MBA in Rural Management (MRM)

Graduate in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education and having minimum 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA) at graduation can apply. The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned University/ Institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the University/ Institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100. Those who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 15th June, 2009 can also apply.

A candidate should have qualified in MAT, CAT or XAT for the current session and obtained a good score.

Selection Process

Candidates shall be short listed on the basis of CAT/ XAT/ MAT score for appearing in Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) at Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, New Delhi, Bangalore and Pune. The final selection shall be based on KIITEE Management/ XAT/ MAT score, career and performance in GD & PI.

The following documents are needed to be deposited at the time of admission:

Matriculation / Secondary Examination or equivalent Marks sheet and Certificate
Intermediate / Higher Secondary or equivalent Mark sheet and Certificate
Graduation Mark sheet and Certificate
College Leaving Certificate
Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institute last attended
University Registration Receipts
Two Stamp size and two Pass port size photographs
Medical Report from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed Performa.

Cancellation of Admission Offer will be done

If any information provided in the application form is found incorrect or misleading.
Those who fail to submit the final degree result on time as stipulated or fail to secure minimum eligible marks in the degree examination.
Non-fulfillment of terms and conditions of the admission offer letter.

It may be noted that no fees will be refunded to the candidate whose admission is cancelled or one who has withdrawn from the programme on his/her own.

Admission Process:

Successful candidates will be intimated of their final selection through admission offer letter containing the terms and condition of the admission. For the offer to be valid, the selected candidates, after going through the contents of admission offer letter, need to confirm and accept the offer with the terms and conditions for taking admission to the programme through "Acceptance Letter" along with a demand draft for Rs. 30,000/- favouring "KIIT School of Rural Management payable at Bhubaneswar towards the confirmation fee. The confirmation fee so deposited will not be refunded under any circumstances. All the candidates who have been offered admission have to pay the fees as stipulated in the admission offer otherwise they would forfeit their seat to the person next on the waiting list.

Mode of Application:
Application need to be made in the prescribed form (downloadable) available in this section of the website. Completed application along with copies of the supporting documents should reach the admissions office on or before 30th April 2009. No application fee is payable for the application and the selection thereof.
