6 years, if a candidate wishes to continue research, he / she will be required to register again. A candidate should apply for re-registration before completion of 6 years of registration period. Failure to do so a candidate will be required to register again following the procedure for fresh candidates.

SPONSORED CANDIDATES SHOULD NOTE THAT :
1. No teaching assistantship will be paid to sponsored candidates.
2. Since it is a Full Time program, the candidate is required to be available for full time in the respective department for the entire duration of the program (i.e. minimum THREE YEARS from the date of registration).
3. The candidate must produce sponsorship certificate in the prescribed format given below by July 31, 2013.

Applications for admission to the Undergraduate Degree Programmes in Colleges affiliated to the University of Calicut, can be submitted online at www.uoc.ac.in/ugsw  from May 20, 2013.

Majority of the seats will be filled through the Centralised Ranking Process (CRP). All the seats in the Government Colleges, seats except the Community/Management seats in Aided Colleges, seats in the Self-financing institutions under the IHRD and the merit seats in the Self-financing Courses in Aided Colleges come under the purview of the CRP.

More details and the procedure for applying will be available at www.uoc.ac.in/ugsw   Application fee is RS.100/-. The fee will be Rs.50/- for SC/ST applicants. Applications can be submitted to a maximum of 10 colleges and to 3 courses in each college. The last date for submission of online application is June 3, 2013.

The seats that do not come under the purview of this selection process include all the seats in the Self-financing Colleges, Community/Management seats in Aided Colleges, the management seats in the Self-financing Courses in Aided Colleges and the Sports quota seats in all colleges.

Applications for these seats can be obtained from the office of the concerned college from May 20, 2013.
The filled application has to be submitted by June 3, 2013.
