Appointment of JRF under Partner Group Project jointly funded by Max Planck Institute, Germany and D.S.T., India

UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research, Indore (www.csr.ernet.in) invites applications for one JRF position under the Partner Group project jointly funded by Max Planck Institute, Germany and Department of Science and Technology, India.
Duration of the project is initially for a period of three years, extendable to five years and the selected students will be registered for Ph.D. The project involves investigation of the electronic structure of low dimensional systems (nano-wires, epitaxial thin films) using photoemission spectroscopy and related techniques. The work will be carried out in both Surface Physics Laboratory in UGC-DAE CSR, Indore as well as in Fritz Haber Institute, Berlin.
The emolument will be Rs. 12,000 p.m. + 15% HRA. Only UGC-CSIR NET or JEST qualified students who have passed MSc. in Physics with ≥55% marks not before 2006 will be considered. Students whose final MSc. results are awaited may also apply.
Selection will be done on the basis of an interview and academic background. If more than one deserving candidates are found, they may be considered for other positions in the institute.
